Holiday 2023 Giveaway

in , , by RoyallyPink, 5:00 AM

Tis the season for giving and this year I wanted to host my annual giveaway during the holidays. I also want to celebrate another successful blogging/content creating year so I wanted to give back to all of you who make it possible.

I have so many fun items in the giveaway that I hope you'll be excited about too; everything from KISS false eyelashes & press ons, Eczema Honey body care, and a Skinny Confidential Le Spoon Body Sculptor.

It has been 10 years since I published my first blog post. It was, of course, a Manicure Monday review where I compared L'Oreal nail polish to Essie polish. The rest is history.

I started Royally Pink after reading Carly's blog, then The College Prepster, and thought 'wow, there is an entire online world here that I didn't know existed. I could do this!' I became obsessed with blogs, obsessed with writing, and obsessed with the idea of making social media my career.

End of 2021 Giveaway!

It's time for another giveaway! I have lots of fun beauty and lifestyle products waiting to be given to one of you. The prize includes items from LUSH, Bath & Body Works, Too Faced and even a little Stoney Clover Lane!

Nine years ago I decided to start a blog. I was going into my junior year of college, getting my feet wet with the idea of internships and becoming more involved in my sorority. I was looking for an outlet to showcase my writing, build a portfolio and start making my dreams come true.

Nine years later, life looks so different than what 20 year old Briana thought it would; I'm still living at home, I'm a social media manager for a major beauty brand, my dad passed away, I'm single, I've written for my dream publications, I lived through a global pandemic... life is just so weird. I've lost people in my life, gained people, been fired from a job, made major changes... it's just so weird how you can look back and everything in your life is different.

The one thing that has remained constant is this blog. Royally Pink was something I started after reading Carly The Prepster (back then, The College Prepster) and becoming obsessed with this online world. Back then, Carly influenced a lot of what I did: I focused a lot on my career, I started interning at a company she was working at, I started shopping at J.Crew... and I started a blog. I wanted so desperately to be a writer and this seemed to be a great gateway.

I started writing about beauty, fashion, career, books and nine years later, I'm still writing about all that stuff! I've partnered with brands I love, discovered a new work ethic of mine, and really thrived with having a 'hobby'. I can't imagine my life without this blog, without having something to work on when the workday ends and something to be truly fulfilled by. I love having a to-do list for the blog, working on new ideas and really making Royally Pink what I've always wanted it to be.

Royally Pink, in my head, has become a brand to me. I might not always treat it like a brand but as someone in the social media space as a professional, really into the influencer marketing world, I like to think about RP as a lifestyle. It's girly, it's feminine, it's strong and powerful but also fun. The Royally Pink reader isn't afraid to talk about weight loss, mental health, grief but she also loves a product review. Royally Pink is light, yet serious and obviously loves pink!

Pink has always been my favorite color and I've always had a special connection to it so naming the blog that made sense. When you add in the 'Royally' aspect, that comes from where I was in 2012, obsessed with the Royal Family and I liked how it fit together. Now, I can't get enough of my brand name and feel like it really fits me, now more than ever... just a little fun history for ya!

Over the years, I've stuck with the blog, and never really got the itch to quit. I love having a space I can be myself, write about what interests me, and kind of be the editor in chief of my own little magazine. I love sharing my favorite products, writing about mental health and wellness, and just having something to do.

My dreams for Royally Pink have always been to have it be a business, but at the core, always share my favorite items and be authentically myself. I want to do more with it; I want to do more brand partnerships, sponsored posts, more giveaways, more creative content on Tiktok and Instagram. I have all these lofty goals and one thing I struggle with is making them happen, actioning and getting off my butt to make shit move. It's one of my goals for the next year, to put my head down and work because I know I can do it.

To celebrate the nine year anniversary, I wanted to do another beauty giveaway! This one is filled with products from Tone It Up, Botanics, Hanskin and other beauty & lifestyle brands -- just enter through the widget below.

All in all, I just want to say thank you for reading for the past nine years. I can't believe I'm still doing this, I can't believe next year is a decade of blogging. It's been such a joy, such an honor, and really just so much fun. I love you all!

It has been quite a year. I know it wasn't the year any of us imagine... who could've imagined a global pandemic? Sure we probably saw some of it coming, like the political tensions but to have experienced every other trauma we have, both personal & worldly was just unprecedented.

I've gone through my own stuff that I've talked about over the past few months but sometimes it still hits me... all we have lost this year.

In the spirit of the season and because we could all use a little joy, I wanted to do a nice giveaway! I've rounded up some of my favorite items, like a Slip Silk pillowcase and eye mask, Good Patch patches, along with a few other self-care goodies to take you right into the new year!

Happy Thanksgiving | 2019

in , , , by RoyallyPink, 8:00 AM
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it's lowkey; it's about food, family, and hanging out. There's not really any capitalism around Thanksgiving; no shopping, movies, crazy decor... it's simple and beautiful.

I also really love Thanksgiving because it's the end of the Fall season, the beginning of Christmas, and usually falls around my birthday. This time of year is so special to me for so many reasons.

As always, I am very thankful for all of you! It's been almost 8 years of the blog and I continue to love it, day in and day out. It has grown so much in the past few years and I appreciate everyone who reads and follows me. It means the world!

I'm also very thankful for my job. I got fired from my new job in April and spend 6 months unemployed. It taught me a lot, made me stronger, and made me realize I'm not ready to give up a 9-5 anytime soon. I am so thankful for the lessons I learned but even more thankful that I found a job and company that I adore and love going to every day. It's a blessing in so many ways.

In honor of the season of giving, I wanted to give something to all of you! I'm going to be giving away a few bundles of beauty & lifestyle items that I've been collecting over the past few months. Enter below and I'll choose two random winners! Here is a preview of a few things that will be included.

Come back later for a lot of Black Friday coverage!

Have a wonderful day with your loved ones!

Today is my birthday so Happy Birthday to me! I'm 26 years old, closer to 30 than I am to 20 and that is a scary, horrible thought. My twenties have not been what I expected but 25 was better than most years!

During the past 365 days, I feel like I accomplished a lot while finding myself and finding more happiness. I got a promotion, published more writing, hooked some pretty cool brand deals, started dating someone, became more of myself while being less apologetic for who I am, and started making a plan for my life, in some way.

The past 6 years have been weird; graduating college, coming to terms with my anxiety, losing my dad, struggling in my career, getting over someone I loved -- it's been rough but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I finally feel like I know who I am, my personal life is flourishing, my writing is coming together and I actually feel like an adult. It's all about the baby steps! There are still so many things I want to do in my twenties and hopefully, I can knock a few off the bucket list in the next year.

Getting older is scary but I'm trying to enjoy my life and not dwell on the past. The future is bright and I'm ready for it.

That's my birthday speech... the rest of the week was filled with anticipation for my birthday (because I'm still a 5-year-old) and a little bit of anxiety. That's normally how the week after Thanksgiving goes for everyone!

Today I'll be celebrating my birthday by doing some shopping, buying some Christmas gifts, treating myself to Wendy's and then having my family over for dinner and cake tonight!

On a different note, I've gotten a lot of PR over the past few months and I've been stockpiling it for a giveaway. I figured what better way to celebrate my birthday than with a giveaway to all of YOU?!

I have two beauty prize packs up for grabs and you can enter to win below! You can enter to win one or both!

So if you saw my Book Review Wednesday this week, you would've saw that I reviewed the new Betches book, "When's Happy Hour" which is all about careers! It is one of my favorite career books I've ever read and I'm literally going to reference it for years to come.

I was so happy to receive a pre-release copy from the publisher, Gallery Books, and they were gracious enough to send me an additional two copies to give away to YOU!

Enter below for a chance to win -- the giveaway ends next week, October 27th!

Technology is everything to me. It's my career, my hobby, and the way I communicate with my friends, family, and the entire world. It's how I get my news, how I create, and how I interact. It's very important to me and has been for years.

I talked about this last week in my Favorite Tech Accessories post, about how I adore technology and ever have since I was a child. I'm so lucky to have taken that passion and turned it into a career & side hustle. When I really sit down and think about it, it's a special thing.

I promise we're going somewhere with this...

When it comes to technology, I am constantly on my phone and iPad, which means that my battery dies very quickly. Sometime I need headphones and don't have them; whenever I'm looking for a flash drive, I never seem to have one.

This being said, I am constantly carrying around multiple chargers, so many pairs of headphones and any tech accessory I might need at the drop of a hat. That's why when I saw Pinch Provisions release a tech girl emergency kit I needed it badly.

Pinch Provisions is an adorable company that has made their mark on tiny, adorable emergency kits for everyone and anyone. I'm 99% sure you've seen them online, at Sephora/Nordstrom, and even in little boutiques. The standard emergency kit is filled with hair ties, aspirin, lip balm, band aids and everything else you could possibly think of.

I bought one of these for my friend for Christmas and she loved it -- it's a perfect gift idea for ANYONE.

Since it's inception, Pinch Provisions has come out with a slew of other kits; they have kits for dogs, men, bridesmaids, fitness fanatics, and everything in between.

That brings me to the point of this post.

Pinch Provisions released a Screen Queens kit that has EVERYTHING a tech addict could need in a pinch (get it? PINCH provisions?!)

When they released this kit, it was sold out EVERYWHERE and you literally couldn't get your hands on it. The moment I saw it in stock on Nordstrom.com, I jumped at the chance.

It's the perfect size and everything fits so neatly inside. It comes with:

  • A wall charger
  • USB wire with 3 different types of chargers
  • A pair of headphones
  • A flashdrive
  • Camera lens
  • Password Keeper
  • Microfiber cloth for cleansing
  • Cord wrapper
  • Phone/tablet stand
  • Earbud wrapper
I've been using it for the past few weeks and it's such a pleasure. Everything is one neat little kit and I can easily transfer it from bag to bag without forgetting anything. I always would forget my charging cable or headphones when I was switching bags and then I'd suffer. This way, everything is together and I never forget anything.

I have this kit & the fitness kit, but I need so much more

Here's a little surprise for you; I have an extra Screen Queens kit that I want to give to one of you! Enter below for your chance to win :)

Weekly Wrap Up

in , , , by RoyallyPink, 7:00 AM
This was a long week... a trip to New Jersey, a trip up to my alma mater death in the family, a funeral, a hectic work week, and a mental break down here or there, and I'm happy it's Friday.

Last weekend I was away from home, and the next 3 weekends I'm busy so this is my last free weekend for a while, and I'm looking forward to staying in, going to the gym, and relaxing.

It's supposed to rain and be gloomy, and it sounds like a great pre-Halloween weekend to curl up with books, Hocus Pocus, tea, and fall candles.

Credit

Well, enough of my pipe dreams for the weekend (I'm a real exciting 23 year old, I know)... I don't have much else to say so I'll get right to what I loved this week:

What you missed this week on Royally Pink:
Make sure to enter my giveaway for a copy of Lisa Sugar's new book "Power Your Happy, and sign up for the newsletter, and subscribe to the podcast.

Have a great weekend everyone!
I've been really enjoying the POPSUGAR Must Have Boxes, if you couldn't tell. I mean, I've been talking about them for months now. POPSUGAR has been nice enough to send me them in exchange for review on the blog, and I've been more than grateful.

It's really nice to get this little box of goodness, that has a theme and great full size products, every month. I've been a subscription box lover for years now and it's so cool to get a present to yourself, from yourself, every month.

The boxes are filled with full size products, everything from food to beauty to lifestyle and fashion. They're things that you wouldn't normally buy yourself, but are always good to have. Some are really useful, some are just fun, and some are pointless but either way, the value of the boxes compared to the price is 100% worth it.

That's why, when I saw the first sneak peek of the October Must Have, a Henri Bendel umbrella, I immediately subscribed for the October Box. I needed this umbrella. I always buy cheap umbrellas that break as soon as it starts raining, but also I've been obsessed with Henri Bendel lately (more on that later), so everything else is just an added bonus.

I obsessively checked for spoilers of the October box because I can't stand not knowing what I'm getting so when I finally did see spoilers, I was super excited.

The October Box is a good one!

Henri Bendel Umbrella
Morning Culture Mug
The Makeup Eraser Mini
Revlon Eyeliner
Lisa Sugar's new book "Power Your Happy"
Lalicious Brown Sugar Vanilla Shower Oil and Bubble Bath
My Cup of Cocoa Dark Drinking Chocolate

I think I was most excited for.... well everything. Obviously the umbrella but everything else goes perfectly with the theme: cozy, ready for fall, and sweet. I've already used the mug (using it for my morning coffee as I write this), and I bet the hot chocolate tastes so sweet & great for a cool, fall night.

The shower oil smells like a vanilla candle but doesn't leave too harsh of a scent behind, and even though the Makeup Eraser is a mini (I have the large one), this is great for travel.

The total value of the box is $119, but that doesn't include the eyeliner & book, because those were thrown in as "extras". With those two items, the value kicks up to $153. How awesome is that?

This box was well worth $39.99 and I already can't wait for the November box! If you want to try it, take $5 off your first box with code MUSTHAVE5.

Now onto the better stuff... if you read the title you saw that there is a giveaway going on in this post. I went to a POPSUGAR book release party last month for Lisa Sugar's Power Your Happy, so I already have the book. I knew when I subscribed to this box that I was going to get a 2nd copy, and instead of having it collect dust on my shelf, I thought I'd give it away to one of my readers!

I'm in the middle of the book and it's really great. It's well written, there are great illustrations throughout the book, and it's just the perfect "self help/guidance" book that I know a lot of you enjoy.

This was an extremely fast week and I have another 3 day weekend on my hands -- summer fridays are THE BEST.

I have a few things on the agenda: a keratin hair treatment, a trip to the new NYX store near my house, and a Sephora VIB event. They are all beauty related, and all very exciting. I'm also going to be grabbing dinner with my friends tonight and I'm super excited.

All in all, a traditional Briana weekend.

This is how I started the week off...#blessed

If you missed it this week, I'm celebrating FOUR years of Royally Pink and honoring that with a huge beauty & skincare giveaway. You can enter here.

Also, if you're looking for some new jewelry, Chloe + Isabel launched their new summer collection last week and it's so colorful and perfect for summer. I'm excited! Shop here!

Now for the links I was LOVING:

What did you love this week?

I can't believe this week is 4 years since I started Royally Pink and I can't believe how fast time flies. I was going into my junior year of college and felt like I needed something extra to do. I knew I was going to be busy with my sorority, my education, my activities in school, and an internship but I felt that this blog would be beneficial to my future.

And it has been... in so many ways.

It's expanded my writing, expanded my horizons in terms of what I like to write about, and has helped my career. I got my first "real" internship from using my blog, which introduced me to my mentor, who got me my first job out of college.

It's funny how things turn out, isn't it?

This blog has made me realize what I love... beauty, writing, giving people advice. It's made me realize I'd be very happy being a freelance writer/blogger and that ultimately, that is my goal.

I am so beyond grateful for my readers, my friends who make fun of me for being 'on the blog' but ultimately support me 100%.

Royally Pink started out as something fun to do on the side, to help my career, but it's been the one constant for the past 4 years. It's been with me throughout my last years at college, graduation, my first horrible year of post grad, and some of the toughest & happiest times of my life.

None of this would be possible without people who read, subscribe, and comment along the way. I may not be the biggest blogger but I'm very grateful that I've come this far.

I have a long way to go but it's been an exciting journey so far, and I hope to continue forever.

To celebrate YOU and Royally Pink, I want to give away some of my favorite things: BEAUTY PRODUCTS. I've been hoarding both bags of skincare, haircare, and makeup for months and just filling them up as I went.

Feel free to join BOTH giveaways or just one.

Thank you everyone! Royally Pink would NOT be possible without you. Cheers to another four years :)

I promised on Wednesday that this post would be up but it's just been one of those weeks. My mom is away on a cruise, the snowstorm is still getting to me, and work has been very busy (in a good way). I've been exhausted and last night I was SO SICK. It was horrific.

Okay, enough of my complaining.. let us get into the entire point of this epic Friday post. I've been thinking of doing a giveaway for a while. I have a lot of stuff that I love but have extras of or don't really use. I've been sent products that I just have too much of and I wanted to do something extra special on the blog.

It's been a while since my last giveaway and all my giveaways have been with companies -- I wanted to do one on my own!

The giveaway is mostly of beauty product (ok, all beauty products) and I'm so excited. I put together this goodie box last night and it just made me so happy!

It includes:

  • Pur Cosmetics HydraFluid WaterSerum Foundation in Medium(if you need the shade dark or deep, I have those as well!)
  • Pur Cosmetics Cameo Contour in Medium (if you need darker shades, I have those as well)
  • Mac Lipstick in Fresh Brew
  • 2 Julep Nail Polishes
  • Wet & Wild Comfort Zone Eyeshadow Palette
  • Kat Von D Lolita Duo (Deluxe samples of Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lolita and Lolita 2)
  • ELF Blush Palette in shade dark (gorgeous colors for all skin tones)
  • Makeup Forever Mini Lipstick in Natural
  • Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Body Lotion
  • Vita Liberata Luxury Tan (OMG THE BEST TANNER EVER)
  • 2 Borghese Masks
  • Sephora makeup bag (filled with some extra fun goodies!)
Okay, how does that sound?

Enter the Rafflecopter below -- it'll run for 1 week and I'll contact the winner next Friday :)

If you guys like giveaways like this, let me know! If you like it more not coming from a company and from me, I could definitely do more!

Alright, enough giveaway talk, lets get into links:

Happy weekend everyone!

I am swimming in a sea of planners and I couldn't be happier. I've talked about my love of planners a lot on the blog, especially in the past few weeks, and I'm not stopping now!

There is just something I've always loved about planners, it's one of the most Type A things about me. I love writing things down, I love being organized, and I love making to do lists. I like to be able to look at my planner and know exactly what's coming at me, and how I can approach each situation.

Crazy right?

I've also been a huge lover of "stuff." My mom would ask me (and still does) "Why do you just buy STUFF?!" I don't buy clothes, or accessories (I buy a lot of make-up clearly), but I buy STUFF. I'll buy notebooks, and fancy pens, and keychains, and just random little items like that. I love stuff, and planners & stationery has always been one of my top "stuff" items to buy.

We've already established that I can't wait to start using my ban.do planner, and that I was going to use the BlueSky planner for work, or get a Lilly Pulitzer agenda.

But, that all changed when I saw that Whitney English (creator of the Day Designer) was coming to Target. UH........

HELLO THIS IS HUGE!

The Day Designers are hard to get your hands on, and they are a pretty penny ($50 if I remember correctly). I had a Day Designer last year as that was the planner we received in our Smart Girls Group Conference goodie bag(side note, attendees got Erin Condren planners, the OG of the planner world and I'm jealous) and the Day Designer really was a Type A's dream.

Is it worth the $50 to me? Eh, probably not but that's just me!

That's why I was so excited to see that Whitney English was coming to Target...and it was released in stores YESTERDAY July 12th!

*You can also get these on the BlueSky website if you can't find them at your local target

One of the main components of a good planner is it has to be cute. Isn't that the reason I didn't like the Kate Spade planners? I need color and fun and life in a planner. It makes organizing and day to day tasks so much more fun. Not to mention, they look awesome in Instagram photos #basic.

Is that just me? Does anyone else need a pretty planner over everything?

Well, Whitney English is bringing her A game to Target.

I received three planners (to my surprise) in the mail and almost wept tears. The reason I was weeping was well, because the planners are beautiful, and because I now have too many planners to choose from.

Between my ban.do planner, the BlueSky planner, and these adorable Whitney English ones, I didn't know what to do.

I wound up falling head over heels for the large, cloth-bound Monthly & Weekly Planner and decided it was much more professional and a little neater than the other BlueSky planner. I already started using the BlueSky planner so I'll probably just keep that home as a all around calendar.

This planner is gorgeous. I've never had a cloth-bound planner before because I really do love spiral planners (The ban.do planner is hardbound so I guess we're going non-spiral this year!) and it feels so luxurious. It's nice and big, and has a similar layout to the original Day Designer with the 'to do' lists next to the weekly layouts.

I only got this planner last Wednesday and used it at work on Thursday & Friday and already love it. It's definitely smaller than the original Day Designer and will take some getting used too but it's really practical for work.

The other two planners I received are floral printed, smaller versions of the Day Designer, very practical for everyday. They're spiral bound and have a nice, plastic protective cover.

These planners have the same layout of the blue, cloth-bound planner which I think is the jist for the entire Whitney English for Target collection. They're small enough for your purse, school, or work bag,

The thing about the original Day Designer that I don't really like is that it's too big to carry around. I would've never used that planner for school because it was just too much.

With my three planners came a booklet of the entire Target collection and there are so many different and fun prints! They also seem to have the classic, original Day Designer in White & Black stripes (I think it's safe to say it has the same layout as these planners, otherwise it'd just be the regular Day Designer).

The prices are ON POINT! The clothbound planner is $13.99, while the "original looking" Day Designer is $14.99.

They have a horizontal planner *which seems awfully interesting and desk pad calendars. The collection also consists of a small cloth-bound planner, which I think is great. It's always good to have options for everyone!

The designs are too cute for words and I may have to make a trip to my local target just to get a glance in person.

Because I have too many planners and not enough use for them, I decided to do a little giveaway for all you lovely planner nerds out there!

I have two planners, so there will be two separate giveaways and winners: one for the Medium Sized agenda & one for the smaller one. Feel free to enter both Rafflecopters below. The giveaway will end in one week-- GOOD LUCK :)

Last year I hosted an awesome giveaway with a great company called Decor 2 Ur Door. The website is filled with lots of beautiful accessories, all that can be customized with your monogram, which is basically the best part of anything.

The shop is filled with gorgeous, feminine bedding, and you can even design your own which is perfect if you're decorating your dorm or apartment. I think my favorite thing is Customize Your Own Headboard... how cool would that be?

They have everything from bedding sets to throw pillows to curtains... everything you could ever want to decorate a bedroom in your personal style.

Something that I discovered when I went away to college were wall decals. Everyone had one in their dorm or apartment, I even have one on my wall at home of a lovely little quote.

A wall decal that I've been lusting after and really regret not getting while I lived in my own apartment at school is a monogram decal.

Decor 2 Ur Door has so many monogram wall decals, everything from traditional monograms to one initial, to your full name.

Because my last giveaway was so successful, Decor 2 Ur Door and I have teamed up for another giveaway to give one lucky reader the chance to pick the monogram wall decal of their choice! Any style, any color--it's all up to you!

Add a little personalization to your bedroom, whether you live in a dorm with roommates, in an apartment by yourself, or even with your parents! The possibilities are endless :)

Enter through the rafflecopter below! The giveaway will last one week. Good luck!

Whew, first week of February down and it honestly hasn't been that bad! Hahaha! I am definitely feeling good emotionally but physically, it's not fun. I'm headed to the doctors today to get my throat checked out because I'm pretty sure I have strep. Doesn't that sound fun?

My sorority had recruitment this week and it just broke my heart over and over again. It's weeks like these that I miss college and all my friends. #PostGrad

Be sure to enter my giveaway to win a monogrammed crewneck sweatshirt from Gone Greek! They were kind enough to send me my own and I'm obsessed—it's so comfortable!

Aside from that, there's not much going on so let's dive into my favorite links of the week!

These are the qualities (or flaws) your perfect woman should have.

I still haven't gotten around to reading #GIRLBOSS but this review made me want to read it right now!

A restaurant serving only breakfast sandwiches is about to pop up in NYC. Give me all the BECs!

You can bet on the fact that I will be making all these cauliflower recipes this weekend.

I have never ever wanted to own my own house more than after seeing all these awesome "home hacks".

I'm not ashamed to say I've purchased everything on this list at Target.

This profile on Lexi, from Glitter Inc. is perfect!

Have a great weekend everyone :)
