If you thought March was slow, April beat you to it. I feel like it has been April for 100 years. It was an exciting month though; lots of fun stuff at work, a few great family get-togethers, and finally the arrival of Spring.

I'm writing this on Saturday afternoon after running hours of errands and it was such a delight because it's so gorgeous outside. Is Spring melting my cold, winter loving heart? It just might!

As we're nearing Summer, I'm starting to think about new clothes and fun summer activities to do. I never do anything in the summer and every year, I vow to do something but it always falls through. Maybe this year will be the year I keep that promise.

I tried a lot of new things this month, from accessories to skincare to beauty and I've been loving a lot of them!

1. Cuvee Beauty Protective Treatment: I ran out of both my detangler/protective sprays this month and I've been meaning to try this Cuvee Beauty one. It's not necessarily a detangler but it gets the job done. I have the entire Cuvee Beauty line which I want to do a post on eventually but the story behind these products is that they are made with Champagne (how awesome?) for better, stronger hair. I've been loving this treatment! In the beginning, I felt like it made my hair a little greasy but that's not the case anymore; I guess it was something else or my hair has gotten used to it. I've been using it all month and my locks feel a little stronger and look better. It's an awesome product!

2. Slip Silk Scrunchies: I saw these everywhere last month and immediately fell in love with them. I love that all the 90s trends are coming back and I'm so into scrunchies being a thing again. Slip is also known for their silk pillowcases being good for your hair so if I was going to buy from anyone, it was Slip. The price is nuts; $40 for 3 scrunchies? It's insane but I had to have them because I'm a sucker. I've been LOVING THEM. I love my Invisibobble scrunchies that don't leave dents in my hair but these are even better. They don't give me a headache, they definitely don't leave dents and they are so comfortable. They are also adorable -- I especially love the pink one, obviously.

3. YSL Card Case: Last month when I got my promotion at work, I treated myself to this gorgeous YSL Card Case. I've been wanting it for years and finally took the leap (I also got a discount from SAKS from one of my friends) and it's awesome. It's large enough to use as a regular wallet with 5 card spaces but is also a little stiff (probably because it's still new). It is so luxurious and feels so nice, I'm pretty obsessed. If you've been wanting one of these, I highly recommend getting your hands on it. It's even better in person and well worth the $250 price tag.

4. St Ives Cleansing Stick: It's not a secret how much I love my Tarte Frixxtion Charcoal Cleansing Stick and I ran out last month. I was going to repurchase but then I remembered that St. Ives had come out with their own cleansing sticks and I had been curious to try them. I've been trying to explore the drugstore a little more and I've found some new gems that are hiding there. These St Ives Cleansing Sticks are just them. I have the honey one and it is so nice. It cleanses your skin and leaves it feeling super fresh. It's not an exfoliator so it doesn't feel the same as the Tarte one but St. Ives does have a charcoal one so I may try that next. If you want to get in on the cleansing stick trend, I highly recommend going with the St. Ives one.

What did you love this month?

Hello there! It feels like it's been a very long month and I usually feel that way about April. I completely didn't realize I forgot my March Favorites post! I was looking for it to refrence and it's not there! This is the first time I've ever missed a favorites!

I'm excited for May (did I just say that) because there's so much going on work wise, I'm going to be very busy. I also like to think of it as if we're one step closer to Summer, we're one step closer to Fall!

When sitting down to think about my April favorites I felt like I didn't have too many but after looking around my room, I realized I did have a nice little amount.

I didn't use too much makeup this month because I spent a lot of time waking up late for work and running out of the house. I did buy a nice amount of makeup from Ulta and the Sephora VIB sale which you can watch in one of my vlogs.

For my favorites, it's a mix of beauty and fashion so let's get right into it!

1. Sephora Collection Almond Lip Balm: I had my eye on the Sephora Collection lip balms for a while and for $6, you can't go wrong. I picked this up in my local Sephora JCP and I have not stopped using it all month long. It's super smooth, nourishing, and doesn't leave any sticky or tacky residue on the lips. They have a bunch of different types which do different things and I highly recommend you check them out!

2. Kate Spade Perfume Collection: I briefly mentioned this set in my fragrance post and on my Instagram but it truly has been my favorite thing this month. I've been wanting Kate Spade perfume for the longest time but always just purchased something else. When I saw this collection, I jumped. I've currently being wearing 'Live Colorfully' all month long and it's the perfect light, airy spring scent!

3. Elizabeth & James Nirvana Black Dry Shampoo: When I saw this dry shampoo come on the market I was less than impressed. What is a perfume brand doing coming out with a dry shampoo? I've been obsessed with my Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo but lately it just hasn't been helping. I watched Kathleen Lights favorites video and she mentioned this so I decided to give it a dry. OMG It's SO GOOD. It's very light and doesnt leave any residue in your hair. The thing I love about this dry shampoo is that I can run my hands through my hair and it's not tough or rough. Does that make sense? I hate when my dry shampoo makes my hair sticky and tough.

4. TopShop Slides: When the slides trend started I was not feeling it but as I saw more people wearing them, they grew on me. I was browsing Nordstorm and saw these TopShop slides which look similar to a pair of Chanel ones and immediately bought them. I've only worn them a handful of times but they're such a great shoe to throw on and run out of the house, and they look good with every outfit. I highly recommend a pair of slides this summer! *The slides are not available at Nordstrom anymore but I love these by TopShop too!

5. Coffee & Couture: This is a company by my new favorite Youtubers (and sisters) Toni & Allie Sevdalis. I started watching them obsessively this month and they are the reason I was inspired to finally start my Youtube channel! Coffee & Couture is their jewelry line and they hand make all the jewelry; after watching I decided to purchase some pieces and I've been LOVING them! I've mostly been wearing and loving the evil eye rings. I highly suggest checking them out; the jewelry is high quality and super adorable. I've been loving danity jewelry and this website is feeding my obsession!

Have a great day everyone :)

April has been a long, crazy month. It's the first month after the whirlwind that was losing my dad, and a lot more has happened.

My family and I have to move from our house, (which means a lot of interior design posts coming soon), and I traveled for work twice. This weekend, I got back from Pennsylvania where I was at QVC. I've talked about this before but for my brand, around every 4 months, there is a huge show on QVC called the Today Special Value and I go down with my coworkers and basically stay up for over 24 hours and tweet, take photos, etc.

It's a huge deal for everyone and it's honestly really exciting. It's exhausting but it exhilarating at the same time.

I got home Saturday and on a wind of spontaneity, my friends who are still in college, called me to come up. I got dressed super fast and running on 8 hours of sleep (from Thursday-Saturday), went out with my friends and lived like a college student for a night. It's home for me and I always feel like myself when I'm in my college town and with my friends.

All that being said, I ended April on a fantastic note. April was filled with highs and lows, but there was plenty of room for favorites!

1. YSL Touche Eclat Limited Edition: Concealers are my obsession and this is the top dog. I've been meaning to buy this forever but with a $42 price tag, I've hesitated. Well, when I saw this limited edition "I Am Not a Morning Person" version, and it was 10% off at Nordstrom, I bit the bullet. I love this! The packaging is perfection, and the product inside is even better. I use it with my other concealers to add a brightening effect and it really makes a difference. I feel more awake when I apply this and I'm scared because now that I love it, I'll always want it. Sorry, bank account.

2. Belvita Breakfast Biscuits: Is this weird? I don't care! I want to include non beauty favorites as much as possible. I've had an obsession with these bad boys for the past few months but I don't know, this month I was just feeling them. They fill me up as if I've eaten a huge breakfast in the morning and I'm grateful for that. I need breakfast the moment I wake up and these are great to keep in my bag or at my desk. My favorite flavor is Golden Oat and they're so tasty for a morning breakfast.

3. The Selection Series: A few weeks ago, I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't sleep. I thought I'd read a little to put myself back to sleep. Well, I ended up staying up till 7 AM and read 3 full books, start to finish. Those books were The Selection series that I've been meaning to read for the past year or so. I won't go into too much detail because I want to do a Book Review Wednesday post but this is a definite favorite!

4. Halogen Shoes: I hate buying shoes, especially for Spring but that has all changed. While looking on the Nordstrom website I discovered my new favorite shoes. Halogen is a great Nordstrom brand that I've bought in the past but their studded heels & flats are my new favorite. They're super comfortable and so stylish without being too trendy. I hate heels so much but these are incredible. They fit great and are really comfortable. I want them in every.single.color & I might just do that.

These are just a few of my favorites, but take a look below to see what else I loved.

What did you love in the month of April?

April went very slow and very fast. A lot happened...and I mean A LOT! It was a very emotional month, for good and bad reasons. I went through a lot, one chapter of my life ended and I began a new, very real one.

Because so much happened, it felt like it took an eternity to get through. Yet, at the same time, it felt like the days were flying by, especially in my first two weeks of work (aka the last two weeks of April)

Anyways, I won't ramble because I've done that enough in my previous posts and I have a post grad update coming up soon!

I've been in my own world this entire month so these favorites may be all over the place but let's just get right into it.

Kate Spade Sunglasses: I got these glasses last month and haven't been wearing anything else. I haven't had a good pair of sunglasses in quite some time and I knew I needed a new pair. They were a VERY late Christmas gift (LOL) and I forget sometimes that I can wear sunglasses in seasons other than summer. I wear them pretty much whenever I leave the house and I'm pretty obsessed. Here are a similar pair!

LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub: I've been on the hunt for a great lip scrub for months now. The winter really took a toll on my skin (as I've talked about so many times before) and my lips were pretty bad. That's why I'm so glad I stumbled into LUSH Cosmetics and found this precious little jar at the register. I use it a few times a week, just scrub it on dry lips and then wipe off with a dry towel, apply some lip balm, and my lips are smooth and supple. It's been a lifesaver!

Boscia Exfoliating Peel Gel: I got this as a deluxe sample from a Sephora order last month but I've fallen in love with it. It's a gel consistency that you rub on your clean face and it breaks up all the dead skin. You can actually see the dead skin coming off your face so it's pretty gross and cool, at the same time. I've been doing this once a week as a treatment, and especially when my skin is extra dry and moisturizer isn't helping. It's great for bringing a new, fresh layer of skin to the surface and I notice a real difference when I use this.

Audible: I don't know if this is a cheat favorite since I've only been using it for two weeks but I'm obsessed so I must include it. I'm a huge book worm and I've always loved reading. I never understood the appeal of audiobooks because I like to be able to read and hold an actual book (or e-reader) and I thought it would be hard to follow the story, but that has all changed. I downloaded the Audible app (Audible is powered by Amazon and linked to your Amazon account) and downloaded a free audiobook & fell in love. I listened to "Girl on the Train" (review coming soon) and loved the feel of listening to a story, so I bought another book. It's so relaxing and calming, and I love listening to them on the train as opposed to music. I'm officially a convert.

Soap & Glory Hand Food Hand Cream: This is a product that I have had in my Sephora favorites for over a year. Finally, all of the Soap & Glory products were on sale at Sephora because they are no longer carrying the line and this little gem cost me $4. I bought it with the body butter(which I haven't used yet) but this hand cream is a Godsend. It smells amazing and is so soothing, moisturizing, and not greasy at all. I have a lot of hand creams but this is the only one I've been using of late.

As I always say, I need to keep track of my favorites more throughout the month and not just think about when it's time to write this post. I have to say, I've been using so many new make-up products lately so I don't have anything that has been used continuously.

Another favorite of mine....

There's a new little princess!!!!!! Did you really think I would go without addressing this?? I'm SO happy the Royal Family has welcomed a little girl... can you imagine the little outfits Kate is going to dress her in? PRECIOUS!

Happy May everyone :)
