The final month of the year is coming to a close and it has me feeling some type of way. It was a crazy year and pretty evenly split amongst good and bad. I spent most of the year unhappy at a job and then unemployed, which taught me a lot about myself and where I want my career to go. Then, the good part was that I found a new job I love so much, grew my relationship with my boyfriend and had a lot of good memories with my friends.

It wasn't what I expected from the year but it was interesting, to say the least.

December was pretty great though; lots of activities, Christmas fun, and so much shopping. That being said, I had a decent amount of favorites going into the month and wanted to make sure I shared them before my 2019 wrap-ups in the coming days.

Project 62 Nate Berkus Comforter

Nate Berkus Target Comforter

I have been in the market for a new comforter for some time now and have been slowly looking to see if something caught my eye. I had my old comforter since I moved into this house, about three years ago and it was just time for a new one. My mom was also looking for one and we both stumbled upon this Nate Berkus one from Target. I knew that when I was ready, this would be the comforter I purchased. Low and behold, it was on sale for Black Friday and I didn't even think twice about purchasing it. Spoiler alert: I have been loving it! It's a micro-texture, plush, white comforter that is super cozy and warm but not overpowering. I love the fact that it looks like a hotel comforter because it's very smooth yet still very comfortable. It makes my entire room look very neat and tidy which I love. It's also not a super expensive comforter but feels like one, so it's a great solution if you're in need of something new for your bed!

Sleeping Beauty Vanity Mirror

sleeping beauty vanity mirror-december 2019 favorites

I talked about this on Instagram, my Black Friday post and my Gift Guide for the Disney Nerd but Besame Cosmetics sent me some of their Sleeping Beauty collection, including the Vanity Mirror. The minute I saw this collection released a few months ago I knew I needed the mirror. Sleeping Beauty is my favorite princess movie and this mirror is right up my alley. It's luxurious, feminine and just feels like it was meant for me. I have loved having this displayed in my beauty area but also using it to apply makeup and getting up close and personal with my skin. If you love Disney and beauty, this is a collab you would love!

Holly Nichols x Caseify Phone Case

Holly Nichols Caseify Phone Case

I've been obsessed with fashion illustrators for a long time and when I discovered this holiday phone case from one of my favorites, Holly Nichols, I knew I needed it. My sister actually gifted it to me for my birthday at the end of November and I have not changed it out at all. It is officially my go-to holiday case and I'm considering keeping it on all winter long. It's so beautifully made and sturdy so your phone is protected. I'm a big phone case fan and I honestly think I will exclusively be purchasing fashion illustrated cases from Caseify from now on.

What were your favorites of the month?

Last year I hosted an awesome giveaway with a great company called Decor 2 Ur Door. The website is filled with lots of beautiful accessories, all that can be customized with your monogram, which is basically the best part of anything.

The shop is filled with gorgeous, feminine bedding, and you can even design your own which is perfect if you're decorating your dorm or apartment. I think my favorite thing is Customize Your Own Headboard... how cool would that be?

They have everything from bedding sets to throw pillows to curtains... everything you could ever want to decorate a bedroom in your personal style.

Something that I discovered when I went away to college were wall decals. Everyone had one in their dorm or apartment, I even have one on my wall at home of a lovely little quote.

A wall decal that I've been lusting after and really regret not getting while I lived in my own apartment at school is a monogram decal.

Decor 2 Ur Door has so many monogram wall decals, everything from traditional monograms to one initial, to your full name.

Because my last giveaway was so successful, Decor 2 Ur Door and I have teamed up for another giveaway to give one lucky reader the chance to pick the monogram wall decal of their choice! Any style, any color--it's all up to you!

Add a little personalization to your bedroom, whether you live in a dorm with roommates, in an apartment by yourself, or even with your parents! The possibilities are endless :)

Enter through the rafflecopter below! The giveaway will last one week. Good luck!

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Megan about her company Decor 2 UR Door, a dorm bedding website that sells gorgeous bedding, decor and accessories for college aged girls. I was immediately intrigued because you know I love anything along these decorative lines.

I was first taken with the website. It's just so pretty! It's also extremely organized and so inviting to the consumer. Decor 2 UR Door has something a lot of other websites like it doesn't; the ability to refine and advance your search by color and print. It makes searching for your perfect bedding even easier.

All the products are so stylish and perfect for the college girl, whether you're a freshmen or a senior. There is something for everyone, which I love.

There are so many different products on Decor 2 UR Door it can borderline be overwhelming. The variations of the designs and the actual products are awesome. You can pick and choose exactly what you want.

My favorites have to be the "Bed in a Bag" because you get everything you need for your dorm room; a duvet cover, a sham, and two pillows.

They also have some crazy accessories such as Monogrammed wall art decals and chair covers(which I think have to be my favorite).

If you don't find exactly what you're looking for on Decor 2 UR Door, you can create your own; they give you the ability to design everything from the duvet cover to a headboard

If you're moving into your first college dorm room, getting a house off campus or just have the desire to redecorate your room at home, check out Decor 2 UR Door. They have pretty much everything and anything you can imagine.

The best part about Decor 2 UR Door? They have MONOGRAMS! Another great thing about Decor 2 UR Door? One lucky Royally Pink reader is going to have a chance to win their very own monogrammed pillow! Just enter the Rafflecopter below :)

Good luck!

Even though summer just started, there are millions of teenagers across the country that are mentally, physically, and emotionally preparing to take a giant leap and start a new chapter in their life. Those kids are getting ready to head off to their freshmen year of college.

If you're like me, you'll be going away to college and living in a dorm; living on your own for the first time in your life.

It's a scary thought and it definitely is a completely different living situation. Aside from the emotional preparation, there is a lot of physical preparation that goes into heading off to live the dorm room life.

Don't worry though, you'll be fine. There are so many resources at your disposal to get everything you need.

The biggest part of moving out of your house and into a dorm room is the difference in space and the fact that you'll be living with strangers. Learning to deal with their living habits and keeping the peace is the biggest stretch but once you have your own space in that little dorm, things will work out.

Residence Hall Linens has everything you'll need in your dorm room from XL twin bedding to storage units you could fit in the tiniest of spaces.

At relatively low prices, RHL makes buying everything you need for college living a lot easier. On a student's budget, every cent counts and RHL makes sure of that.

The essentials are simple: bedding, towels, pillows, hampers, storage bins, and maybe a mini fridge along with a television.

There will always be a few things that you forget that's why Residence Hall Linens has great value packs so nothing is left behind. There is the The Complete Campus Collection that has every bedding and towel you could think of, along with a hamper and bedside buddy. The Student Starter Pack comes with the same items, just a lesser number, than the Complete Campus but still, everything you need is right there.

Buying these packs instead of buying individual items will save you money and it'll be great because everything will match. Determining a color amongst your items will help in distinguishing your stuff from your roommates.

Aside from the living essentials that you'll need, RHL has some great decor items to make your space feel more like home. It'll be nice to decorate your dorm with pictures, pillows, and rugs that fit your personality.

One of my favorite things to decorate with are wall canvases and posters. They are the perfect thing to add a bit of yourself into your dorm.

Here are two of my favorite pillows from them:

Once you're all decorated and your bed is made, storage is going to become a problem. I recommend using rubbermaid bins and under bed storage to make life easier. Storing summer clothes in the winter and vice versa under your bed will make more room in your closet. Making use of a hanging shoe organizer will also be helpful. Good thing RHL has everything you need for storage also!

The first year is going to be tough but after the first year, you will become a pro at moving in and storing all your belongings.

College is scary, I won't lie but it is an incredible experience that will shape you and make you a better person. By the time senior year comes around, you'll be wanting to handcuff yourself to your bed in order not to leave.

Happy shopping, freshmen!
