I cannot believe we are halfway through November. I cannot believe Thanksgiving is next week, and my birthday is in two weeks. Time is going too fast and I'm trying to not let it get to me, but it's always in the back of my mind.
I have been working on trying to focus on the present, do things that are good for me, and just be mindful of where my mind is on a daily basis. I have not felt like myself in a really long time and I think I came to the realization this week that maybe I'm not like myself because I'm changing... and maybe I'm beating myself up over nothing and should try to embrace the change.
We're also coming to the time of year where I do a lot of reflecting, and also have a lot of days off from work, so I'm hoping some break time will help me gain some clarity.
The weekend before Thanksgiving is always kind of exciting; we're preparing for the feast, I'm happy to have some time off of work, the sales are plenty, and life feels good. This weekend I'll be doing some stuff around the house, helping my mom prep for Thursday and then going with my sister into the city to do Christmas stuff, like the Bryant Park Winter Village. I'm very excited!
Make sure to be following me on Instagram and TikTok to follow along on my city adventures.
Let's get into the post!
