Over the years I have experimented with many different fitness trackers. I've used Kate Spade's SmartWatch, Fitbits, Jawbone Up (RIP to that brand), and more in between. They were all fine, I liked them enough but eventually, I got sick of using them.

They felt like a chore, an annoying thing to wear on my wrist and at some point, I just stopped wearing them every day. That is until I got the itch to start wearing one again and of course, needed a new one to go along with the renewed habit.

The want for a new fitness tracker started at the end of 2020. I wanted to keep it simple: just track my steps and my sleep. It was around the time Amazon and WW were partnering on a new tracker called 'Halo' and I immediately bought it. I was less than impressed and quickly returned it because it just wasn't my vibe. It had no screen, it was uncomfortable and it seemed a little over-complicated for my liking.

I purchased this generic one from Amazon instead, and that novelty quickly died down because it was honestly just not a good tracker and felt too bulky for my liking. However, at the start of the new year, I wanted to get back on the grind and saw that Amazon and WW partnered on a new version of the Halo called 'Halo View' and I was quickly sold.

It's been about two months of using the Halo View and I really like it! There are virtually no cons to it and I am definitely not even using it to its full potential but I figured I'd do a check-in review and let you know.

My love of fitness trackers is no secret. I've had a FitBit, a Kate Spade Tracker, and a Ringly. However, a few months ago I stopped using all of them. I was bored of them, and they kind of lost their luster. I also hated wearing them because they either clashed with everything or they bothered me aka I was lazy.

I had given up on activity trackers until I saw that Kate Spade was coming out with a Touchscreen Smart Watch. I had been very intrigued by the Apple Watch but never felt like it was worth it.

Then, I saw the Kate Spade smartwatch and I fell in love. I pre-ordered it back in January and it came the first week of February.

I've been using it for a solid month and I am obsessed!

It uses Andriod technology but is compitable with the iPhone(s). It tracks your steps, gives you notifcations from your phone, check the weather, and you can even log your workouts. You can download different apps from the Google Play Store and it's basically like your phone on your watch.

One of my favorite parts is that you can change the watch faces. There's a few standard digital faces and then some fun analog ones (like the Daisy and the Taxi Cab). If you're not feeling any of those, you can create your own by changing the colors.

A very cool, unique and Kate Spade-y feature is that you can tell the watch what you're wearing, what time of day it is, and what color handbag you're using, and it'll come up with a watch face that matches your outfit.

It's so millennial and such a Clueless factor!

The face that I use the most is the Simple Analog Digital face because it has the number of steps as well as my calendar icon.

I didn't know how I would feel about having my texts and emails come up on the watch but it actually does have me look at my phone less. My phone is always on silent and I have my email notifications turned off, so I do look at my phone a lot to see if anything new comes up.

This way, I'm automatically notified if something comes in, and I can almost screen it to see if it's worth me picking up my phone.

For example, I was at my grandpa's over the weekend and he hates when I'm on my phone, so I was able to see if anything important came through on text and didn't have to answer right away.

*If you want to see a full overview of everything the watch can do, Kate Spade has a great video looking at every single feature!

I even wear it at the gym because I downloaded Google Fit which can track your workout. It really is the best of all worlds.

The watch isn't heavy, it's very comfortable, and pretty much looks good with everything.

If you've ever been curious about the Apple Watch, I highly recommend the Kate Spade Touchscreen Smart Watch! It's cheaper (I think) than the Apple Watch, more stylish, and is perfect for those Kate Spade lovers!
I've been on the fitness tracker game for a few years now, on and off. My Jawbone UP stopped working a few months back, and they've been experiencing some business issues, so I didn't want to repurchase.

When I saw that Kate Spade was releasing fitness or "activity" trackers I immediately jumped on board. I ordered it as soon as I got the email, and fell in love.

This is a stylish fitness tracker, that is comfortable to wear and pretty much goes with any outfit or arm party. It doesn't cramp your style, which is what I always hated about regular fitness trackers. They always ruined the entire look, but I wanted to wear it because I needed to account for my steps!

The Kate Spade tracker is very easy to use; it has only a few features and to me, the most important ones. It tracks your sleep, steps, and water intake. For that reason, it's very easy to use and follow. Sometimes, fitness trackers have a lot of useless features, well useless to me.

I'm not a fitness buff, I don't need a lot of fancy features in my fitness tracker. I use it to manage my steps & mostly my sleep. It's not a necessity to my lifestyle, so that's why the Kate Spade tracker was the ultimate fit for me.

The app is super cute, I mean, it's Kate Spade! Of course it's going to be chic and cute. It was right up my alley...

That is, until I went to College Fashion Week and got a FREE FitBit.

I never liked FitBits because the look of them was always so bulky. I know that they were basically the original fitness tracker but I didn't care, Jawbone was always more delicate and my speed.

But, the FitBit Flex 2 looks like a Jawbone Up, but is not nearly as nice as the Kate Spade one. The FitBit is also a bit more complicated that Kate Spade; it has more features; it tracks your food, weight, and exercise. You can also do challenges, and it tells you how many calories you're burning.

The FitBit is truly those who live and breath fitness and need something more intricate and detailed.

At first, I hated it; the app was annoying me, and I just couldn't get used to it. I much preferred the Kate Spade app and look of the tracker.

I struggled with the decision for a bit, but I ultimately returned the Kate Spade one because, well, the FitBit was free.

As I'm writing this, I'm being reminded of how much I loved and enjoyed the Kate Spade tracker and I'm thinking I may have to repurchase it as a birthday or Christmas present to myself.

Do I prefer the Kate Spade tracker  to the Fitbit? Yes, I do. For what I use it for. I think if you just want to track your steps & sleep, you're better off with a simple tracker. If you're really into the gym and health and fitness, you're better off with the FitBit.

What are your thoughts on fitness trackers?
I've never been a fitness guru and by no means am I one now. But, I have become slightly more conscience of food and excerise. I'm actually happy with how I look, for once in my life, but even then, I may not be as healthy as I should so of course there is always room for improvement.

I'm also someone who is into the latest trend and loves to shop. I love gimmicky things and if people are talking about it, I need it. Give me the latest technology, lipstick, shoes... just give me it all.

Combine that with my want to be healthier, in all aspects, and you've got a fitness tracker.

I've seen this trend time and time again and was always curious but honestly, they were too expensive. I didn't want to bother with Fitbit or Nike Flex Band, they looked a little too complicated and were too bulky to be worn for the every day, in my opinion.

I knew when I got a fitness tracker I'd get the JawboneUp. It was the first one I had heard about and I had a few friends who had it so I was aware of how it worked.

In mid January I saw that JawboneUp was on sale, on Target, Best Buy, and a few other retailers. I knew that this was my chance. It retails for $130 and I wasn't about that life but I could swing $60 no problem.

As if the shopping gods were watching over me, no retailer had my wrist size in the color black (I wanted black because I thought it'd be better for everyday but now I wish I had gotten grey). I was disappointed but found a solution.

I checked Amazon because why not and in turn, they had a black JawboneUp in a size medium wrist for $45 with free shipping. I never ordered something so fast.

I've been using it since then and honestly, it's so freaking cool. I'm obsessed. At first it was weird to wear something on my wrist everyday but I've gotten used to it.

JawboneUp tracks your sleep and the number of steps you take per day. You have to sync the bracelet with your phone (after you download the app) to see your progress and you also have to charge the band every 7-9 days.

You could also count calories using the app but after reading some reviews, I found that using MyFitnessPal and syncing it with your JawboneUp app is much better. MyFitnessPal has a lot more food options when tracking calories and having it sync with the Jawbone app is painless.

The JawboneUp app is very sleek, easy to read and keep track of everything. You can create teams with your Facebook friends, Twitter followers, or contacts to encourage each other and see how other people are doing with their journey.

Sleep tracker

I was first really intrigued by JawboneUp and fitness trackers in general because I sometimes have trouble sleeping and I thought it'd be cool to see how much sleep I'm getting and how many times I wake up during the night. I was blown away by how accurate this bad boy was. It tells you how long it took to fall asleep, how many hours of sound sleep you got, etc. It's so cool and honestly, I've seen such a difference in how I feel each morning after getting the right amount of sleep.

One of my favorite parts about this fitness tracker is how it gives you "Today I Will" which are different goals based on your progress. It holds you accountable for different items, such as eating 25g of fiber or having a set bedtime. It's so cool and just helps you become that much healthier and develop different routines.

Using the JawboneUp for the past month/month and a half has been awesome. I'm much more aware of how many steps I take, how much I'm working out, sleeping, and how many glasses of water I drink. You could even track your mood!

I'm really obsessed and cannot get enough of this little device. I think it's so cool, so worth it, and really helps steer you in the right direction for a healthier lifestyle.
