Showing posts with label black friday

Every year Black Friday is starting sooner and sooner; at first it was just the Friday after Thanksgiving, then it was Thanksgiving night, then it was the entire week before and now it seems like the sales started on November 1st, or even before Halloween this year.

However, if you're a savvy shopper you know that sometimes the deals are better on actual Black Friday than before, but I think this year might be the exception because Thanksgiving is so late. The shopping season is cut off by at least a week since Black Friday is November 29th, so most retailers Black Friday sales started last week.

In addition to sales getting earlier and earlier, they've also gotten smaller; the percentage off is not as strong as they have been in the past but if you know the retailer to look at, you might find some gems.

I wanted to round up some of the sales I'm going to be shopping, mostly for gifts, but maybe for one or two items for myself.

I'll update this post throughout the week with more deals as they come out but wanted to get some picks out there before the shopping really picked up!

Tis the shopping season! It seems like Black Friday has been going on for over a month but we've made it to the big day. Black Friday gets earlier and earlier every year but I hardly shop the early sales. I never fully trust the retailer's pre-Thanksgiving sales and like to wait until I see the final Black Friday sale prices, that way I know I'm getting the best deal.

The key to find out if the early sales are the real Black Friday sales is to read the fine print of the offer. It'll tell you when the promotion ends so it's very clear if a new one will come on Black Friday aka November 23rd this year.

I spent most of the weekend scouring the internet for the sales I'll be shopping, and the sales from retailers/brands I love...all to live in this post & be updated throughout the next two weeks while retailers continue to update their promotions.

The biggest shopping week of the year has arrived and it's also one of the most overwhelming times to be an avid online shopper. My email inbox and Instagram feed is filled to the brim with promotions, sales, and gifts with purchase from my favorite brands and retailers, as well as some brands I don't even like!

Sales started earlier than ever this year, some appearing during the first week of November to get ahead of the supply chain issues and to maximize earnings.

I've already been shopping up a storm and it's honestly not good. I have spent more money in the past few weeks than I have in a long time but my, this time of year always gets me! I also figured that instead of waiting until actual Black Friday to post my sale report, I would post now so you can start shopping!

Most retailers are calling out if this is their true Black Friday sale or if something better will come along in a few days but I think it's safe to say, we have officially transitioned to Cyber Week as the week before Thanksgiving vs just a few days of good deals.

Let's get into it, shall we? I'm only sharing the sales that I would shop for myself!

I have to admit, I have nothing I want to buy on Black Friday. I know, it's very shocking. I just don't need anything and I haven't really thought about what I want. Usually, I'm making Black Friday lists on November 1st but this year, I guess it's like with anything this year, it just doesn't feel right.

Even though I say this now, a few days before Black Friday, I'm sure I will buy at least *one* thing. And just because I might not be shopping doesn't mean I can't share the best deals around! I've done these posts over the years but unlike other bloggers, I usually share the sales I'm going to be shopping or sales I think are really worth it.

It's very easy to feel overwhelmed by all the sales that happen on Friday and over the years, the shopping week starts earlier and earlier. That's why I want to make this as simple as possible and focus on good deals and retailers that I really love. I also will include a section for small businesses that I've seen are doing sales.

Either way, Black Friday is no longer the only big shopping day but it is still fun to sit at home, curl up on the couch with Christmas movies and shop your heart out!

It's the best day of the year! (I have a lot of best days so let's just go with it). Black Friday and Cyber Week are here again! If you want to get technical, Black Friday deals have been happening all week long but now the main event is happening.

I'm first to admit that the deals on Black Friday for your normal, everyday items aren't that great. Most places nowadays have deals all year round so it's not that special. However, that doesn't stop me from shopping!

Black Friday is also a really great time to buy electronics or household items like vacuums (I've seen so many deals on vacuums which is why it randomly is at the top of mind).

However, what I like Black Friday and Cyber Week for the most is to stock up on items (like my Zella Leggings which are on sale for 33% off) or to buy gifts. I'm planning on getting most of my Christmas shopping done on this one day so it's an exciting time.

For my BF posts, I never go into the deep webs of the internet to look for sales I'm not going to shop. I tell you straight up what my favorite deals are

Stoney Clover: 25% off + discount applied at checkout

Kate Spade: 40% off with code TGIBF

Kendra Scott: 25% off + 30% off orders $300+ (discount applied at checkout)

Evil Queen Candles: 20% off with code SHOPSMALL

Jack Rogers: 30% off the entire website with code BF2019

Besame Cosmetics: Sleeping Beauty BUNDLE (Sleeping Beauty book, mirror, base, tote bag, crown $126)

Anthropologie: 30% off entire website + discount applied at checkout

Nordstrom: Cyber Sale, 50% off select items

Ulta: Steals & Deals all weekend long

Evelyn Henson: 25% off with code SHOPSMALL25

May Designs: 40% off everything + applied at checkout

J.Crew: 50% off everything + 60% off sale styles

J.Crew Factory: 60% off everything

Tory Burch: 30% off $250 + 60% off sale items. Discount applied in checkout

Happy shopping!

Happy biggest shopping day of the year! I hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving and are ready for a day of movies, leftovers and shopping.

My Christmas tree was already up before Thanksgiving (last weekend to be exact because my mom wanted to get it over with) but today I'll be decorating the rest of the house and I cannot wait. Christmas officially begins today, at least for me it does, and I want to soak up every last bit of it.

thanksgiving-black friday

I'm planning on a lot of great Christmas/holiday content within the next month so definitely stay tuned for that!

We're also one week away from my 26th birthday so next week I will reflect on that as well as have an extra special surprise for all of you! This is just my favorite time of year and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!

For this week's Royal Round Up, I think I'll skip the usual set up and just talk about the Black Friday deals I'm going to shop and show you what I plan to get. I will admit I've been planning for Black Friday since last week because I get super overwhelmed so I made about four different lists trying to figure things out.

Usually, it's really hard for me to figure out what the deals are going to be for each retailer as I try to plan what to buy but this year a lot of retailers made it easier by releasing their Black Friday deals early, as early as Tuesday! Therefore, I've already made a few purchases.

PS: Make sure you sign up for eBates before doing any holiday shopping. I use eBates so much and it's a lifesaver! You make money back from retailers who use eBates. There are always higher cash backs on Black Friday so I highly recommend setting up an account before clicking 'Check Out'

Here's what I'm planning on:

Rebecca Minkoff: 25% off $100+ with code THX25

This sale started earlier in the week and I took that as a chance to order the bag I have been eyeing for a few months. I scored the Edie Flap Shoulder Bag in Grey and it's already been shipped so I cannot wait to rock this bag!

Alex and Ani: 20% off all orders

This is another sale that started earlier in the week and I really want to pick up a ring or two, and maybe a Christmas bangle. Below is what I have my eye on!

Kate Spade

Aside from the 75% off Surprise Sale going on right now, take 30% off the actual website with the code GIVECHEER

Baublebar: 30% off entire website

I haven't shopped at Baublebar for at least a year but I'm being pulled back in with some of their rings! Rings are just my favorite piece of jewelry and I can never have enough.

Evil Queen Candles

I've talked about Evil Queen so many times before and Black Friday is one of the only times these candles go on sale! Stock up and save 20% on your order with code SHOPSMALL

ban.do

Ban.do has always been a one-stop shop for everything adorable and chic. Take 30% off your order with code THIRTYOFF

American Eagle/Aerie: Get 40% off everything and free shipping

I already shopped this sale and just picked up a pair of black jeggings and a sweater. There is so much more to shop on American Eagle and Aerie so definitely check it out!

Sephora: $10-15 Exclusive Kits

Sephora doesn't really have a 'sale' on Black Friday but they do offer exclusive kits so keep an eye on their website for that! You can get a preview here.

J.Crew Factory: The Factory is full of deals! 40% off sitewide, 80% off clearance.

Happy shopping everyone!

I'm currently sitting on my couch with my aunt, uncle, & mom, watching Football and awaiting for the appriporate time to eat leftovers.

I was going to blog Wednesday & yesterday but just didn't have the time. I was cooking and baking and had to run errands, and I was just exhausted by the end of it.

I wanted to have this post up earlier but I woke up late and was spending time with my family (and working because uh, it's the biggest shopping day of the year).

I've already shopped a few Black Friday sales before Black Friday even began, so I don't have too much shopping to do but I still wanted to round up my favorite sales of the day/weekend.

Kate Spade: 30% off with code GIVEJOY

May Designs: 40% off notebooks, 20% off accessories

Nordstrom: Extra 20% off sale items

Charlotte Tilbury: 50% off select kits & deals all weekend long

*I really am tempted to buy one of the beauty advent calendars for 50% off and I'm doing my best to resist temptation.

J.Crew: 40% off your purchase

J.Crew Factory: 50-60% off everything

Sephora also is having their $15 and under kit sale which I also shopped and picked up this IT Cosmetics skincare set.

Don't pass on QVC today either; 5 ezpayments on all their beauty & electronic items AND free shipping on everything. It's a must shop in my opinion.

Let me know what you're buying!! Happy Shopping!

It was a great week. A really fabulous, awesome week! I turned 23 years old on Monday and it was honestly one of the best birthdays in a while. It felt like my birthday for once, and my sister baked me cupcakes and I got the most adorable Kate Spade bag as a present from my mom.

The weekend was fun too -- I had a birthday brunch and all my best friends from college came and celebrated. It was good food, laughs, and endless amounts of mimosas.

Actually, now that I think about it, I haven't really "blogged" about life since before Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving was fabulous and the entire weekend was really great. Food and family and a few birthday cakes is always a plus in my book.

I shopped a shit ton on Black Friday and throughout the weekend, and on Cyber Monday. I don't know if I'll blog about everything but I'm sure you will see my purchases here and there in reviews and monthly favorites. I already have some great posts planned for next week--it may be an entire beauty themed week but I've never done that and I have a lot of beauty products that I want to talk about.

Aside from having a great week (I also have off from work today, it's my mom's birthday, and my family is coming over to celebrate tonight), it was also my first time working Black Friday/Cyber Monday at a retail company. Working e-commerce on Cyber Monday was INSANE! I have never experienced anything like it but it was sort of thrilling. I'm a social media coordinator but help out with customer service so it was really crazy on Monday. It was really interesting though.

Alright, I'll stop babbling and here are my links I loved this week!

I've fallen into a book funk after reading/listening to some amazing ones. This is such a great list to go off of!

It's officially December and it's time for Christmas movies!!!!! ELF is FOREVER my #1

What did you love this week?? Happy weekend everyone!

So here it is. The day we wait all year for. The biggest shopping day/weekend of the entire year and my goodness, it is a shopaholic's dream!

I shop like crazy all year round but I love a good sale/deal so this is my Christmas.

I know I won't be buying a lot for myself but I will definitely be getting gifts for my family and friends. But let's be honest, I wouldn't be me if I didn't get myself at least ONE gift!

Here are the sales that I'll be shopping, mostly online because I don't want to face the crowds and there are sometimes better deals online than in store.

Ulta Beauty: Special deals & steals on certain items

American Eagle Outfitters: 40% off & free shipping!

Spring: 20% off entire site!

BaubleBar: 30% off with code THX

Birchbox: 25% off with code BIGDEAL

Sephora: They have their annual $10 deals which are a steal!!

Kate Spade: 25% off with code MERCI

Best Buy: Doorbuster (I'll be buying a new JawboneUp Fitness Tracker)

If I come across any other sales that I think are worthy, or that I shop, I will definitely up this post!

What sales are you looking forward too? And also, do you do more shopping this weekend in store or online? I'm very curious what other people's shopping habits are!

I apologize for last week not having a Links to Love post up...it was a bad week. I know I'm really vague about my personal life on the blog and I don't know whether that bothers anyone or not. I don't know whether or not you guys want to know about my problems or if I really want to put my real life problems out into the world this way.

Anyways...this week was a whole lot better and Christmas is in two weeks! I'm so excited! The energy in the air is so cheery and I think I like Christmas so much better this year because I'm not in school. I could enjoy December 1st-25th without suffering through all nighters and finals.

I've been spending my nights sitting by the Christmas tree, watching Christmas movies and unwinding from the day. It really is so nice to not have to study for finals for the first time in years.

Another thing about this week that was fabulous was that I got all my Black Friday and Cyber Monday purchases...and continued to shop along with getting a new Influenster VoxBox and Birchbox in the mail.

Tomorrow I'm going to Santacon (read my post on last minute costume ideas) and I'm so excited to see my friends, it's actually ridiculous.

Enjoy the weekend and here is some light reading for the weekend!

Happy Friday and enjoy the second to last weekend till Christmas!

A few months back I told you all about how I was trying to save more money and I've been really great at it. I haven't gotten myself into a crazy amount of debt, been paying off my credit cards, and started paying my student loans. I've honestly been really proud of myself...

That is until the biggest shopping weekend of the year came upon me and I went a little nuts. I definitely could've done a lot more damage but my wallet definitely felt the hit.

I decided to treat myself to a few products I've been wanting and items I knew I needed...but like I said, it's not as bad as you think.

As big of a shopaholic as I am, I don't really follow through on all my purchases. I can't tell you the number of times I filled my cart up with goodies, entered my credit card info, and then just cancelled out the entire window. Sometimes, my buyer's remorse gets the best of me before I even purchase something.

I'll stop rambling and share my purchases. Everything I bought was truly a steal, whether it was 30%, 40%, or 50% off, plus free shipping. I wasn't messing around!

American Eagle Chunky Cable Knit Cardigan (ON SALE NOW) American Eagle Jeggings American Eagle Blanket Scarf Coastal Scents Beijing Eyeshadow Palette Coastal Scents Brushes 1 2 3 4 Bauble Bar Crystal Mason Ring in Rose Gold (I've talked about this ring for MONTHS and I finally got it and I'm obsessed)  tarte Lights, Cameras, Fashes mascara (this was a purchase for my mom but I got a sample of the lights, camera, lashes mascara)
Aside from my own frivolous purchases, I helped my mom pick out my Christmas presents. With all the deals going on, you couldn't pass them up. I picked out this C. Wonder Monogrammed Tote and two Baublebar necklaces. (1 2)

Sidenote: USE EBATES! I know you've all probably heard of the site but may have thought it was a scam. I kid you not, this site is a godsend. All you have to do is create an account and whenever you want to shop online, just go to Ebates first to see if you can earn cash back. Some sites will have more cash back than others but during Black Friday/Cyber Monday, some sites had DOUBLE the cash back.

Your cash back earnings are stored in your account and Ebates will send you a check in the mail. You actually are getting paid to shop. This is incredible.

This was my one treat to myself, along with some other frivolous purchases from Target and CVS that I may haul but for now, this is it. Back to saving money!

Shop all my purchases here!

What did you all get during the big shopping weekend? Please share in the comments!!

Is anyone else seriously stressed out about Black Friday and Cyber Monday? They are two of my favorite days of the year...I mean, they are a shopacholics dream. I am just so completely overwhelmed over all the sales/items. It's so confusing and quite honestly, I have no idea where to start.

I was off from work all week and occupied myself by researching all the sales and figuring out which items were really worth it. There is always so many things on my wish lists so this is a perfect time to score some items I've really been wanting.

I get distracted very very easily, especially while online shopping/reading blogs/looking at every sale the internet has to offer. I don't want to buy products I don't need/don't know if I really even want...I tend to see a sale and get an item just because it's on sale. Not good for my wallet because I've been very good about my spending.

For that reason, I've been making lists on lists on the things I really want. I also made a list of stores or online boutiques that I want items from but unsure what kind of sale they will be having.

Side-note: This is a great time to buy Christmas gifts if you know exactly what you want to buy your friends/family.

I thought about listing all sales going on this weekend but that is just excessive and there are just too many out there. Instead, I'll just list my favorites/the ones I will most likely be shopping.

//American Eagle: 40% off EVERYTHING AND FREE SHIPPING(HOLY SHIT EXCUSE MY LANGUAGE BUT MY GOODNESS, THIS IS EPIC) I currently have 19 items in my cart, most of them underwear, bras, and pajamas but here are the few other items I'm thinking of.

//Ulta: Both Ulta and Sephora (as far as I know) are only having special deals on certain items. Two items I want from Ulta is the Bare Minerals Finishing Act Face & Lips and Mario Badescu Ulta Favorites Kit. (can't find any links right now)

//Sephora: Sephora was doing this thing all week where they uploaded their Black Friday previews to their Snapchat account. I didn't see anything enticing expect for a trio of Tarte products: an Amazonian Clay Blush and two other items I can't remember #facepalm.

//BaubleBar: I don't know what sale they're having but there is so much that I want so I plan on taking full advantage of whatever they have.

//Coastal Scents: 50% off the ENTIRE SITE. No code needed. I've been needing one of their Go Palettes and this will be the #1 thing I purchase this Black Friday.

These are the sales I will definitely be shopping...the ones I have already got my cart ready for. I haven't truly decided what I'll do about other sites, shops, and stores but I'll check back in next week with the damage I have caused.

What are you buying on Black Friday/Cyber Monday? I would love to see what you guys are picking up and what your suggestions are!

Cyber Monday is my Superbowl, it is my Christmas and is better than any day of the year. It's the perfect Monday.

It was extra sweeter this year since it fell the Monday after my birthday weekend so my bank account was filled and ready to go!

I did in fact go a little crazy because I had put myself on a such a strict spending limit over the last few months. Living on my own, paying bills and going grocery shopping along with trying to have a social life does not leave enough wiggle room for frivolous purchases.

I treated myself, though, and bought some lovely little goodies.

Lilly Pulitzer Tusk in the Sun Tumbler

What did you score on Black Friday/Cyber Monday? Let me know in the comments!

I mentioned a few months ago that I received my first Julep Maven box--after that I cancelled my subscription because honestly, I just can't afford it.

I do love their products and that's why I grabbed at the chance to buy a few things on Black Friday.

Everything was cheap, with free shipping, and additional add ons. I couldn't resist!

For $20 I got two polishes and the Julep Quick Dry Drops (which are pure magic!)

The two polishes I got were "Hailee" which is a green, sparkly, matte polish and "Whitney", a brown/beige color.

I've been searching high and low for the perfect beige that doesn't have a grey tint to it and Whitney is my perfect match!

I painted my nails last week with "Hailee" and was in love with it. The matte finish really shows and is so different from any other polish out there. Two coats is all you need and the sparkle green color is great for the winter.

The one complaint I had was that "Hailee" didn't stay on too long; it began to fade the day after I polished my nails. When I put another coat on, it chipped the day after again. But honestly, isn't that all polishes? I still love it!

"Whitney" is a completely different story! I've had it on my nails since last Monday and they haven't chipped yet! I am in pure shock at how strong the formula is. I think I applied three coats, a top coat, and then the Quick Dry Drops but still, they have maintained their color and shine. I'm in love!

The Quick Dry Drops are seriously magic. I have never in my life used a product like this one and I'm pretty sure I will buy it for the rest of my life. I almost don't want to tell anyone because I want to keep the secret to myself.
With one drop a minute after the final polish application, your nails are instantly dry. You would think I'm lying but I am surely not. They really do dry instantly. I can't even believe a product like this finally exists!

All in all, Julep Maven has an amazing line of great formula polishes and a bunch of other great nail/beauty products.

It's a wonderful company that I will continue to buy products from.

Happy Manicure Monday !
