Another week done....can you believe it's the end of January? I'm in shock. How did it go by so fast?

Well, honestly, it doesn't feel like it went by that fast. I feel like NYE was years ago(HAHAHA) but at the same time, it feels like the month flew by.

I'm gearing up for my least favorite month...February. I hate February. Valentines Day, a lot of not great stuff has happened in February, and just one step closer to Spring. UGH.

This week wasn't terrible...I got my JawboneUp (post coming later), we had a huge(not really) snowstorm in NYC and everyone got a snow day, I went to my first hockey game, and I'm taking it slow this weekend. 

Anyways, here's what I was loving this week:

This interview with Carly from The College Prepster is incredible! Just gives me more reasons to love her. 

NYC was basically shut down due to snow storm Juno and the streets without people is simply incredible.

I love seeing what people keep in their bags, especially when they're the Beauty Director of Allure Magazine. 

Texting ruins lives. Plain and simple. 

Mercury is in retrograde so that explains so much! Here's how it's messing with everyone's heads. 

A baby hearing a blender for the first time is too funny! 

In other kids news, a boy explaining his first kiss is a reminder of love in it's purest, more innocent form. Too cute for words.

A few weeks back I entered College Prepster's giveaway for a monogrammed necklace from Rutherford Papers.

I always enter giveaways like this but I never win; I never win anything for that matter but the day before I got back to school after Christmas break, I got an email from the lovely Carly telling me I had won!

I almost cried I was so happy. Seriously, I never win a single thing so to win something as wonderful as this, from one of my favorite blogs, I was overjoyed!

Carly connected me to the people at Rutherford Papers and I gave them my choice of size, color, and chain style. The people at Rutherford Papers are the sweetest people I have ever dealt with and were so helpful with everything.

I received the necklace no more than three days later and it is perfect!

I already have a small, white monogram with a silver chain so I decided to get a large, black monogram with a gold chain. It also came in this adorable mesh bag that is great for storage; I like to keep some of my good jewelry separate from the rest so this is perfect. 

It's an acrylic necklace but the quality is superb. It's definitely not too big (I ordered a monogram necklace from Etsy for my big a few months back and it was REALLY big), this one was perfect though.

I've received so many compliments on it whenever I wear it and because it's gold and black, it matches pretty much everything I wear.

I'm totally in love with it so thank you once again to College Prepster and Rutherford Papers !

If you haven't noticed, I switched up the layout for my blog last night! Hopefully everyone likes it :)

 I really want to expand and make this blog wonderful for everyone who visits it.

I got the idea to do this blog from other lovely lady bloggers such as Carly from "The College Prepster" (The blogging queen), Carly from "Chicago Prepster" (one of my favs), and Lily from "It's Official"

I really admire their hard work and dedication to blogging; I thought it seemed easy but it's a lot more difficult than expected. To create different posts to go with the theme of your blog and then to find time to put it altogether..not to mention finding people to read it.. It's definitely not as easy as people think.

I really do enjoy blogging for myself but also for whoever reads it; it's a pretty cool concept.

I'm going to really step up my blogging game, trying to blog at least every day, and have a more eclectic (i love that word) kind of posts.

So please bare with me, stick around, and help me create the blog I want Royally Pink to be. 

I'm going to need your help though; spread the word on Royally Pink, comment and leave your thoughts. I want this blog to be FOR YOU GUYS! I want this to be one of your favorite blogs to go too, I know that's asking a lot but I really do enjoy doing this.

If you haven't noticed, monograms are taking over the world! Everywhere I look, I see another monogrammed product!

In truth though, you can really monogram anything and everything; I have truly caught onto the obsession.

When I noticed the trend a few weeks back, I immediately needed a monogrammed SOMETHING and came across this fabulous site SwellCaroline which has beautiful jewelry and some wonderful monogrammed products.

I thought they had the best deal for an acrylic monogrammed necklace so I purchased it, a small acrylic monogrammed necklace in Ivory with a sterling silver chain. I thought it was a reasonable price and I really wanted it so I treated myself.

The necklace arrived about a month and a half later because of the personalization of it but it was well worth the wait! I've worn it to death by now and I get a ridiculous amount of compliments on it.

I'm so thrilled with the purchase!

More monogrammed goodness...Maybooks.com. I've spoken about this wonderful company before and my thoughts still stand.

The quality of their notebooks is incredible and the customization is on point.

When shopping for a notebook from Maybooks, you can put your trusty monogram on the cover in two different styles of script.

Having these eco friendly, gorgeous notebooks at my side are going to make my school year A LOT better.

I've found some other amazing monogrammed products that are on my wish list.

DKM Accessories is another great site with beautiful jewelry that I've fallen in love with. They have this gorgeous monogrammed bracelet. It's a bit above my price range but I'm putting it on my Christmas List because it's too beautiful and perfect to not have on my wrist.

Also on DKM, they have a great stretch monogrammed ring. It's a pretty good price and I've seen other people review it and it seems to have great quality. This is another thing on my wish list.

Finally, what phone isn't complete without a monogrammed phone case? I am patiently awaiting a purchase of an iPHONE (which will hopefully be coming within the next three weeks) and one of the first things I'll do is order a monogrammed phone case!

I found this adorable website, Three Hip Chicks which is a great preppy website for all your prepster purchases.

They have a GREAT selection of phone cases; there are so many choices to choose from and the prices are definitely within a reasonable price range.

Monograms are a classic "trend" that are never going to stray far away. Monograms seem to be here to stay.
