March was a very slow month and I'm very glad about that. There was a lot of snowstorms, a lot of rain, and not much very Spring.

However, today, the day before Easter Sunday the sun is shining and I wore a jean jacket for the 1st time this season and I was thrilled.

I hate Spring, I hate Summer and I hate everything from April-August but my goodness, nothing beats the first jean jacket day and especially when you see the Ice Cream Man out for the first time (I didn't get any ice cream but it still brought a smile to my face)

For as much as I don't care for this season, I still had a few favorites this month!

1. Real Books: I always have to have one random favorite and real, tangible books are it this month. I wanted to get back into reading because I just caught the bug but my Kindle app and Nook were not cutting it. I bought a few books from Amazon, and then signed up for Book of the Month and I've been reading multiple books all month long. I took a break from audiobooks to catch up on podcasts and Barstool Radio, and I've just really enjoyed the feeling of real pages in my hand.

2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette: I've only had two other ABH palettes in my collection and they have been used to pieces. I've been putting off getting the Modern Reinsassance palette for years and was going to pull the trigger until I saw the Soft Glam. I ordered it the moment it was available on the ABH website (that's how you know I'm excited for a product, I order it from the brand's website). I havne't been wearing a ton of eyeshadow lately but I'm addicted to this palette. It's so soft, buttery, and easy to blend. The colors are super wearable with a few bits of color to make it unique. If you haven't tried ABH shadows, I highly recommend them. They are some of my favorites on the market.

3. HUM Nutrition Big Chill: I talked about HUM in a post earlier this month but I just wanted to mention it again. I've always loved Beauty zZzz's but Big Chill has really been saving my ass this month. As I've previously mentioned, I've been suffering from panic attacks and sometimes my beloved Nerve Tonic hasn't been helping. Big Chill is there when Nerve Tonic fails, but aside from anxiety, Big Chill has been helping my stress levels. When I'm feeling overwhelmed by work and my side hustles, this helps. HUM is perfection in my book.

4. Laura Geller Nude Kisses Lip Hugging Lipgloss: These were just released last week but seeing as I work for the company, I've had them a little longer than that. I HATE lipglosses but my goodness, these have changed my world. There are 16 nude colors so something for everyone but mostly, I love the formula. They're super creamy and feel balmy on the lips without being sticky or tacking. They aren't long lasting as they are a gloss but they are the best gloss I've ever tried.

Below are a few other honorable mentions that I tried this month but not enough to include them wholly in the post:

Whenever the cold weather hits, I immediately reach for all my dark lipsticks. There is just something about the cold weather, the holiday season, and the chill in the air that makes me want to wear a vampy lip -- even more so than the fall.

Just give me all the plums, purples, reds, berries!

I think I speak for most people when I say that the holiday season especially brings out these feelings and when you're out and about at holiday parties and gatherings, you want to have your best lip on.

I know this kind of goes against a lot of beliefs but I love matte liquid lipsticks more in the winter than any other season. I say it goes against a lot because your lips are usually very dry and chapped in the winter so the last thing you want to do is put a drying, matte formula on your lips.

However, I think matte lips are so chic, sophisticated and classic winter. I definitely get the most use out of my liquid lipsticks in this chilly season.

I won't ramble too much longer but I wanted to break down my favorite vampy lip colors and formulas that will work for just about anyone this holiday season.

I've included (in this widget) a lot of Laura Geller lipsticks; from our Love Me Mattes which has a great shade called Coffee Craving to the Fifty Kisses Liquid Lipsticks in Makeout Merlot and our Iconic Baked in Broadway Plum (one of my oldest favorites).

I also have been really enjoying the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Rock Steady; it's a gorgeous red/berry shade that really screams holiday to me.

Below, you'll find a few other lipsticks that may not be available right now so I've included some dupes.

Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Pomegranate (similar)
Marc Jacobs Le Marc in Bad Behavior (similar)

I also LOVE the Winky Lux x Betches 'Crazy Pill' lipstick -- it's a very dark plum, that almost looks black and it's stunning.

I have to say one thing: the Kylie Cosmetics 'Twenty' lip kit is probably my favorite lip color of all time. It's deep enough that it feels 'fancy' but light enough that it's casual for every day. The formula is one of the best Kylie's I've had in a while and it's just perfection. I have to stop myself from wearing it every single day.

What are your favorite vampy lip colors for the holiday season?

September seemed like an awfully long month and I'm happy about that -- I hate when months fly by and you feel like you accomplished nothing. I love when the months are long because I get to relish every day and of course, I want my favorite season and favorite months of the year to go by at a snail's pace.

September isn't my favorite month but it's the start of Fall and I have been enjoying all my Pumpkin Spice favorites all month long. I don't think I'll ever get sick of Fall or everything that comes with the season... it's just utterly perfect in my mind.

This September was an odd month. I was not in a great place; I was very depressed and anxious all the time and I'm not sure why that was. As of today, I'm feeling better but who knows what tomorrow will bring.

In October, I have so much going on and I'm really happy about that because I'll be super busy and it'll be filled with fun.

I feel like I did a lot of shopping this month but don't really have anything to show for it... coming up with these favorites were actually hard and they are a bit random, so just warning ya!

1. The POPSUGAR App: See, random! POPSUGAR has always been one of my favorite websites and one of the few websites that I have and actually use their app. All month long I've been obsessed with reading everything on their website and my favorite thing to do is to lay in bed on a weekend morning and read everything in the app on my iPad. All the writers are so talented and I just love to absorb everything on the site!

2. iPhone stand: This may count as cheating because I've only had it for the last 2 weeks of the month but I'm obsessed. I got the idea from Jackie O Problems on her morning show 'The Morning Breath' and immediately ordered one from Amazon. It's a little metal stand that holds your iPhone or tablet (I'm currently watching Stranger Things on my iPad that is still on the stand) and it's so handy. I feel more professional (if that even makes sense) because I feel like I have two screens. It's nice to have your iPhone or tablet level with you instead of always on the desk and you have to look down at it. I highly suggest getting one!

3. Kate Spade Kane Cardholder: I ordered this new cardholder this month and I'm obsessed! The scallop detailing with the black and beige coloring screams fall to me and I cannot get enough. It also feels a little heavier than my other Kate Spade cardholder and a little more durable... it's amazing!

4.  Kate Spade Olive Drive Bridgette: I want to do a dedicated post/video on this bag so I won't get too crazy in depth but I'm obsessed with this bag. It's the perfect fall bag and I love the bow detail on the front. I have the dusty pink color and it's so pretty. I have hardly used another bag since getting this at the end of August and whenever I don't use it, I get very sad. I haven't loved a bag like this in a while!

5. Anastasia Matte Lipstick: When I heard Anastasia was coming out with regular lipsticks I kept a close eye on Sephora.com for when they would be released. When they finally were, I chose the shade 'Latte' and I wore it for the first time this month. These look like liquid lipsticks when applied on the lips but feel like a regular matte lipstick. The color latte screams fall because it's the perfect brown shade and I know I will be wearing this constantly this season!

What did you love this month?

In replacement on the weekly wrap up post, I'll be *trying* to add a regular post weekly. This was originally on my calendar for yesterday but Wednesday kicked my butt so no post Thursday... and here we are! I think a little behind the scenes is always good; blogging is not glamorous, ladies and gentlemen!

*PS: I talked last week about how I wanted to move weekly wrap up to email only content so sign up for my email newsletter here.

Just as I talked this week about fragrances, something I never talked about in 5 years, I rarely have talked about makeup brushes.

They say if you don't have good skin even the most expensive makeup won't look good on your face; the same goes with brushes. You could be using all Charlotte Tilbury & Tom Ford makeup but if you're using the wrong or really crappy brushes, it won't apply as well. You can do magic with makeup brushes, I've seen it happen.

Over the years I've accumulated a nice amount of brushes, two candle holders filled, to be exact, and I love most of them. I do have my favorites, as I'm sure we all do; I have my go-to brushes that I simply cannot live without.

1. PUR Cosmetics Skin Perfecting Foundation Brush: Ever since I've seen the Artis brushes come to play I wanted one. I bought a cheapy knock off from Amazon and it was garbage. I almost pulled the trigger on an Artis brush more than once but then I saw one of my favorite brands, PUR, release a similar looking foundation brush. It has the same shape and even feels the same (I've touched Artis). This brush is super densely packed and really smooths out your foundation. My foundation glides on my skin when I use this and it gets the job down fast. I HIGHLY recommend this, especially if you don't like foundation brushes. I religiously use a beautyblender but this changes the game.

2.  Morphe E8: I love this brush so much I bought two! Jaclyn Hill said this is one of her favorite brushes so when I heard that, I ran to the Morphe website to purchase one. I use it solely for concealer and it's basically replaced my beautyblender in that retrospect. It's soft, blends perfectly, and is the best concealer brush out there.

3. ELF Small Stipple Brush: ELF has some of the best brushes on the market and I have a few of them in my collection. This is by far my favorite for blending out cream products. I've gone through two of them and another one just appeared in my collection -- it's very nice to have it back. It's small enough to not blend the cream product all over your face, and is really soft on the skin. Go get it, it's only $6!

4. Too Faced Mr Right: This brush was released last year and I knew I needed it because it was so cute and I've never had a Too Faced brush. This has become my go-to for powdering my face whether it's with a loose or pressed powder. It's big enough to add a fluffy, airbrushed look to the skin but not so big that you feel like you aren't adding any product to your face. It's a little pricey but it's SO GOOD.

5. Anastasia #23 Brush: This was originally released when Anastiasa Beverly Hills released her glow kits and I was really drawn to it. I felt like this brush was a unique shape and size; the slim dome shape and soft bristles make it ideal for applying highlight. It's basically the only brush I use to apply my highlight and I love it! *This does have some shedding but it doesn't bother me that much.

Below are some of my other favorite brushes but the ones above are my top 5!

We've discussed books, accessories, and now we are onto beauty. Beauty is my number one love, and I think 2016 was the year that beauty really exploded; 2014 & 2015 were warm ups and this year, the beauty industry took it's rightful place as a booming industry.

Working in the industry is very exciting because everything is changing and evolving in the best ways possible. Youtube, social media, and beauty influencers have changed the game greatly and brands are giving into that. They are developing products more on par with trends, and collaborations with influencers aren't going anywhere.

This was the year that I reigned in my beauty buying a bit, and discovered the art of returning and selling unnecessary things. Because of this, I was able to discover what I really liked and what worked for me.

beauty favorites-2016-anastasia-tarte-kylie

In no particular order...

  • Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit: If this wasn't the year of Kylie Cosmetics, what will be? Myself, and the rest of the world, became addicted to scoring lip kits & other Kylie products when they were released, but then she got down a formula to have the site regularly stocked. I have 8 lip kits and I wrote a Brand Buzz here, but I still need to get my hands on the eyeshadow palettes!
  • Anastasia Master Palette by Mario: I tried to not purchase a lot of eyeshadow palettes this year (that's my general rule of thumb) but this was the palette I was most excited for this year. My beauty in review post is here, but the palette is super pigmented, versatile, and I love it.
  • Tarte Shape Tape Concealer: One of the most talked about concealers this year and with good reason. It's blendable, full coverage, and doesn't settle into any lines or creases. Blending it with your finger, beauty blender, or brush will give you awesome results. It's the only concealer I've been reaching for in recent months.

I've cut back on beauty buying lately. My shopping has decreased significantly but I just don't feel the need to shop for beauty items as much as I did a few months ago.

I haven't stopped completely; there will always be items that come out that catch my eye, that I need to have, and that I count down the days till they are released.

The Master Palette by Mario from Anastasia Beverly Hills was one of those items. When I found out months ago on Instagram that Mario was releasing a palette, I knew I'd need it.

If you don't know, Mario is the Kardashian's makeup artist, mostly Kim's and he does beautiful work. He is truly an artist & one of the best in the business. When the best partners up with the best aka Anastasia (her shadows are heavenly, spoiler alert), you know you're going to get something good.

The packaging is the regular Anastasia packaging, cardboard with a pretty good mirror & an excellent brush. It does feel a lot sturdier than the Self Made palette which I purchased last year, which soon fell apart and I had to depot all the shadows. This is definitely more high quality!

This palette came with 14 shadows, all brand new & curated by Mario himself. The palette colors are GORGEOUS! They're all neutral (which are my favorite), with some gorgeous mattes and pretty shimmers. The pigment payment and blend-ability of all shadows are really superb.

Anastasia makes some of the best shadows out there, and even though I have some of her single shadows and purchased a palette, I think these are the best so far.

My favorite shades are NYC, Kim, Muse, and Paris -- they are very warm, but still have a pop of color. I'm obsessed.

(Also, who else isnt surprised he named a shade Kim, I mean, COME ON! I love it!)

Even though you get mostly warm neutrals, you have a few great matte, transition shades, a gorgeous highlight that can be used for the brow bone in "Hollywood", and Claudia & Bronx are muted pops of color.

All in all, this palette is a really great buy. It's has a moderately high price tag, but you are paying for the quality of the shadows and packaging. I really haven't reached for another palette for the past month, because it has a really good group of shades and you can make a slew of different looks.

Now, the problem is that this is limited edition; It's available RIGHT NOW on Ulta.com (check your local stores as well). It is however, listed as out of stock on Sephora and Macys, which could mean that it will be restocked, but if you can't get it at Ulta, try all your local stores (Sephora, Ulta, Macys, etc!)

I highly suggest/demand that you buy this palette before it's gone. If you don't like it, you can always return it but I DOUBT that you will NOT like it.
I'm always on board for a good beauty trend; bold brows, contouring, strobing -- I love them all.

One trend I really have fallen head over heels for is matte lips. I blame Kylie Jenner but Ms. Jenner really knew what was she doing. I love the look of matte lips -- they're so glamorous and really make you look like you spent 4 hours on your makeup, when you only spent 10 minutes.

I feel a lot fancier when I have a matte lip on.

A trend that goes hand in hand with matte lips is liquid lipsticks. A liquid lipstick applies like a lipgloss and comes in a lipgloss tube with a lipgloss applicator, but it is far from a lipgloss. Some liquid lipsticks have a mousse texture while some have a more liquidly texture but neither one (in my opinion) is better than the other.

The fabulous thing about liquid lipsticks and what entices most people? Liquid lipsticks are supposed to be long lasting! Most formulas I have tried, are in fact very long lasting which is such an added bonus in my book.

A downside of liquid lipsticks? They are extremely drying. Because they are such a super, high impact matte finish, they suck the life and hydration out of your lips.

There is a solution to this though -- make sure your lips are exfoliated and hydrated with your favorite lip balm.

Also, you must have a good liquid lipstick formula to have a true success. If the lipstick is too drying, then it'll be a total fail.

Well, I've tried a number of liquid lipsticks and they are all very long lasting, not drying at all, and give beautiful pigmentation!

To me, all of these formulas are very similar. I think the longest lasting was the Kylie Lip Kit. It lasted through a night of dancing and drinking at a sweaty Manhattan bar.

As you can also see, the colors are a little similar with the exception being the theBalm shade "Loyal". The shade by Stila is a VIB exclusive so you can only purchase it if you are a Sephora VIB Rogue but a similar shade is Stila's Patina.

While Kylie's lipstick lasts the longest, I think the Ofra lipstick has the BEST FORMULA. This is the most comfortable lipstick out of the bunch -- it's incredible. You can find the Ofra lipstick in Americano (and all their other amazing shades here).

You can also shop some of the other lipsticks below!

There are a few other liquid lipsticks on my list to try -- and let me know if you want a more in depth review on any of these (mostly the Kylie LipKits because we all know how popular those are!).

Have you jumped on the liquid lipstick bandwagon yet?

I always get sad at the beginning of December because my favorite season is on its way out. I feel like once December 26th comes, I have nothing to look forward too. My birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are gone and it's one step closer to Spring. UGH

But November was a good month and I think it went at a decent speed. Thanksgiving was great and my birthday yesterday was really good, it felt like my birthday for the first time in a few years.

The one thing I failed at this month? No Buy November. I not only failed but I failed miserably. The Black Friday & Cyber Monday deals got to me and I just went insane. December will be different. It has to be. I am overwhelmed with my belongings and I'm starting to get nervous with my finances.

So No Buy December (aside from two more Christmas gifts) is going to be a thing. I am sticking to it this time.

November was good, December will be better. I'm ready for 2016 as well.

November was also filled with lots of amazing products and services that I couldn't stop using.

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Self Made Palette: I love that none of Anastasia's eyeshadow palettes are permanent and every few months we get a new one to lust over. I've been waiting for the right palette to splurge on, espeically because all of her palettes are under $40 and the moment I saw the Self Made Palette, I knew I needed it. I went to the Sephora near work the day after seeing it and grabbed the last one off the shelf. I was in an eyeshadow funk before buying this but this restored my faith in eyeshadow. I wear eyeshadow every day now and have really gotten comfortable doing different looks that are outside my comfort zone. The shadows are super pigmented, buttery, soft and smooth. If the colors are colors I like, I will for sure be buying her palettes in the future!

2. Lilly Pulitizer Agenda: I spoke about this earlier in the month and I traded in my ban.do planner for my beloved Lilly one. Since getting my planner, I've felt totally more like myself. I plan accordingly, I get a lot more work done, and I just feel more organized. The print is so 'my print' and I've fallen totally back in love with Lilly Pulitzer.

3. Becca Champagne Glow Palette: Another palette, but how could I resist? I Instagrammed this palette when I got it in the mail and honestly, I haven't stopped using it. I was also in a little bit of a highlighter rut but this changed everything. I already knew I loved Champagne Pop by Jaclyn Hill but having Pearl & Blushed Copper is such a nice little package deal. I like to mix Champagne Pop & Pearl together (Pearl is the white highlight) and I use Blushed Copper as a sparkly blush; it adds the perfect amount of sheen and glimmer to your cheeks. This is also such a great travel palette! (The palette isn't available anymore but you can still get Champagne Pop here)

4. Poshmark: I talked about this handy little app two years ago but I just rediscovered it and I'm addicted. I love the thrill of selling items and getting paid for virtually doing nothing. I decided to start selling my old, unused items because I was feeling so cluttered. I now feel so much better knowing I'm slowly getting rid of stuff! I really need to look through my draws and closets to find some more things to sell but I'm doing good!

5. Mint: I won't go into too much detail since I did an entire post on this app this month but my goodness, it's changing the way I think about money... even though I did fail at No Buy November!

I'm sure there were other items I loved this month but these were by far my favorites!

What were your favorites this month? Happy December everyone!

I find myself browsing Sephora's website for new items pretty much at least once a day. On one of these benders, I found the latest Sephora Favorites collection -- a brow wardrobe.

Sephora is always coming out with these exclusive kits that feature deluxe & full size samples of products. They have one for eyeliner, perfume, and had one for lips but that is currently sold out.

When I saw one for brows, I was instantly intrigued.

I have been meaning to get my hands on a new brow product because I am seriously lacking in that product department.

The collection comes with 4 full size products, one deluxe sample, and two little bonus extras. It has a $40 price tag but the value is $102 -- that my friends is what you call a STEAL.

All of these products have a nice little price tag of $20+ so I think if you've ever wanted to try at least one of these, it's worth it. That was my justification--I've been meaning to try the Anastasia Brow Wiz for over a year because it is a cult classic.

The other products, the Brow Tech Gloss Stick from Smashbox & the Tattoo Brow from Kat Von D are definitely bonuses. I've already used & LOVE the Benefit High Brow (a brow highlighting product) so that is definitely nice to have a back up. I also have another mini deluxe sample of the Anastasia Brow Gel so having another one of those is nice too.

Throw in a pair of tweezers and a mini mirror and I'm all set!

All three brow products are definitely worth the money. They fill in and define the brows beautifully. I think my favorite is the Brow Wiz (no surprise there) because it's easiest to use and control. The Smashbox pencil was definitely a little waxier and sticker than the other two but that's fine, it helps hold the brows in place.

From top to bottom: Brow Wiz, Gloss Stick, Tattoo Brow, High Brow

The Kat Von D liner scares me only slightly because it's a felt tip pencil, similar to a liquid liner, so at first it seemed like it would be difficult to control but with a light hand, it's relatively easy to control & use. I actually really liked the finish it gave off; thick but not too overpowering.

As I said before, the Benefit High Brow is an intense pink highlight perfect for the brow bone. It makes your brows look sculpted, lifted, and super defined. It's definitely holy grail status for me.

I am obsessed with this collection and it's turned me onto the other Sephora favorite collections. I think they're a great value and perfect for beginners -- yes it's a little on the pricey side but if you like trying a bunch of different products to get a distinct look, these are great kits.

If you've been wanting to experiment with filling in your brows but are overwhelmed by the choices in the drugstore, Sephora, and Ulta, I would definitely recommend picking this up. The products are all similar because they're brow pencils but different enough that you could pick out your favorites.

Has anyone else tried these Sephora favorites collections? What brow products are your favorite?
When I heard that Birchbox was releasing Mad Men curated boxes for the big premiere of the next seven episodes, I knew I needed it.

I have developed a deep love for Mad Men when I watched the entire series for the first two weeks after graduation, back in May 2014. I love Don Draper, Betty is a bad bitch, and Joan is incredible. Being such a media junkie, I love the feel of the advertising agency and the 1960s add the perfect touch.

It's just an amazing series; if you haven't it yet, I suggest you do before the series ends in a few weeks.

With that, I knew I wanted to have the Mad Men April Birchbox, and then when I saw what was inside, I knew for sure I needed it. Birchbox featured two Mad Men boxes, one for New York and one for California, since towards the end of the series, some of it takes place in Cali.

I stalked my email for sample choice and clicked Mad Men New York box since that had, in my opinion, the best products.

I literally couldn't wait to open this box and dive into all the products. I think this is the first Birchbox in a while that I was excited for every single product. I've already incorporated every product into my routine and it's so exciting.

//Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel: I got this product in an Ipsy bag a few years ago, before I got more into blogging and Youtube vloggers, and I was in love. Ever since I went through my first tube, I wanted another one but I can't justify the price. I was so excited and then a little disappointed because I don't remember this brow gel being as tacky and crispy as it was this time around. It definitely held my brows in place all day but it felt like hairspray on my eyebrows and I didn't like it. I'll probably keep using it because I have it.

Sample size: 4/5
Full size: $22

//Beauty Protector Protect & Oil: This is a hair oil that protects against UV rays and heat. I've been wanting to try a heat protector forever since I am constantly putting heat on my hair. I haven't tried this yet but I am planning on using it tonight when I wash my hair. I love Beauty Protector as a brand so I know I won't be disappointed.

Sample size: 3/4
Full size: $25.95

//Cargo Swimmables Water Resistant Blush in Los Cabos: I once got a Cargo blush in a Birchbox but it came broken and they couldn't replace it. I was so disappointed but I knew I'd get a chance to try it eventually. I've been on a huge blush kick and I was super excited to try out this brand. I've heard great things about Cargo and this blush and it definitely lives up to the hype. It's such a soft texture, not too powdery, and it's the most beautiful peach color with gold sparkles. I wore it the other night and it just looked beautiful; I think it'll look even better with a tan!

Sample size: 5/5
Full size: $26

//Liz Earle Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion: I think I was most excited for this product and when I saw the size of the sample, I was even more excited. I'm all about eye creams and lotion and I was running out of mine so I needed a new one. This one is very liquidy and I usually use it in the morning; I pour it on a cotton pad and rub it around my eyes and on my eyelid. It claims to de-puff and refresh tired eyes and I honestly think it does work. I'm obsessed!

Sample size: 5/5
Full size: $25

//Whish Shave Cream in Blueberry: I've had a Whish Shaving Cream before and I got a body butter a few months back and I love it. I love the brand and the products and I will never say no to a shaving cream. I haven't used it yet but I know I love it!

Sample size: 3/5
Full size: $20

All in all, I was clearly happy with this Birchbox. I already can't wait for May!

What did you get in your Birchbox this month? Did you choose the curated box? What was your favorite product? Tell me in the comments!

Here we are with another beauty post. I have been accumulating so many products, it's becoming an issue and I don't have enough space to store it all. I need to figure something out soon but for now, I'm going to own up to my problem and share it with all of you.

I buy a makeup product at least once every two weeks... sometimes once a week. I just can't help it, I'm drawn to it. Whether it's a face mask, a foundation, lipstick, lip balm, moisturizer... give me it all!

I've been using a lot of new products lately and it was time to do a post like this. I think it's overwhelming to you (and to me) to do a review post on every single new product I use. Putting them altogether every few weeks with mini reviews is more than enough.

If you'd like me to do more beauty reviews, please let me know and I'll incorporate them best I can!

Let's get into the beauty products, shall we?

//Dr. Jart BB Cream Duo: From reviewing my monthly Birchbox products, I was able to rack up a signficant amount of points. I usually like to use my points the moment I get $10 (100 points=$10) but this time I saved up $30. I was looking for something new and I knew with the warmer weather coming I was going to need a new BB cream or two. I decided to try out the Dr. Jart BB Creams since I had heard some great stuff about it and I know Dr. Jart is a great brand.

The BB Creams that came in the set were the premium and the radiance. I've been using the premium one nonstop and I really like it. It adjusts to your skin shade (I think; since there is no shade on the bottle) and it gives a nice amount of coverage. I use it on "no makeup days" or even when I'm too lazy to apply real foundation. I used the radiance one once or twice but since my skin was acting up, it looked a little odd. The radiance one gives a nice natural glow and I'll be using it a lot more once the weather warms up. Verdict-- I love these BB Creams!

//Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade: I've been wanting this product forever. I just wanted to try it out and see if it was worth the hype. Youtube Vloggers rave about this and I've been wanting a new brow product. Anastasia is the queen of the brows and when I was looking for something else to buy with my Birchbox points, I knew this would be at the top of the list. A little goes a long way with this pomade and it takes a light hand to use it. Dip Brow is basically a tinted, potted gel that is waterproof and smudge proof. Once it's in place, there is no moving it. I use the tiniest amount to get a sculpted, defined, and filled in brow. It definitely takes some getting used too and I only use it on special occasions because I'm lazy but I want to start using it more. It really does make all the difference!

//Maybelline Master Conceal: When I saw that Maybelline was releasing new concealers (before Christmas), I was so excited. Concealers are my vice and I could never have enough of them. This one was advertised as a thicker concealer that would help with dark circles. Sign me up! It's been said that it's a dupe for Mac Pro Long Wear concealer but I've never used that so I cannot attest. This concealer is thick but not too thick and blends very, very well. I does a great job at covering my dark circles and I can tell when I'm wearing this as opposed to my other concealers. It does crease a little but I think it may be my eyes because they've been very dry lately. It's a good concealer and I've been reaching for it a lot more than usual!

//Sumita Eyeliner: I got this in a Birchbox a few months ago and after my mom used it, she immediately bought herself (and me) a full sized one. She got plum and I got navy blue since she took my mini navy blue one from the Birchbox. I haven't used this too much because I haven't used eyeliner in months. Seriously, I have been loving my no eyeliner look. I really want to start using this more because it's such a fun color but still dark enough that it doesn't make too much of a statement. I have to say though, this pencil liner does smudge quite a bit so I need to figure out a way to take care of that.

//Milani Tea Rose Powder Blush: Blush is not my thing; I have maybe 3 blushes and this is one of them. Milani is one of my favorite drugstore brands and I knew after seeing some rave reviews, that I needed this blush. It's not too powdery, it's pigmented, and it has the most gorgeous rose overlay design. It's the perfect everyday shade, the perfect mix of pink, nude, and mauve. I have not been using anything else for the past few months. I'm addicted and it's made me fall in love with blush.

//Too Faced Melted Liquefied Lipstick in Chihuahua: I have wanted one of these lipsticks for the longest time. I don't know if it was the packaging, the fact that it was Too Faced, or that it was the new trend... liquid lipsticks. When Too Faced was having their Valentine's Day sale, (I think it was like 20 or 30% off) I jumped at this. The shades weren't very wearable, at least not my style, so I chose Chihuahua, a rosy, mauve like color-- very on trend. The consistency is so cool, very liquid but not sticky. The finish is almost like a mix between glossy, satin, and matte. I've seen people say they last on the lips forever but I don't have that experience; I mean, there is color on the lips a while after application but I think I need to see how it holds up when I'm not eating or drinking. I need to get my hands on some more ASAP.
