A few weeks back when I went to my first NYFW event, I received a gift card to Shoptiques in my goodie bag. Shoptiques is an online store that houses a bunch of smaller boutiques that sell everything from clothes to shoes to accessories.

It's the most adorable little website that has something for everyone. The prices vary from $30-$100 and even more but like I said, there is something for every price and every style.

I was browsing, looking to spend my giftcard and knew I wanted a beautiful sweater. After quickly looking through the website, I decided on this little cardigan sweater and oh my goodness, I cannot wait for it to arrive! This is gorgeous for work or even for running errands on the weekend. I can't wait to wear it all fall & winter long.

I still have some money left over on my giftcard after buying the sweater and this little number is on my wishlist next. This is something I could also wear to work but it's a little dressier (in my opinion) and could definitely work for a weekend dinner with friends or family.

So I think the title of this blog post is a little misleading. I'm talking about my favorites for fall fashion but it's mostly sweaters.

Sweaters are my favorite item of clothing, especially during the fall. I think they are the most versatile piece of clothing you can keep in your closet. You can dress them up with heels, dress pants, and a chunky statement necklace or you can dress it down with leggings and UGG slippers.

Please, give me all the sweaters!

Sweaters are a staple for me at work -- I have a uniform during the winter and that is black or navy blue jeans/jeggings, a sweater, statement necklace, riding boots or ankle boots.

Because of the previous statements, most of my wish list consists of sweaters. Sorry if that's not your thing but there are so many pretty clothes to share!

There are a few jackets, vests, and jeans included in this slideshow but honestly, I think I'm set for jeans. I bought a few pairs at American Eagle over the past few weeks and I'm obsessed. You can find those items here, here, & here.

I think a few, really good pairs of pants should be the first priority, then you can just switch out tops to have a complete wardrobe. Grab a good pair of neutral riding boots, ankle booties, flats, a good classic neutral handbag and you are good to go!

My number one places to shop for any sort of wardrobe are American Eagle Outfitters & J.Crew Factory -- similar enough to be cohesive in one closet but different enough that not everything is the same.

I seem to be the only blogger that hasn't blogged about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale yet but I feel like it's an obligation, especially because I shopped it hardcore.

I usually hate when every blogger posts about the same thing but this is necessary. It's a ridiculous sale and I've never shopped it before.... and I don't know why. Probably because I never had a job that paid enough for me to have extra cash to shop.

Last week, when the sale went live, I made the bold (and impulse) decision to open a Nordstrom credit card to shop the sale early access. It took me less than five minutes, and I did it at work -- which is highly dangerous. I had the support of my friends who also did the same thing, so it seemed to be a good idea. Right?

I promise I'm cancelling it the moment I pay my bill. I cannot have another store credit card. It's not good for me.

I really did need some new fall, work clothes, and a new pair of ballet flats. I figured the prices were too difficult to resist so I took the plunge.

Funny story... after I placed this order, I placed another impulse order of $70 on this Kendra Scott Necklace and this Bucket Bag (Currently unavailable but here is a similar one) . I quickly panicked and had intense buyer's remorse so I called Nordstrom and asked them to cancel the order.

The next day, I calmed down, and re-ordered the necklace along with a Kate Spade iPhone 6 case (I accidentally ordered an iPhone 6 Plus case and didn't realize it until I opened the package. I exchanged it for this one and it's on it's way too me!)

Anyways... I'm continuing to look at the sale and see what other low price goodies I can get! Everything from my order I'm extremely happy with and it's making me long for the fall even more than I already am!

I'm in desperate need of a new summer wardrobe. I was switching all my summer clothes out from my winter clothes last week and realized I have shirts from like 4 years ago. That is an issue.

I need new clothes for work, to lounge around in, and just in general. I especially need shoes! I am the worst at buying shoes (and clothes for that matter). I spend my money on accessories and make-up but I am going to do my best throughout the month of June to stop the frivlous spending and only buy things I need.

LIKE CLOTHES!

I just bought two pairs of American Eagle jeans on clearance and they're okay. They look great on me but they are slightly uncomfortable. My mom's response to that was "You can't always be comfortable" and my answer is YES I CAN. But I'm not returning them because I really need them and they do look really good.

I've been looking everywhere for more clothes but I am honestly so picky. I want to dress trendy but then I stray away from those types of clothes when I'm actually shopping.

My work wardrobe can be a little more on the casual side so that is a gift but still, I'm at a loss for where to shop. I usually stick to American Eagle Outfitters or Nordstrom but I want to venture outside my comfort zone.

But... I've been obsessed with kimonos lately--I got two from Nordstrom Rack and they're super comfortable and easy to wear or match with pretty much everything.

I also really want to try a jumpsuit because they look really comfortable and super easy to wear. This one from American Eagle is calling my name.

I put together a little wish list of things I want/need/lust after and we'll see how much I actually buy in the near future!
