I love doing handbag reviews because they are my favorite accessory piece, but you already knew that. I think handbag reviews are very important because they're usually a big purchase and you should know what you're getting before spending money.

I always am looking for handbag reviews and sometimes it's really hard to find them. It's very easy to find certain brand reviews like luxury brands (LV, Chanel, Gucci, etc) but harder to come by the contemporary brands, such as Kate Spade.

That's why I tend to review my Kate Spade bags regularly, but also because I love this brand the most.

Today's review is the Make It Mine Byrdie. Kate Spade took their classic Byrdie bag and transformed it into a convertible bag where you can change the flaps and straps to customize the bag and give it a different look.

Personalization is such a big trend and what consumers are constantly looking for nowadays, whether that's in beauty or fashion, and Kate Spade has capitalized on this big time.

I bought my Make It Mine Byrdie in November, as a birthday gift to myself, after lusting after it for over a year. I love the idea of buying different flaps to give yourself a completely different look.

I love the bag and it's really a great everyday bag. The one qualm I have is that the bag is a little tiny for my liking but I love to carry around the kitchen sink with me on a daily basis.

If you want to see my full review, I did a Youtube video about it and showed all my flaps and how you switch them out!

Have a great day everyone!

I'm back with another handbag review and we're doing a Kate Spade one! I have (had) a lot of Kate Spade bags in my collection and they are by far my favorite.

This is a bag that I've had my eye on for so long and finally pulled the plug when it was on sale at the beginning of May. I did 2-day shipping so I could get it to bring on my work trip to Florida and it turned out to be a great asset.

The Cameron Street Blakely is a typical Kate Spade bag with a bit of an edge; it's on the smaller side of medium, has great structure, sturdy handles, a comfortable shoulder strap, and a front pocket that is so good I need it on all my bags.

I first saw this bag last year (!!) when it was debuted and fell in love immediately. There were a lot of different colors (some which you can find on eBay -- I saw the blue one yesterday and fell in love all over again) and the color I got was not my first choice. I really wanted the porcini/black combination which was a light pink and black color block but that was obviously more expensive. I decided on the purple because I felt it was different and a little outside my comfort zone.

You may think it doesn't match everything but I wear mostly neutral colors so I find that it goes with most if not all of my outfits.

What I fell in love with was the structure and size of the bag. It's very square, obviously, but the way the sides expand a bit create a more dimensional feeling and I really loved that. I also LOVE the front pocket -- this was super handy on my trip because I kept my important documents and my cell phone in there for easy access.

As I said before, the bag comes with a shoulder strap and I love that Kate Spade allows you to personalize them now so I may have to scoop a new strap up that matches this little lady. Sometimes the shoulder strap can get annoying and in the way so I like having the option to remove it, which I did over the weekend and LOVED.

It's nothing special inside, just has two smaller pockets on one side and a larger zip pocket on the other; very standard for any handbag.

This is the small Cameron Street Blakely but you would be very surprised at what could fit inside. I wish I would've taken a picture of it on my trip because this baby was jam packed full of stuff; makeup bags, water bottles, chargers, agendas, wallets .. the whole nine yards! It didn't lose its shape nor feel too heavy with everything inside. I think that if you bring a normal amount of stuff to work (I do not) this would be a great work bag. The structure keeps it professional while the color makes it fun.

*The color is called crisp linen/lilac petal/mahogany

Honestly, I don't even have any cons to this bag. It's very lightweight, high quality, and just a stunning bag in general. I find it to be super versatile and I have yet to be bored with it.

Right now, Kate Spade is having 30% off their sale styles and this exact bag is still available so I highly recommend scooping it up! I don't think you'll regret it at all!

Hello! It's been a hot second this week but boy oh boy was it a week. I don't remember the last time I was this busy. Let me give you a run down of my week:

Monday- Sister's 21st birthday so we went out for dinner after work. I came home afterwards and was so full and exhausted I passed out.

Tuesday: Super busy day at work and then I attended an after work event/panel about influencers and I didn't get home until 9 PM... once again, passed out.

Wednesday: Went food shopping with my mom after work and then got SO MANY packages so I had to go through them; cleaned my room and packed all the boxes up. Passed out by 10 PM

Thursday: I'm currently writing this but it was a super emotional day (personal reason) and I had a dentist appointment after work. I just uploaded my 2nd Youtube video *which you'll see down below* and am working on my 2nd v-log which will be up over the weekend.

Phew! There ya go, a long, laundry list of excuses of why you got 2 posts this week.

I just wasn't in the right frame of mind to sit down and write, and I couldn't really focus on anything this week. I feel like I could blame it on a few things, like PMS or the fact that I was so busy, and I realized that I hadn't looked in my planner too much. Hopefully next week will be better!

I head to Florida in less than 2 weeks for work and I'm sure I'l have so much fun video content for you! I've really been feeling my Youtube channel and I know I have to figure out a nice balance of what will be video content and what will be blog content; I'll cross that bridge when I come to it though!

For now, let's dive into my current video; a review of the Kate Spade Leewood Place Rainn Leather Tote, my new favorite work bag.

I talk in depth about it in the video but I wanted to come here and just talk some more! When I saw this on Nordstrom.com I didn't even think twice about purchasing it. It's very soft leather, a great shape, and I love the scallop detail. Scallops are a critical part of Kate Spade's design and I've never owned anything scallop so I thought this was a great little piece.

Aside from my Tory Burch Perry Leather Tote I didn't have a black tote so that's why I got it in black. It's currently available in a pale pink, beige, and mint and I'm feeling all of them.

My favorite thing about this bag is how light weight the bag is, and how much you can really fit inside. It's very deceiving from the outside so don't be fooled. It's also a very structured bag but is able to move with your contents. There are some structured bags that are so tough it's not flexible enough to be comfortable; this bag is totally not like that. This is probably in my top 5 favorite bags at the moment!

Below are some more Kate Spade bags I have my eye on (and a few versions of the Leewood Place)

I hope you all enjoyed the video & the review!
