I first want to start out this post with something completely unrelated to the Fashion Files. Over the weekend, I was published on PopSugar.

PopSugar is truly my favorite website and really a one-stop shop for whatever you want to read about. It has been my dream for so long to have a byline on there, and this is extra special because it's all about how I've lost 20 pounds since July.

I've mentioned it multiple times on here that I started Weight Watchers in July and it has been quite the life-changing journey. I don't want to be one of those preachy people but if you read the article, you'll see what I mean.

Now that this article is published and I've hit the 20-pound mark, I'll start sharing more about WW on Royally Pink, including lots of recipes that I've found to be a hit. Stay tuned for that!

Let's move onto the purpose of this post... leggings!

I wear leggings every single day. That is not an exaggeration. I wear leggings every day to work and on the weekends. I wear them to the gym and to lounge around my house. The last time I wore jeans was probably 2-3 months ago and that was the first time I wore jeans in MONTHS.

It's not that jeans don't fit me because they do. Even before the 20-pound weight loss I had jeans that fit and looked good and were comfortable. It's just that, leggings are more comfortable.

It's becoming a problem and I guess a little bit of a security blanket; my mom has told me multiple times to wear something besides leggings but I just can't stop.

They are too comfortable and go with everything. They're so versatile so you could dress them up and down. I wear leather leggings and soft leggings and gym leggings -- I just can't get enough.

My love affair with a good pair of leggings is truly taking over my life.

Because of this, I've worn a lot of different pairs and types of leggings, so I definitely have my favorites.

I've talked about my ultimate favorite before and that is definitely the Kate Spade x Beyond Yoga Legging. I have about 4 pairs of them and every time they go on sale, I buy a new pair to stock up on.  They are my go-to for work and play and my most worn by far.

Another pair that I love and have recently rediscovered in my drawer of black leggings is Zella. I only have one pair but they are by far the most comfortable in my collection. They suck you in, make you look thin (almost like comfy Spanx) and don't get too stretchy as the day wears on. I definitely need another pair but I highly recommend looking into Zella. I bought mine at Nordstrom and I think they have the best selection.

Finally, my other favorite brand for leggings is American Eagle. These are my OG leggings and the brand I have/had the most of. They are pretty inexpensive compared to Kate Spade and Zella but the quality is also a little less. These are the leggings that rip on me the most and I've had to throw quite a few pairs out but I also am wearing them every day so wear is a lot more than the usual person.

However, the price outweighs that in my opinion and sometimes you'd rather spend $30 on a pair of leggings you'll wear for a year instead of spending $100, ya know? AEO has so many different types of leggings and you're bound to find something that suits your style.

*My one pair of faux leather leggings are also from AEO and they're so comfy and I need to wear them so much more this winter season.

What are your favorite brands for leggings?

We're in the full throws of the fall season and this past weekend, I felt the true feeling of fall. Saturday, in NYC, we had shitty weather and it was very humid but Sunday & Monday it made up for it. It was raining Sunday but the perfect fall rain, with the perfect chill in the air...

I was so in my zone; windows open, candles lit, and I watched Halloween movies all day. It was truly the perfect fall day... and it got me thinking about this post. I have so many opinions about this lovely season, and I pretty much mention the fact that I love fall in every single post (I'm sorry!)

There are so many things that are my "favorite" on a daily basis, but particularly during the fall season, my love of items comes out to play pretty strongly.

I wanted to do a round up post of the best fall items to have for the season, and what my favorites at the moment are. Everything from beauty to home to fashion, these are my must-haves for the season.

A few special callouts:

ShopEvilQueen Candles (I mentioned these in my Monthly Muse post)
Bath and Body Works Candles -- Pumpkin Pecan Waffles is my FAV right now
Kittenish by Jessie James Decker Chunky Beanie
Pumpkin Spice Granola
Hocus Pocus

What are some of your favorite fall items?
The weather in New York has been...well rather less than appealing. I love cold weather more than anyone I've ever met but to be wearing a jacket in May and having cold rain for a week straight is less than ideal.

That being said, I have not yet broken into my spring essentials. I switched my closet over a while ago but thankfully I didn't put all my winter clothes away... or better said, I didn't take all my spring & summer clothes out.

I'm hoping that the last of the bad weather is behind us because I can definitely get on board with nice weather (70 degrees & a light breeze is my ideal). If this is the case, I need some more spring clothes & accessories. I much prefer shopping for the winter and I always have more clothes for the cold months.

When spring & summer roll around, I do a nice amount of shopping for clothes and shoes. Shoes are something I'm always in desperate need of, no matter the season.

I've put off buying until now, waiting to see what I have and what I needed.

I'm looking more toward casual & chic this spring, especially things I can wear to work. Last summer was all about comfort, and I'll never let go of that, but I want to be slightly more fashionable.

We'll see if I end up getting any of these items!

What are you looking to buy this season?

December went incredibly fast...way too fast for my liking. I so enjoy the Christmas season. My favorite thing to do this month was light a candle, turn on a Christmas movie, light the Christmas tree, and sit on the couch for the entire night.

There was nothing more relaxing.

I needed all the relaxation I could get this month...my personal life was a mess and I felt as if I was spiraling out of control. I just couldn't get a grip on anything and it was incredibly frustrating.

I got past it, with the help of the holidays and satisfying my sweet tooth. I'm in a much better place now and ready to really get my shit together.

I was really sad to see the Christmas season go...we took down my Christmas tree and there's no more red cups at Starbucks and life is just not as fun without Christmas.

Anyways...I had so many favorite things this month (most of them beauty products) and I tried out so many new beauty products so those reviews will be up and coming soon.

For now, here's some favorites.

NYX Wonder Pencil: I saw this in an article online and went out to the drugstore that day and found the last one at my CVS. I have the shade 'medium' and it's basically a 'do everything' pencil. The packaging says you could use it as an eye brightener or neutral lip liner but I've only used it on my eyes. I put it in my water line every day, even on days I don't wear makeup, just to widen and brighten my eyes, making me appear more awake.

Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara by Tarte: I'm not a huge mascara buff; I'm not too picky when it comes to any makeup aside from concealer so I switch it up a lot. I got this baby in the Bon Voyage Collectors set and I haven't been using anything else. It's a skinny wand, not too wet of a formula, and makes my lashes really long and separates them. It's a great everyday mascara and I've been addicted.

Sweaters: This is such a random favorite but I'm obsessed with sweaters. I live for the fall and winter seasons so it's rare that I'll be in anything but a sweater. I love my J.Crew sweaters for standard wear and dressing them up with a statement necklace or scarf. My favorite though, has been my oversized American Eagle cardigan. Talk about comfortable. Ugh, it's heaven!

Clarisonic: I feel like this should be a January favorite because I got this bad boy for Christmas and only have been using it for two weeks but I can't get enough. I'll do an entire post at the end of the month about it but I've never known how much I needed this. My skin is singing praises since I started using it!

Aerie Waffle Sleep Leggings: Another random favorite from Christmas...I got these pajama pants from my mom and really haven't been wearing anything else. They're super comfortable and stretchy but cinch at the ankle like leggings. They're just as the name says, legging pajamas and my mom thought they'd be uncomfortable but it's the total opposite. I love sleeping and lounging in these because I don't feel like I'm wearing pajamas. Give me more pairs!

Californication: I feel as if I always have a TV favorite but this was the show of the month. I watched 7 seasons within a week and a half and already started rewatching it because I missed it so much. It's super easy to go through but dear lord, it's inappropriate. Sex, drugs, nudity...but the story is incredible. I'm addicted and it's definitely one of my top 5 shows of all time!

I have so much fun stuff planned for January and the rest of the year so stay tuned :)

What was your favorites in the month of December?

Is anyone else seriously stressed out about Black Friday and Cyber Monday? They are two of my favorite days of the year...I mean, they are a shopacholics dream. I am just so completely overwhelmed over all the sales/items. It's so confusing and quite honestly, I have no idea where to start.

I was off from work all week and occupied myself by researching all the sales and figuring out which items were really worth it. There is always so many things on my wish lists so this is a perfect time to score some items I've really been wanting.

I get distracted very very easily, especially while online shopping/reading blogs/looking at every sale the internet has to offer. I don't want to buy products I don't need/don't know if I really even want...I tend to see a sale and get an item just because it's on sale. Not good for my wallet because I've been very good about my spending.

For that reason, I've been making lists on lists on the things I really want. I also made a list of stores or online boutiques that I want items from but unsure what kind of sale they will be having.

Side-note: This is a great time to buy Christmas gifts if you know exactly what you want to buy your friends/family.

I thought about listing all sales going on this weekend but that is just excessive and there are just too many out there. Instead, I'll just list my favorites/the ones I will most likely be shopping.

//American Eagle: 40% off EVERYTHING AND FREE SHIPPING(HOLY SHIT EXCUSE MY LANGUAGE BUT MY GOODNESS, THIS IS EPIC) I currently have 19 items in my cart, most of them underwear, bras, and pajamas but here are the few other items I'm thinking of.

//Ulta: Both Ulta and Sephora (as far as I know) are only having special deals on certain items. Two items I want from Ulta is the Bare Minerals Finishing Act Face & Lips and Mario Badescu Ulta Favorites Kit. (can't find any links right now)

//Sephora: Sephora was doing this thing all week where they uploaded their Black Friday previews to their Snapchat account. I didn't see anything enticing expect for a trio of Tarte products: an Amazonian Clay Blush and two other items I can't remember #facepalm.

//BaubleBar: I don't know what sale they're having but there is so much that I want so I plan on taking full advantage of whatever they have.

//Coastal Scents: 50% off the ENTIRE SITE. No code needed. I've been needing one of their Go Palettes and this will be the #1 thing I purchase this Black Friday.

These are the sales I will definitely be shopping...the ones I have already got my cart ready for. I haven't truly decided what I'll do about other sites, shops, and stores but I'll check back in next week with the damage I have caused.

What are you buying on Black Friday/Cyber Monday? I would love to see what you guys are picking up and what your suggestions are!

The countdown is really on right now; I leave for Punta Cana in FOUR days. All my clothes are purchased, packing has begun and my nail appointment has been made, now all we do is wait. It's definitely going to be a hectic week of preparing but the end result is going to be incredible.

I, like every other girl, have a lot of trouble shopping for bathing suits so this has been a long shopping process. Because I hate shopping for bathing suits and summer clothes so much, I made the odd decision to buy the same bikini in five different colors. My mom thought it was weird but I see no problem with it.

It was also a task to not overpack but bring enough clothes to satisfy my ever changing outfit moods. I haven't put together my outfits yet but in reality I need five bathing suits, five cover ups, and five night outfits. I won't be wearing much else during the day besides a bathing suit and cover up and then wearing a dress or dressy shorts at night. It shouldn't be that difficult but I'm a 21 year old girl so it is.

I also know I'm not the only one struggling with this, fess up ladies!

Here are just some ideas of what to wear on Spring Break!

Spring Break Beach

For the beach, keep it simple; don't go crazy with make-up because it'll just wash off in the water or sweat it off in the sun.

Spring Break Night Out

For at night, I still wouldn't go crazy because it'll be hot and if you keep the accessories to a minimum, it'll be less to pack. Also, I worry way too much about my items getting stolen or my luggage getting loss.

Stay tuned for more Spring Break posts as the week goes on!
