Becca is a newer brand on the beauty scene.. if 2001 is newer to you, but it really flourished back in 2014/2015 if I do say so myself.

It was a brand that was known for their highlighters, most noteworthy Opal. They've since branched out with other products but in their heart of hearts, I think they always stay true to their heritage as a highlight brand. They are always releasing new highlighters in limited edition colors and designs, and combining different highlighter colors to make a new one.

What I'm saying is that Becca Cosmetics has a lot of highlighters and pretty much have something for everyone, but they do have other great non highlighter products too.

I've been using Becca since 2015 and have used a lot of their products so I figured it was time for a Brand Buzz and time to give you my favorite products.

1. Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop: Opal is no longer the most famous highlighter in the universe; it was overtaken when Jaclyn Hill teamed up with Becca and released this gorgeous golden Champagne highlighter. It is by far my favorite highlighter and I have it in 4 separate forms (the original compact, the Jaclyn Hill Face Palette, the poured version, and the Slimlight. It is a gorgeous champagne gold that looks good on everyone. The formula is creamy and smooth but applies really nicely. It's just a great shade and I recommend everyone buying it.

2. Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured in Champagne Pop: I love cream products so when my favorite Becca shade was released in their cream formula, I jumped on it. It's the best cream highlighter formula I've ever tried because it's not too powerful in pigment but still packs a punch. It's also very easy to apply whether with a duo-fiber brush or your fingers. I love, love, LOVE this shade in the cream highlighter version.

3. Mineral Blush in Wild Honey: I love nothing more than a warm, neutral blush and Wild Honey is THAT perfect color. The formula is super soft, pigmented but not too pigmented so it doesn't get messy. It applies perfectly and smoothly on the skin and blends out really well too. This is a blush that I go with whenever I don't know which blush to wear and it always comes through.

4. Aqua Luminous Foundation: This is the only foundation I've ever really finished and I was just reminded at how much I loved it when I sat down to write this post. It's a very watery, liquid based foundation so it feels so good and light on the skin. From what I remember it's a medium coverage and blended out really well with a beautyblender. I also liked that it was a luminous foundation because my dry skin responded very well to it.

5. First Light Priming Filter: I don't know if I've ever loved a primer this much. I used it a lot when I first got it but then like most of us, I got bored but rediscovered it recently. I've been religiously using it for the past month and my goodness, I forgot why I loved it so much. It is one of the few primers that makes my makeup look really good all day long. Everything blends out really smoothly and evenly over it and I just LOVE IT. I highly recommend getting this over the original primer and Sephora has it in a mini size.

Honorable Mention: I LOVE my Jaclyn Hill face palette & eyeshadow palette (I was one of the few that had a good batch of shadow palettes and opted to keep it) but you can't get either of them anymore but I wanted to mention!

Also, I've been loving the Apres Ski Glow palette they just released for the holidays! I highly recommend getting this palette this season.

Below are the items on my Becca wishlist!

What do you love from Becca Cosmetics?

I go through phases with my makeup routine; some weeks I'll wear a full face of foundation, other weeks I can't be bothered to put any foundation on. Some weeks I will do a full eyeshadow look, other weeks I don't touch a single eyeshadow palette.

It may be a certain product, or a certain trend, but when I'm really into something beauty related it becomes my life and it's hard for me to stray from it. I'm in one of those moods right now and my current obsession is cream beauty products.

It could be a foundation, bronzer, blush, or highlight but I cannot stop using or lusting after cream beauty products.

I definitely have the mentality that you should wear cream products in the summertime but I feel like that's the opposite of what you "should do". I truly believe there are no rules when it comes to beauty or makeup and you can do what you want, so that's my motto.

When it's 80 degrees out, the last thing I want to think of is piling on foundation and powder. I feel like the heat makes the powder seep into my skin and I much prefer the finish that a cream product gives. I love looking dewy and glowing, and cream products definitely give me that look.

Cream products are also easier to apply and blend, in my opinion. They take zero to no time to apply and help me in getting ready quicker in the morning. I think they appear more natural on the skin, which is the look I want in the summertime.

Below are a few of my favorite & go to cream products. Some products that aren't included below are: Sephora Cushion Bronzer, Clinique Chubby Foundation Stick, and ColourPop shadows (Wattles & Porter are my two favorite shades right now)

What are your thoughts on cream products?

I've been on a huge foundation kick lately. I feel like there has been a lot of different releases over the past few months and I want to try them all.

I've never been a huge foundation person--some days I skip it altogether, or just go with a trusty powder foundation (I love this one) but lately I just can't shake the feeling of wanting all the foundations!

I've especially enjoyed the trend of water serum foundations. Every brand is releasing their own version of a hydrating, water based, serum like foundation. My favorite so far is the PUR Cosmetics Hydrafluid Water Serum Foundation but another one had caught my eye around the same time.

The only product I've ever tried from Becca are the Shimmering Skin Perfectors
and I love them so much. They are the best highlighters on the market. I've always wanted to try more Becca products and when I saw that the brand was releasing a water based foundation, I immediately wanted to jump on the train.

The Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation is a light weight, buildable formula that feels weightless on the skin and leaves a slight luminous finish.

I never buy high end products on a whim because they're expensive and I don't like to make rash decisions. I always turn to my trusty beauty v-loggers to see what they think of products before I buy. I watched some reviews before purchasing this and all of them were a go so I couldn't wait to buy it.

I chose the shade Light and it's a near perfect match for me. I never have had an issue with choosing foundation shades online so I'm glad this one was no different.

This foundation has a dropper applicator and I really enjoy that aspect of it. The one issue with this applicator, though, is that I can't seem to get enough product out of it. It may just be me and I don't know the proper way to work the dropper (if that makes sense) but it's such a minor con.

I love this foundation and it has quickly become my go-to. It's light to medium coverage and seamlessly melts into the skin. It feels super hydrating and light weight on the skin -- it doesn't feel like anything in my opinion.

I especially like the light luminous finish it leaves on the skin. It's not overpowering which is always appreciated because who wants to look like a disco ball before applying any bronzer, blush, or highlight?

I can't attest to staying power because a lot of things go into that-- primer, skin type, activity. I never pay attention to how long a foundation stays on my skin because in different lighting, my face looks completely different. I should really try to pay more attention to how long my makeup lasts but it's not something that is uber important to me.

I think this is definitely a foundation for dry skin. I do think it is suitable for all skin types because it's not greasy or slippery on the skin. If you do have oily skin, I recommend heading into your local Sephora or Ulta to test it out before buying.

All in all, I am obsessed with this foundation and it's my go-to every day foundation. It has really turned me onto Becca's complexion products and I'm excited to try more. I'm really curious about the Becca Backlight Priming Filter because everyone raves about it and I think my next Becca purchase will be the Best of Becca kit from Ulta so I can try the primer & one of their blushes.

What is your current favorite foundation?
