I'm always in search of a better product; to me, I am never satisified with the beauty products I have. Do not get me wrong, I have my favorites and items that blow me away, but I know there are always new things that are being released and I just assume they're better than what I have... which is why I'm always buying new products.

While I have holy grail foundations, concealers, etc, there is one beauty product that I'm just not convinced that I've found the right one.

That item is Dry Shampoo.

I've tried really good dry shampoos and really bad ones. I've used dry shampoo for months, been pleased, and then one day it just feels like it's not working anymore. I've used dry shampoos that I know are bad right off the bat.

While I do have my favorites, I'm always searching for the next best thing.

That's why I was so excited to receive a Dry Shampoo VoxBox from Influenster. I received the Nexxus Dry Shampoo Refreshing Mist; I LOVE Nexxus because they're sold in the drugstore but have that high end feel; even though the products do come with a higher price tag, I am more drawn to these products.

I had a feeling that I would really enjoy this dry shampoo & so far, I was right.

The mist is very fine so I feel like I have more control over how much product I'm putting into my hair. I never go crazy with the dry shampoo because my scalp is very sensitive and I don't like too much product build up.

Nexxus claims that it removes oils from your roots without leaving visible residue, which I can attest for. It's completely invisible and not heavy at all on your hair. Sometimes I can feel the dry shampoo minutes after I put it in my hair, or when I touch my hair, it feels greasy.

This Nexxus one does not do any of that .

It also smells like a Bath and Body Works candle without being overpowering and I'm kind of obsessed.

As for right now, I really like this dry shampoo and I think I will be repurchasing after this HUGE bottle is done. I would also say this is better than some high end dry shampoos I've tried!

What is your current favorite dry shampoo?

I haven't gotten a VoxBox from Influenster in the longest time and I've been patiently waiting my turn. Finally the moment has arrived and I think this was a pretty great VoxBox to receive.

First, let me ask--are you utterly confused as to what a VoxBox is and what Influenster is? Well, Influenster is a platform that connects to all your social channels and calculates a score based on your following and activity. They take that score into consideration and Influenster will send boxes of free products or VoxBoxes that they encourage you to review and share on social media.

You can also raise your score by reviewing products on Influenster's website and earning badges. You know dam well I have the beauty queen badge in my arsenal.

Because of that, I usually get beauty VoxBoxes, and like I said, I haven't gotten one in a while.

I recently got an email saying I was eligible for a VoxBox and to take a survey seeing if I was the right choice. It was all about skincare so I knew that I was going to get a skincare box and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw in my inbox that I was receiving a St. Ives Holiday VoxBox.

I love St. Ives -- it's one of the first cleansers I've used and I'm always up for getting new skincare products from the drugstore.

The package was left in the rain on my doorstep so I don't have the beautiful green, holiday
box the items came in!
I got the box last week and have been loving everything. I received Refresh & Revive Peach Nectar & Soy Body Lotion, the Even & Bright Pink Lemon & Mandarin Orange Body Wash, and the Nourish & Soothe Oatmeal Scrub & Mask.

All of these items smell amazing, especially the body wash. I cannot wait to use it!! The body lotion smells amazing and is super smooth and hydrating, but I expect nothing less from St. Ives.

By far my favorite product and the product I was most excited for was the Oatmeal Scrub & Mask. I've been wanting this for months but never picked it up (unsure why) and was so thrilled when it was in the box.

I think it's such a unique idea to have a two in one product that could be used as a scrub but also as a mask. I immediately tried this out and was really pleased with it. It's not a harsh exfoliate and it really foams up on the skin. It left my skin smooth and supple and I think this will work great as a face mask.

I love Influenster and I love getting the chance to try out great products that I know I'm going to love, like the St. Ives line.

Do you use Influenster? What was the last VoxBox you scored?

I'll admit that I've been having trouble with my hair lately. The winter always brings out the worst because I have very dry skin and that translates to a very dry scalp. I usually use a dry scalp formula and it's always worked well for me but I think now, it's making my hair oily.

I have never suffered from oiliness or greasiness because my hair is so thick and coarse. Probably within the past 6 months, I've noticed my hair feeling weighed down after a few days of not washing it. I don't think it's ever as bad as someone with naturally oily, thin hair but for me, it feels dirty more quickly.

Because of all of this, I've been looking for a new shampoo/conditioner combination. I never spend a lot of money on my hair care nor am I too picky about what I use.

That is until now...

When I got an email that I was receiving the Dessange Oleo Miracle Treatment VoxBox, I was super excited. I was really interested to see what I was getting since I've never heard of Dessange hair products before and knew it was time for a change.

The VoxBox came with the Replenishing Shampoo, Replenishing Conditioner, and Replenishing Oil and they all looked so fancy and smelled good so I was really excited to try them.

Spoiler alert: I'M HOOKED.

My sister is hooked as well and I almost didn't let her use any of it because I wanted all the products for myself. We agreed we'd go buy more from Target when we ran out.

#HolyGrail right here.

The products are made with three oils: Argan, Camelia, and Pracaxi. It also has notes of orange, gardenia petals, and sandalwood and is specially made for damaged and over-processed hair, which is the definition of my hair (and my sister's).

Even with all the oils infused into these bad boys, it doesn't weigh my hair down. After using, my hair feels stronger, healthier, and looks shiner. After styling, my hair was super soft and felt like I had just left the salon... and honestly, that's exactly what these products smell like. They smell like a hair salon, which is always a plus because you know you've got the good stuff on hand.

Excuse the ridiculous selfies but I needed to show how these products do their thing!
But yeah, my hair is super shiny!
You were definitely able to see a noticeable difference in my hair after the first use and anything that gives me immediately results like that is good in my book.

I was a bit more hesitant to use the oil because products like this scare me. I never put argan or mocorran oil in my hair because, despite me having thick hair, I still always feel like it makes my hair dirtier faster. I've stayed away from oils for a while and stick to my styling or finishing cremes.

I knew I had to give it a try and my goodness, I'm glad I did. It's really lightweight and honestly, the littlest bit goes a long way. I put this in (almost) everyday to make my hair shiner, hold the style, and tame my frizz. It works like a charm and I feel like I'll have this big bottle for a while.

I'm really glad I got this VoxBox because it opened my eyes to a new world of hair care. I never buy matching sets so I probably would've never picked this up in the store but I finally found something that works at taming my crazy mane of horse hair.

What hair products do you swear by and could never be without? Tell me in the comments!

"I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes."
Influenster is really such a great resource and website. It's a resource in the sense that you can log on and look up reviews of pretty much every single product in the universe. The other side of Influenster is that you have the chance to win free stuff!

VoxBoxes are Influenster's speciality which are curated boxes of items, anything from food to beauty. I've received VoxBoxes in the past but I was really excited to qualify for another one. It's been a little while since I received a curated box—back in June I was eligible for a Victoria Secrets Sport VoxBox which was awesome but I always appreciate fun products!

The Frosty VoxBox is perfect for the holidays and all the winter fun you'll have. Between beauty, hair, and food, you can't ask for anything better.

I was really excited to receive it and waited patiently for the mailman to drop this off at my front door. I got it a few weeks back but wanted to try some products before posting my review.

The box felt and looked kind of light, compared to my first VoxBox but it wasn't much of a disappointment. I was still really happy to have all these products to try out.

Here's what was inside my Frosty VoxBox:

//Boots No7 Protect and Perfect Serum: This was a foil packet and I haven't used it yet but it's for your hair so I'll be trying it soon!

//Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover: This was a really generous size product that I wasn't expecting at all. I never use makeup remover, only wipes, but this is really great. I would've never bought this if I saw it in the store but I'm glad I have it. It really gets rid of all your eye makeup and makes for smoother skin.

//Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner: At first glance this is a regular black eyeliner but my goodness, it's incredible. I've never tried Rimmel eyeliners but I've heard great things. This is hands down the creamiest, smoothest, blackest eyeliner I have ever tried. It's a regular pencil eyeliner but so pigmented, you would think it's a liquid. I'm obsessed and have been wearing nothing else.

Swatches of the eyeliner and NYC Sugarplum
//NYC Expert Last Lip Color in Sugarplum: I tried one of these from my last VoxBoxes in the spring and I was obsessed. This shade though, oh my goodness, I'm obsessed. It's the color I've been wearing nonstop all season and I'm glad to have another great option. It's super creamy, moisturizing and pigmented. It's not super pigmented like a true lipstick which makes for easy application and wear.

//Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Decaf Green Tea: I'm obsessed with tea and I always want to try new flavors but I'm always skeptical...also tea is really expensive. I was so glad to have a small sample of a holiday tea. It's delicious and not too strong; also I love that it's decaf since I could have it late at night while watching Christmas movies.

//Fruit Vines Bites: These taste like Twizzlers but even better. They were gone within an hour, inhaled by me and my mom. They were so fruity and chewy, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

//McCormick Gourmet Thyme: This was a huge bottle, obviously full size, and a little odd. I mean, I know it's the holidays so people are using smokey spices such as this one and it can be used a variety of different ways but I won't use this. My mom will so it's a nice addition.

//EcoTools Hair Brush: I didn't even know EcoTools made hair brushes but this was a great addition to the box. I never use round brushes and the ones my mom has are really old and worn out so it's nice to have a brand new one. I used this while blow drying my hair and it was easier than ever. It's a light brush and has spaces in-between the bristles so it makes air flow better, drying your hair faster.

This box was truly filled with great holiday items. From the makeup and beauty products to help you style a holiday look to the fruit vines to make it sweet, the thyme to make it warm and the tea to top it all off with relaxation.

This was such a great surprise and another reason I truly love Influenster. Join Influenster to review products and a chance to win VoxBoxes in the future!

I've been using Influenster for quite a number of months now and I finally received my first VoxBox. Influenster is a community for online "trendsetters" where you sign up with an invitation and are able to take surveys, quizzes, and leave reviews on all types of products and services.

The more you share, the higher your Influenster score gets and the more influential you are, you earn the ability to get a VoxBox. A VoxBox is a box sponsored by a company or brand filled with goodies that influensters receive to review.

I was given the chance to receive the Colgate SlimSoft VoxBox which came with a new Colgate toothbrush, the SlimSoft and two other Colgate goodies, a mini toothpaste and mouthwash.

The toothbrush that I received is one of the softest brushes I've ever used. It is a simple tooth brush, nothing crazy and it is a little smaller than I like but it's pretty wonderful.

I've been using it the past few days and it has completely replaced my old toothbrush. The Colgate toothpaste and mouth wash were also nice surprises and wonderful.

Altogether, I was really happy with my first VoxBox and I'm looking forward to receiving another one, whenever that may be!

If you're interested in Influenster, leave your email address in a blog comment and I'll send you an invite :)
