I always loved going back to school in September because I craved routine, loved seeing my friends everyday, and genuinely enjoyed school. I'd also be lying if I said I didn't adore back to school shopping. Notebooks, backpacks, pens, highlighters, planners... ugh I love it all!

I thought that I was going to have to say goodbye school supply shopping when I graduated college but nope, I will do no such thing.

We already know how much I love planners, but there are so many other choices for grown up school supplies aka office supplies aka essentials.

There are some things I just need to have at my desk, and things I always keep in my work bag. I may do an updated "What's in my Work Bag" post in a few weeks too because it's definitely changed (and downsized), but this is strictly office supplies.

What are your favorite "grown up" school supplies?

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of BIC 4-Color pen for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

When I was a young student, I loved nothing more than school supply shopping. I used to look forward every summer to getting my back to school list and running to Staples to buy everything. I think that is one of the things I'll miss most when I graduate in two weeks.

Aside from planners, different colors pens were definitely my favorite. I love having a few different colors to pick from while studying and making outlines. It is sometimes annoying to have to use so many different pens for simple tasks but there is a solution.

BIC 4-Color Pen™ is the answer that school supply nerds everywhere have been looking for. This great pen brings together four of the most common pen colors in one nifty little package. Combining black, blue, red and green is the greatest gift that BIC can give to students.
I remember using this pen when I was younger and I loved it!

With finals coming up, everyone's lives are about to get a lot more hectic so it'll be easy to have this pen on hand. I personally love using black pens, rarely use blue and love to throw some color into the mix so it's easier to see the important stuff.

BIC has done something super fun and has given each color pen their own personality so you can idenify yourself with one, great color that fits you perfectly! The different personalities are a really fun way to see which color is right for you as a student.

Blue: Blue likes himself. And with good reason: he knows that he's important. Blue cheese, blue skies, blue jeans, blue moon; he's everywhere! To prove his point, look at the names of his family members: Navy Blue, Oxford Blue, Royal Blue...Ever heard of "royal yellow"? Exactly. Let's admit it… Blue is the boss.
Green: Green is the jealous type…wouldn’t you be if your Red, Blue, and Black counterparts were used [way] more often than you? He’s a foodie. Such a foodie that he chronicles each of his daily meals on his social media profile. Because if you eat a meal and don’t take a picture of it, did it really even happen? Green has a soft side too. For example, last summer he cooked a huge cat nip cake for his beloved cat, Mr. Furrybottom. Oh, and Green still sucks his thumb. But according to him, that's an old trick to prevent him from snoring.
Red: Red likes it when things are correct. When matches are parallel and books are well aligned on a shelf. His favorite moment of the day? When it is 11:11 sharp on his digital watch. His passion in life? He has many: spelling, grammar, conjugation, calculation. And a bit of syntax on the weekend. Want to make him happy? Give him some mistakes to correct. He even makes mistakes on purpose sometimes, just for the pleasure of correcting them.
Black: He just doesn’t understand…why does it always have to be about Blue? He is not as fit as Blue although he likes to think that he's just as handsome as he is – in a different way though. (Muscles are so last season). He secretly dreams of becoming the Undisputed Master of the World but hasn't yet come up with a clear plan for this. And before we forget (although he doesn't like to talk about it), his natural hair color is blond.

I'd have to say I'm most like the red pen because I love when things are in order. I'm happiest when I'm most organized and everything is in its place. Red is such a Type A color and that fits me perfectly.

There is few things I love more than back to school shopping. After the fourth of July, I count down the days till I am able to go to Staples or Target and buy all new supplies.

The smell of a fresh, blank notebook, the touch of a brand new pen to clean paper, the first time you open your planner--it's such an experience for me. And I'm being awfully dramatic but that is just how much I love school supplies.

It really pains me that this was the last time I will go school supply shopping. It was the start to many lasts of my senior year and I'm not ready to let go of this one yet. I think during August and September for the rest of my life I will always go school supply shopping and buy new notebooks, planners, etc.

I now consider myself an expert in the school supplies since it gives me the types of chills watching "The Notebook" does.

I usually stick to the same types of school supplies but here are some that I am LOVING this year!

If I didn't already buy my Lilly agenda, this would've been my next purchase!

I have my Lilly Pulitzer 'Dirty Shirley' pencil pouch from last year and one from Levo League but I think this adorable Tusk in the Sun pouch will find it's way into my life soon enough.

These pencils are all over the internet and Mackenzie Horan is one special lady; she is so talented and these pencils are the perfect addition to any collection. I have been eyeing them from a good year; I think it's time to purchase them!

I love stationary and lists and post its; my desk is currently covered in them. I really love this to-do list from Kate Spade because it's chic, adorable, and completely useful.

Maybooks is my go-to for having extra notebooks around. I always find it useful to keep a few extra notebooks at hand for jotting down extra notes, whether it's for internships, my sorority, or a random notebook with a bunch of random notes. Having those extra books keeps me more organized and really helps clear my mind and keep me sane.
