My makeup routine was non-existent for the first few weeks of quarantine but then one morning, I decided I needed to put a face on. That day, when I applied minimal makeup for the first time in weeks, I felt good. I was a little happier and more positive all around.

I realized that the act of putting makeup on, even if it's just a few products, really helped brighten my mood. It was almost like it tricked my mind that it was a normal day. I also always feel better when I'm put together; when my nails, hair, and makeup are done...even if I'm wearing sweats.

I've been keeping up with this mini makeup routine during the quarantine and these are the products that make it easy!

Colourpop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturizer

Before quarantine, I was on the hunt for a tinted moisturizer that could be applied with my hands. I also didn't want to spend a ton of money so enter Colourpop. I don't know if this is my favorite tinted moisturizer ever but it gets the job done. My skin looks pretty dewy & fresh when I apply it and it has great coverage. It applies easily with my hands, doesn't cling to dry patches, and lasts a good amount of time throughout the day. It's the perfect tinted moisturizer for an elevated no-makeup look.

Covergirl Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation

I don't know the last time I was this excited about a complexion product. When I saw Covergirl release this new 'Skin Milk Foundation' I was super pumped. I saw Lili Reinhart's commercial debuting this foundation and something inside me moved. I needed this foundation more than life itself. I really love any makeup product with the word 'milk' in the title and I'm not sure why... maybe it's because I feel like it will heal my dry skin. I probably could've used a shade darker in this foundation (I have the shade 540 Light) and it's just a touch too white for me. I apply this with my fingers and then will further blend in with a brush. I really love this foundation and I would even say this is similar to a tinted moisturizer. It doesn't feel heavy on my face, has light-medium coverage and looks like skin, which is all I need right now. I really enjoy Covergirl foundations and this is a little reminiscent of their old Ready Set Gorgeous foundation that was a holy grail of mine back in the day. If you need a new foundation to wear in the house, I recommend this!

Too Faced Peach Perfect Instant Coverage Concealer

This is another product I got right before quarantine started and one that I was pretty excited to try out. I love Too Faced concealers so when I saw this pot concealer, I immediately had to have it. I'm a sucker for a new concealer! This is a dry concealer in terms of it's not that creamy in the pot. It's not drying on the eyes and once it touches your skin and begins to warm up, it blends into your skin really easily. This is a great medium coverage concealer and really helps brighten the under-eye area. It has a nice, natural finish (the website says it's supposed to have a matte finish but I don't really get that vibe) and I've been wearing it every day. It doesn't really feel like anything under the eye which is great for lowkey days.

Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara

I haven't been curling my lashes a ton during this quarantine so I'm using my go-to mascara on the days when I AM wearing mascara. Mascara is usually my must-have, cannot leave the house without, product but I've been skipping it more and more. However, when I apply Monsieur Big, my lashes look fierce and I feel even more put together. This is one of my top 5 favorite mascaras of all time and one that I've purchased multiple times. It makes my lashes look long, separated, and voluminous; everything I have ever wanted in a mascara.

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Balm

This is a new find and a product I was pleasantly surprised by. A few months ago, Bite reformulated their Agave lip products but I hadn't tried the new lip balm because the old lip balm gave me a bad allergic reaction. However, recently, this was on sale for $11 so I figured I'd give it a try. Oh wow, this new formula is SO GOOD! It's creamier than the old formula and really sinks into your lips to deeply hydrate and repair. It has been my go-to balm for the past few weeks and I simply cannot live without it during the day. If you need a new lip balm, please go try this

What are your quarantine beauty products?

This might be the latest I've ever posted a monthly favorites post but better late than never! Shopping was at a minimum this month and I'm happy about that, so the favorites I have are a little random.

We are finally in the home stretch of summer and I could not be happier about it. I am so excited for my favorite season and my favorite months... but also a little scared because that means my 25th birthday is only a few months away.

I don't think I'm going to handle turning 25 well but we have plenty of time to hash that out on the blog!

This summer was pretty good, I did a lot of fun stuff and the party continues because I'm going to Boston with my big (sorority sister) this weekend! I've always said if I had to leave New York, I'd go to Boston. I think the city is so beautiful (I've only been once) and it's so full of history -- I'm just a little obsessed.

I'll definitely do a full post on the trip next week so keep an eye out for that.

Right now, let's focus on what I loved this month!

Weight Watchers: I mentioned earlier this month that I started Weight Watchers. I don't talk about my weight or diet things on the blog but I guess I should start because it's something I've always struggled with. My mom has always told me to try Weight Watchers but I was always hesitant -- I don't know why. I've lost 7 pounds in less than a month (was up 9 pounds but gained 2 last week). I will do a full fledged post soon but I had to mention it because it has been a huge thing for me this month.

Ringly: On the fitness side of things... I've been eyeing Ringly FOREVER and this month I took the plunge. I love my Kate Spade fitness tracker and still use it to track my sleep (Ringly doesn't track sleep and I didn't know that before I bought it) but the Kate Spade tracker is not as sleek or chic as a Ringly. I want to be able to wear watches and nice jewelry with my tracker and Ringly allows that. I'll do a huge post this month on Ringly too but it's for sure a favorite!

Jack Rogers Rose Gold West Hampton Sandal: I love a good pair of Jack Rogers and every summer, they are my most worn shoe. I've gone through a few pairs so this year I knew I needed a new one. When I saw the Rose Gold sandal I knew these were meant for me. I have not stopped wearing them all summer long and they are the perfect shoe. They match pretty much every outfit I have and I find them super comfortable. Jacks are the shoe that you could dress up or dress down and I love the brand for that.

Glossier Birthday Balm Dot Com: I've been meaning to mention this so what better place than monthly favorites. I love Balm Dot Com so much so when I heard that Glossier was releasing a new scent in collaboration with Momofuku Milk Bar that was going to smell like birthday cake, I jumped on it. This has the most incredible, sweet scent and a touch of shimmer; it still has the same moisturizing properties that regular Balm Dot Com has, just with an extra punch. I'm obsessed!

Laura Geller Quench-n-Tint: There comes a point in the summer that I stop wearing foundation (and a lot of makeup in general) because it's just too hot. Well, the past few weeks was that point and I've been obsessed with Quench-n-Tint. This sheer foundation (more like a tinted moisturizer) is a burst of hydration for your face and gives sheer coverage; it doesn't feel like anything on your skin but makes everything even and nice. I highly recommend going to Ulta to try this out and see if it's something that would work for you because I cannot get enough.

That's it for my favorites! What did you love last month?

Even though I re-subscribed to Birchbox this past month, I kept my subscription to Ipsy Glam Bag because I have the extra $10 right now and I really do enjoy the full size samples I receive in Ipsy.

This month's bag wasn't really to die for but it was pretty great.

Shall we jump right into it?

The bag that I received this month was an adorable, neon, waterproof bag to go with the beach theme of the products. It was a little small but it'll do; it was really cute!

The first product is a great chubby lip pencil in a fuchsia pink color. It glides on really well and is really, really bright. It doesn't stay on that great, it got clumpy along my lip line but it's a great summer product and I don't really mind reapplying it every so often.

Just a little swatch of the lip pencil

The next product is a sample of three eyeshadows. When I tried to swatch them, they aren't very pigmented and I'm not crazy about the colors. Because of the heat, I haven't really used eyeshadow but once it gets a little colder, I may try them out for real but I'm not in love with the palette. It was a nice surprise, to get three eyeshadows, though!

I received this Coola Sunscreen Tinted Moisturizer; Coola is a brand that I've received in my Birchbox before and I like it. I was really excited to get a tinted moisturizer because that's all I've been using this summer. It's not really that tinted when applied to my face but it'll do for days when I want a minimal make-up look.

I've been trying out a bunch of new products to tame my frizz and curly hair this summer so I was thrilled when I got this soy, texturizing beach spray by Healthy Sexy Hair. I used it, without any other products, so I could get the real feel for what it did to my hair and I was slightly disappointed. My hair wasn't necessarily frizzy but the curly wasn't great. I guess I misinterpreted what this spray does and it's not a "curling" spray so maybe combined with my curl products, this will work better!

My favorite product in this bag, and the reason I was so excited to receive this month's Ipsy was the great Benetint. My love affair with Benefit Cosmetics has reached an all time high so I'm really excited to try this out. I've been loving my ChaChat Tint so I haven't used this yet because I'm not ready to sport red cheeks.

Altogether, I think I liked my Birchbox better this month, they were just better quality products, even if they weren't full sized.
