I have always loved being a girl and I am so proud of the woman I have grown into. I directly relate that to my environment and my surroundings; I was always taught to stand on my own two feet, to be strong and believe in yourself.

As I’ve gotten older and more involved in the world, I’ve learned that women around the world do not have the same opportunities that I have had, and do not have control over the many simple aspects of their lives.

One of those aspects is the subject of sexual health and ownership of your body. We, as women, are mature enough to make the decisions that are right for us; I know that I am and that I’m very passionate about being in control of my life *I am a control freak by nature so it’s no surprise that I would want to take control of my sexual wellness and health*

I’m very proud that big companies and organizations, like Vagisil®, believe in that same message and give all women the opportunity to make those choices.

Vagisil® has been a brand that I’ve known about since I was a young girl and now I’m realizing how much of a powerhouse they really are in the area of vaginal health and wellness. For over 40 years, they have been shameless about our vaginal health and have always provided solutions to us, no matter what it is.

I’m proud to partner with Vagisitoday to bring you some more information about being charged and being prepared for your own sexual wellness and health.

Did you know that 1-in-2 women may need emergency contraception at some point in her life? That is a HUGE number, and truthfully, there is nothing to be ashamed about. Do not panic, do not fret because Vagisil® is there to help with their new emergency contraception product:

Preventeza is one tablet, one dose emergency contraceptive that helps stop a pregnancy before it starts. It’s the same ingredients as a regular birth control pill, just a stronger dosage. You should take it within the first 72 hours after unprotected sex or birth control failure, to help prevent the pregnancy before it starts.

It can be an emotional journey to decide to take an emergency contraceptive pill but you know yourself, you know your body and you know the decisions you need to make in order to live a happy, healthy life.

If you want to try Preventeza and always be prepared instead of panicked, buy one, get one free!  You can also find out more information about Preventeza and Vagisil® by going to their website.

This post is sponsored by Summer's Eve ® but all opinions and content is my own

When I 'came of age' as a young lady in my teen years, my mom taught me that it's important to take care of myself, to be super hygienic and to keep myself healthy and clean. I'm talking about my vagina -- (oh my God, I said it on the Internet!) and keeping the lady bits fresh, clean and healthy.

To me, there has always been one brand that I trust with my feminine hygiene, the brand that has been at the forefront of teaching us how to care for ourselves for almost 40 years.

Summer's Eve ®.

I remember the first time I used Summer's Eve ® and I just felt good knowing that I was using something that would keep me clean and not irritate my skin.

Around 15 years later, I'm still a loyal Summer's Eve ® customer and I am very happy to be partnering with them today!

I never wash my lady parts with regular soap or body wash -- I always have a bottle of Summer's Eve ® in my house and don't even get me started on the cleansing cloths-- those are a LIFESAVER and I pretty much never leave the house without one of them. They're very helpful for after the gym, or just on the go. They are especially handy to keep yourself fresh at that time of the month.

Summer's Eve ® was never afraid to put it all out there -- they are the expert on feminine hygiene and health, but they do it in a way that educates us on the importance of these products. it's something I've admired and why I am so loyal to Summer's Eve.

Like I said, this has been ingrained in my brain since a young age and I've been obsessed with the brand ever since I was around 11 years old. I'm always interested to try our Summer's Eve ® new products and new scents but this new line takes the cake.

When I saw the Simply Line, I was more than excited. I'm not one to think about ingredients in my cosmetics products even though I know I definitely should. However, Summer's Eve ® has made it so simple you don't even have to think about it.

I've been using the Coconut Water Cleansing Cloths, the Lavender and Chamomile Gentle Foaming Wash and the Lavender and Chamomile Cleansing Wash. I've always used Cleansing Wash and the Cloths, but the Foaming Wash is new to me and it's just as incredible as other Summer's Eve ® products.

Both the foaming and cleansing washes do the same thing, it's just up to your preference which you would rather use!

The Simply line is free from dyes (who wants dyes in their feminine hygiene products?!), parabens and alcohol (another thing you definitely don't want in your feminine products). They also are infused with botanical extracts and are balanced for our natural pH. The botanical extracts allow for a gentle, effective cleaning -- what more can you possibly want?

The Simply Line (especially the cleansing cloths in my opinion) give you a burst of freshness when you need it. The coconut water cleansing cloths are super gentle and honestly just feel really nice. As I mentioned before I'm not one to worry about ingredients but I can really rest easy knowing that at least I am treating my lady parts nicely and using products that won't irritate me or affect me in a negative way.

I have always loved Summer's Eve ® and the Simply line just gives me more to love!

Have you used Summer's Eve ® products?

This post is brought to you by HBO and Her Campus Media

If you know me, you know that I love television. I am never without the TV on, and even if I'm watching Youtube videos, the TV is on in the background. Even though it's not good, I also sleep with my television on and I don't know how I will ever kick that bad habit.

I've always been that way; my mom and I were actually just talking about the fact that I grew up with a television in my room, and it was just something that was ok in our house. Occasionally, we even had the TV in the kitchen (my grandma still has a TV in the kitchen) -- we are just a TV family.

Even if I'm constantly running around during the week, and then coming home at night and blogging or writing for another site, I always make sure that I catch up on my favorite shows. TV is just part of my life and it's not something I'm willing to sacrifice.

My typical day starts out with my commute to work on the subway, and then I'm at work from 9-5. I get back on the train to journey home and then once I get home, it's usually a mix of dinner, shower, hair and nails, some writing and blogging and then I settle down to watch TV in my bed.

In between dinner, showering, doing my hair and nails, writing and blogging, the TV is on so I do get some catch-up time but once I'm settled in and I can devote all my attention to one thing, it's usually television.

I'm always recording things on my DVR and watching them on the weekends, or my new favorite thing to do is to catch up on movies and shows on HBO Now.

I was always a lover of HBO and I guess I owe that to my main chick, Carrie Bradshaw.

When I was younger, I always knew that I would have to be 'older' to watch HBO because my parents loved watching The Sopranos and my mom loved Sex and the City. When I was finally old enough to embark on my own HBO journey, I was ecstatic.

As HBO became bigger and better, I started watching more shows: Girls, Big Little Lies and True Detective are my top favorites. Plus HBO has all the best movies that you can't find anywhere else. I mean, if I want to watch La La Land, Serendipity (the best Christmas movie), or Fantastic Beasts they have it.

HBO NOW is the best because it has everything and anything you'd ever want to watch. It has every episode of every HBO show and every documentary as well as having the best and biggest movies (like La La Land) before they're available anywhere else.

Clearly, my favorite thing to catch up on the HBO NOW app is Sex and the City. No matter where I am, I can get a fix of Carrie Bradshaw. It's perfect because SATC has always been my go-to whenever I'm feeling down or need a little inspiration, so whenever I need that boost, my girls are there.

The best thing about HBO NOW is that you truly can watch it anywhere. The app on both my iPhone and iPad gets a workout, especially on my commute *thank you unlimited data*. Sex and the City makes the subway rides go much faster and brightens up my mood.

What I am going to take full advantage of now that I have HBO NOW? Binge watching shows I haven't been caught up on, like Game of Thrones.

Everyone and their mother has been talking about GOT and I think it's time I try my hand at it. Thankfully HBO NOW has the entire series so I'll be all caught up in no time *maybe...*

If you're a TV lover, I highly recommend looking into HBO NOW; it just makes life a little easier and a little more fun.

If you're in college, go to you HBOGo.com to see if your school has free HBO GO on campus; if your school isn't available, go to HBONOW.com/student for a discount!

What's your favorite HBO Show?

These products were sent to me but all opinions are my own

It's been years since I realized I had psoriasis on my scalp. I can't even remember a time where my scalp didn't itch or burn. It's been something I've struggled with since I was little and nothing ever quite does the trick.

I've tried lots of shampoos, conditioners, creams, and treatments, but some either don't work, or they make my hair so greasy, it's not even worth it. I've tried prescriptions, high end, drugstore but nothing quite ever works.

When I saw that DermaE, one of my latest favorite skincare brands (and also available in the drugstore) had a psoriasis and eczema line, I jumped at the chance to review it for all of you.

I've talked before about my skin issues, but this just hit so close to home. My psoriasis is MAINLY on my scalp, and it's been getting worse and worse as of late, so why not try something new?

Well, I was certainly surprised when I opened this little package from DermaE and they included lots of goodies from this specific line.

I received the Scalp Relief Shampoo & Conditioner, as well as the Psorzema Creme and body wash. I was super excited to see the other items too because like I said, while my psoriasis is mainly on my scalp, my skin acts up from time to time. These items won't go to waste.

DermaE describes these products as the best natural alternative to prescriptions, because as we know, a lot of people may not be able to afford prescriptions for something like this, or may not have access to it--or just don't like the idea of prescriptions (there are tons of different people out there!)

Both the shampoo & conditioner work to detangle, deflake, soothe, and nourish the scalp & hair. They contain Salicylic Acid, Tea Tree, and Menthol and are also sulfate free (perfect for keratin treated hair), tar free and steroid free. I mean, who doesn't want all those things in a haircare line?

I've used both of these products a few times and I can attest to saying they have helped. My scalp feels slightly less irritated, and my hair is definitely easier to maintain. I know that as I continue to use it, the benefits will start to reap bigger rewards.

My skin hasn't been too bad lately, even though it does act up from time to time, so I haven't used the creme and body wash as much as the shampoo & conditioner, but I have used them.

The unique thing about the body wash? It can be used as a face wash which would definitely come in handy if you have severe psoriasis or eczema on your face. The body wash looks like the shampoo, clear and very gel like. It feels soothing on the skin, which is always a plus. Like I said, my skin isn't acting up at the moment so I can't say whether it helps with the psoriasis but I'm guessing it would because of how soothing it is.

The creme is very, very thick. This would be IDEAL in the wintertime, maybe even now that Spring is nonexistent in NYC at the moment. But anyways... this creme is super thick, and hydrating and soothing. I'm very, very impressed. I've tried a lot of eczema cremes and this is by far the best one.

If you suffer from psoriasis and/or eczema, I highly consider trying this line. You will definitely find something that works for you.

DermaE is always available at DermaE.com, your local Health Food store, Whole Foods, and The Vitamin Shoppe.

This is a sponsored post but all opinions are my own

Target is always my source of weakness. I mean isn't it everyone's? I avoid going to Target as much as possible because I get too sucked in. Between food, music, books, and of course beauty, Target is my place of happiness.

My Target is a 5 minute drive from me and it's awfully dangerous.

It's mostly dangerous because the beauty aisle is the first thing I see when I walk in. Target really is the best place to get beauty and skincare, in my opinion. Target is a tad bit cheaper than regular drugstores and they have a wider selection. I always find different brands and a bigger selection, which is always a plus.

This year, one of my favorite higher end drugstore skincare brands is launching at Target.

DermaE is a fabulous brand that I've discovered in the past few months. I got a scrub by them in my Ipsy or Birchbox a few months back and went through it very quickly. I got another scrub in another Birchbox more recently and have been loving it.

When I found out they were going to be launching at Target, I was super excited because my favorite store + one of my favorite brands=heaven.

Never heard of DermaE? Well.... they use vitamins and plants to create healthy, good for you skincare. They call it "green chemistry" and are cruelty free which I can always appreciate.

I have very sensitive skin and I find that DermaE is one of the only brands that I don't react negatively too.

One of the products that is available right now at your Target stores is the DermaE Firming Eye Lift. If you've been following me for a while you know that I have a thing for eye creams (I'll have a post about that up soon) and this is a really great drugstore eye cream. It has a very smooth, moisturizing texture and isn't heavy at all! I hate nothing more than a heavy eye cream and this is the total opposite of that.

A little video from DermaE all about their Eye Lift!

It claims that the creme will lift, firm, and tighten the skin around your eyes. I'm only 23 years old so I don't need to worry too much about those issues yet but I still do like using this creme. I usually use it in the morning because as I said, it's very light and soaks into the skin almost immediately.

The creme also contains Hyaluronic Acid which provides a slight cooling effect, which is my favorite effect of any skincare product.

I also received some sample packets of other DermaE products
I received the eye creme from DermaE, along with their Hydrating Night Creme which I have been obsessed with. I love a heavy, duty night creme in the winter and this provides some serious moisture. When I'm feeling extra dry, this leaves my skin instantly hydrated and smooth. It definitely has a heavier consistency so definitely only use it at night!

These two products from DermaE, featured at Target, are only fueling my love for the brand. I hope you all #NoticeTheLotus at Target this year and try at least one product from DermaE!

This post is sponsored by InstaNatural and Brandbacker. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

A few months ago, I received some products from InstaNatural and have been testing them out since then. I have a lot of hair and skincare products so I'm always alternating between them, hence the reason this review is super late.

Also, because my skin was acting up, I had to stop using one of the serums I received, just to see if it was irritating my skin (it wasn't)

InstaNatural is an all organic skincare brand that has everything from mud masks to face serums to essential oils. I've been obsessed with skincare lately so I thought it'd be cool to try out some organic, natural products. I am always a little weary of trying brands I've never used but so far so good.

The products I received were an Argan Oil Hair Mask, Argan Oil, and a Vitamin C Serum.

I've heard so many incredible things about what Argan Oil does for your hair and skin so I knew I wanted to try it. I had a small sample bottle of Argan Oil from a Birchbox and I used it to nourish my cuticles so I was really excited to have a huge bottle to use for different things.

I've been using the Argan Oil from InstaNatural really only on my cuticles because I forget to use it for other things (#bloggerfail) and it does an incredible job. I will say that my mom has been using this religiously and has gone through half the bottle. She's obsessed and uses it for everything. She uses it to shave her legs and slathers it on as an in shower moisturizer. It really is an all in one product.

The Vitamin C Serum I have been using sparingly. This is supposed to brighten your skin, even out your skin tone, and fight the signs of aging. It's combined with other oils such as Argan, Rosehip, Sea Buckthorn, and many more. It's very light in texture and melts into your skin. I use this every so often (mostly because I'm afraid of adding anything else into my skincare routine) but I never notice an irritation. I do however, notice that my skin does look more even and bright after a few days of using this. A Vitamin C serum is a definite A+ in my book and should be incorporated as best as possible.

Now for the Argan Oil Hair Mask... this I was not too pleased with (my mother is though). It made my hair feel goopy, dry, and brittle. It didn't leave my hair soft and honestly made my hair feel dirty. I used it once and that's it but my mom started using it and loves it. She says it makes her hair easier to brush and a lot softer. That goes to show you that different products affect everyone differently.

Conclusion... InstaNatural has some amazing products and I think I'll be trying out some more soon. All organic products are really great and oils do wonders for your skin!

What are your favorite all natural beauty products? Tell me in the comments!

This is a sponsored post, as I received one of the products for review, but all my opinions are my own.

Wintertime, aside from autumn, is my favorite season. The cold, the snow, wearing big sweaters and blanket scarves...it's all amazing to me.

With the winter months, comes the blaring cold weather. I don't mind the cold (Frozen reference here) and it's never really affected me, until now. I've never had sensitive skin but over the past few months, my skin has been giving me a rough time.

Between blackheads, white heads, eczema, dry scalp, puffy eyes..you name it, my skin has had a problem with it.

I have been doing my best during the past few months, especially with the colder weather, to keep my skin as moisturized and hydrated as possible. I clearly don't mind because it gives me an excuse to buy and try new beauty products.

The best thing to do with your skin in the winter is keep it hydrated. The cold weather dries out your skin and does not make for a smooth canvas for makeup. Aside from your face, it's important to keep your hands and body fully moisturized as well. But I'm pretty sure you all knew that already.

Over the past few weeks, I've been curating the best and my favorite products to try and review, trying to combat my mess of a dry body.

//Vaseline Intensive Care Aloe Soothe Moisture Lotion: Having a reliable, every day body lotion is the best thing you can have on hand. If you don't have anything else on this list, make sure you find a lotion that you like. I like this one because it has aloe and it's a simple, no fuss lotion. I apply it after the shower to a still wet body (applying lotion while you're still a little damp locks in the moisture) and it leaves my body completely smooth.

//Aveeno Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Creme: When I realized I wasn't just dealing with dry skin but had eczema patches on various parts of my body (face, legs), I knew I needed something a little more heavy duty. After some research, I settled on this gel like cream and it's been working wonders. I apply this on my eczema patches along with on my dry, itchy legs (over the Vaseline Total Moisture) and it clears up the patches within a few days.

//Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue: I really enjoy BabyLips as a stand alone chapstick but the eczema around my lips became a little more serious. I used this (and lost it) last winter but I remembered it did wonders for me. It leaves a tingly sensation on your lips which I like because it feels like it's actually doing something and my lips have been less chapped since using. I'm going to do a "best lip balms" post because I've tried SO many but this one is definitely high on the list.

//Evian Water Facial Spray: I've always been curious about facial sprays and have read about the benefits of them but never truly tried one. I was sent this Evian Spray free for review and I was really excited to try this. I have been using this religiously in a bunch of different ways. Between spraying this before and after my makeup as a setting spray, using it in the morning before my moisturizer or at night after cleansing, and just during the day whenever I feel like my skin needs some moisture, it's been my best friend. I'm borderline obsessed with how it makes my skin feel and look and it's cool enough to truly wake me and my skin up in the morning.

//Vaseline Rosy Lip Therapy: I jumped on the Vaseline Lip Therapy train a few weeks back after debating it for a while. I didn't like the idea of applying Vaseline to my lips...I don't like the texture of Vaseline but I finally decided to jump the gun. I don't like applying this during the day because it's too thick but applying it at night and letting the lip therapy do it's thing is magical. I wake up with my lips smooth and soft.

//Head and Shoulders Almond Oil Shampoo: Since I was about 11 years old, I've dealt with dry scalp and eczema on my scalp. It was really painful when I was younger but after a few years, I learned to deal with it properly. During the winter months, it's important for me to use an ultra moisturizing shampoo that caters to dry scalp. Head and Shoulders is by far the best I've found and it does every thing I need it too.

Honorable mentions (I'm trying out a few different ones right now and I'll do separate posts on them): eye cream, hand cream, and tinted lip balms.

What are your winter skincare essentials that leave you feeling fresh and smooth?

POPSUGAR provided me with a complimentary POPSUGAR Must Have box. The opinions I have shared about the box are my own and POPSUGAR did not tell me what to say or how to say it.

Being part of the PopSugar Select Blogger Program is a lot of fun, for many reasons. One of the reasons is this bad boy right here...getting the chance to review Must Have Boxes.

This is a subscription service for $40 a month which may seem pricey but all the boxes exceed $100, and you get all full size products.

Each month is clearly themed and you get a goodie bag delivered right to your door. It's so much fun and I've considered subscribing myself.

For now, I'll stick to occasionally getting a box to review!

There was a lot of hype over this month's box mostly because there were no spoilers or reviews to be found until this week. Seriously, no one knew what was coming and people on social media/the internet were freaking out.

I walked into my house Saturday morning, after running a few errands, and saw the box sitting on the counter. I literally let out a squeal, I was so excited to see what was inside!

I immediately opened it and dug in.

I wouldn't say I'm disappointed with the box because I'm certainly not...there just wasn't one product that wowed me. For example, in the August box, subscribers received a piece of Kendra Scott jewelry--that is a wow factor.

This was however, the most perfect fall themed box. So.Much.Fall.Goodness!

Shall we start?

//Happy Socks: The most adorable pair of high socks ever! I love fun designed socks, especially for the winter. These have an adorable animal print design and are dark colored (my favorite) so I can't wait to use these. (Retail price$12)

//Nailed Kit Halloween Decals: I love holiday nails but Halloween nails are something I never got into. I will definitely be trying these out once I redo my nails. They're really cute and seem easy to use! Be on the look out for a manicure monday--Halloween edition! (Retail price $8)

//butterLONDON Wink Eye Pencil: This was my favorite item in the box, because hey, it's an eyeliner. I've always wanted to try out butterLONDON beauty products but can't justify the price tag so I'm really happy I got this. It's a dark, metallic grey color that is super creamy and smooth. It's also really long lasting because I ran my hand under water and scrubbed to get off the swatch and it did not budge. This will be a fall beauty staple, for sure. (Retail price $18)

//Isaac Jacobs International Acrylic Frame: This is a precious home item and I think it's super cute. I won't be keeping it for myself but rather keeping it in my living room for my mom to decide what picture to put in it. It is a nice addition to the box though. (Retail price $36)

//Mine Design Chalkboard Candle: I was really really excited for this when I saw it! I LOVE candles, they're my new thing, and my Autumn Harvest candle is almost gone. The candle is held in a chalkboard container and comes with chalk to write on. It's the most precious idea ever and super fun and creative. The scent I got was pomegranate and it smells really nice. YAY for candles! (Retail price $24)

//Dean & DeLuca Pumpkin Spice Malt Balls: I haven't tried these yet but they look scrumptious. I'm an avid pumpkin lover so yeah, I'll try anything pumpkin. Add some dark chocolate into the mix and you've got yourself the perfect fall snack. (Retail price $5.75)

//K.Hall Designs Shoreline Shea Butter/Olive Oil Bar Soap: This was a Popsugar extra which is always a nice surprise. I'm not huge on bar soap because I don't like the residue it leaves behind but my mom does so I'm sure someone will get use out of this.

Overall, I was satisfied with this month's box. It was filled with lots of sweet and cute fall items and I'm already looking forward to the next box I get to review!

If you want to subscribe to PopSugar Must Have, there's currently a discount code for $10 off a 3-month subscription! The code is: OCT10SELECT and expires November 2nd.

This post was sponsored by Billion Dollar Brows but all opinions are my own.

I don't consider myself a true trendy person. There are always some trends in the beauty and fashion world that I don't like and won't jump on. My mom has always told me "but it's in style" when showing me a new style jacket or jean and I just don't buy it.

I'm so original ;)

But in reality, I do like to follow certain trends and one of my favorite trends of lately (the past year or so) has been big, bold brows.

I'm Italian and graced with thick and unruly hair...and that includes my eyebrows. Since I was 12 years old, I've gotten my eyebrows waxed and threaded to keep them in shape. I never have them too thin but it's refreshing to see big eyebrows in style.

I've been experimenting with doing my brows whenever I do my makeup and it really does help me feel and look more put together.

When doing your brows, you always need the right tools and I've been on the hunt for the perfect brow pencil, highlight and gel and everything in between.

When I got the chance to review the "Billion Dollar Brows Best Seller Kit", I was so excited because it was everything you need right in one, easy set.

The set comes with four products; BDB Universal Brow Pencil, that claims it can work for the lightest or darkest hair, BDB Brow Gel, a highlight and concealer duo pencil, and a smudge brush.

I received the kit a few weeks ago but wanted to give myself time to actually use the products and give a good review.

Well, I have to say this stuff is awesome.

-The Universal Brow Pencil is a light brown shade but you can press harder to create a more dramatic color. The pencil is good; it's a little loose in the packaging so its hard to get a grip but I've been hunting for a good brow pencil and this is really good. The best thing is that there is a spoolie brush on the other end of the pencil which makes combing and taming my brows really easy.

The brow pencil allows you to fill in your brows and create whatever kind of look you want, whether it's really bold or just a simple look.

-The brow gel I just began using and the brush is a little odd to work with but after a few tries it should be fine. It's not too thick or too thin, it's a pretty good consistency and it's one of the few brow gels that really keeps everything in place.

-I haven't used the smudge brush yet but I'm excited to use it in different ways. It's a really soft, flat top brush that is supposed to be used to blend the brow pencil. It can be used to apply eyeliner and eyeshadow and I'm super excited to try it out.
-The concealer/highlight duo pencil is also something I just started using. I haven't tried the concealer yet but the highlight end of the pencil....OHMYGOD. I've used a few brow highlights in my day but this, this is the creamiest, lightest highlighter. It applies like a dream and you only need a little bit to make your brow bone sparkle. It's not shimmery but just light enough to give you extra spunk.

I really really love this kit. It gives you the ability to perfect your brows and give you the exact look you want. It retails for $34.99 at Khol's.

What are your "go to" brow tools? Tell me in the comments :)
