31 Days: Day 3 and 4 :)

Hello all :)

So I'm combining the two days because I didn't post yesterday because I was so busy!

Yesterday was really hectic; I had two meetings, four classes, and a long right
of recruitment and bidding.

It was Pref Night last night and each time I sit through it, it still amazes me. There is nothing
like a Phi Sigma Sigma Pref Night. The ritual is incredible along with all the speeches
made by sisters and the words read from the ritual book.

I never make it through a round without tearing up; it's amazing.

Pref Night went surprisingly quick and we were done really early, which means
that we were able to start bidding early and be done by 2am. (Last semester we were
done at 6am)

So today is bid day and I am SO nervous. I can't wait to find out
who my new sisters are and how many new Phi Sig babies we get! It's so exciting.

Also yesterday, I found out that an article I wrote for about what you
can learn from sorority recruitment was published on LevoLeague. It's so 
exciting to write about something you love and are passionate about
and see it posted for so many people to see!

Tonight is going to be so much fun; alumni are returning and new sisters are 
being welcomed. My love for my sorority has just grown
immensely this week!

31 Days: Day 2

And here we have Day 2 (or 3, really)

On October 3rd he asked me what day it was...It's October 3rd.

Yep, that's right, it's National Mean Girls Day...AND it's a Wednesday so obviously I wore my pink Phi Sig letters today.

Today was pretty normal, I procrastinated a lot which was not good at all since I have three papers due tomorrow and recruitment all night.

8 am class was brutal as usual but the rest of the day was pretty swell, I suppose.

I discovered Spotify...UM IT'S AMAZING! I can't believe that I never downloaded it before, it's so much better than Pandora or iHEARTRADIO. I love that you can listen to an entire album and make playlists...for free. It's pretty awesome and I'm so excited to listen to it constantly.

My iPOD definitely has some competition.

On that note, I have to mention that I have been once again listening to "Red" by Taylor Swift nonstop. It's just so incredible and her lyrics are brilliant, yet again.

I'm excited for the second night of recruitment, it'll be fun and last night went pretty smoothly so I'm looking forward to it.

I got an email from my school today saying that my enrollment date for the Spring semester has been
posted. Um, it's October 3rd, I am no where near ready to think about my
second semester of Junior year.

Although, picking classes for the upcoming year is my favorite thing to do!
I can't wait to pick my electives and take some fun classes since 
I'm pretty much done with my core classes so we'll see!

That's it; my day was pretty boring. Hopefully I'll have some exciting stuff soon!

31 Days: Day 1

There's this challenging floating around the blog-o-sphere and I decided I'd take a stab at it. It's called the 31 Day Challenge where you pick a topic and blog everyday about it. 

I've chosen my topic and it's:

YAY! So I'll be posting hopefully every day this month with the major details 
of my day because lets face it, something dramatic always happens to me on a daily basis.

I missed yesterday because well, it was too hectic but today is the start!

Today was pretty normal, did some stuff in the library, had an appointment
at the career development center to go over my resume and then had classes.

In one of my journalism classes, there was a fuss made over me (awkward)
because I recently had an article I wrote published on an actual website!!
My teacher was happy and there is a possibility that he will 
nominate me for a student journalism award.

That would be so exciting but I won't dwell on it. I like to keep
my expectations low so I don't get disappointed.

Tonight is the first night of RECRUITMENT! It's my 
favorite week of the year and it's so exciting. New shirts,
happiness, new sisters, and the chance to brag about how wonderful
Phi Sig is !! 

I will do another post with the benefits of Greek Life before the week is over
because I swear by it; the best decision ever.

So yeah, I'll be heading there in an hour so I need to start getting ready but campus
is filled with eagerness, even though we are a small campus, everyone still
gets so excited about recruitment.

It's really exciting because I'm on the Council for Greek Governance 
executive board so I have an even bigger role in recruitment this year.

It rained today in gloomy NYC which I was happy about because I LOVE the rain; 
it's not normal. I also listened to Taylor Swift's new song "Red" about 15 times.

So in a nut shell, that was my day! I will keep up this challenge
and WILL blog more. I've been slacking and it's because of
my schedule and my nerves were shot last week so I will
do better!
