October was gone in a flash and I don't know how I feel about it. I was so busy this month that I don't think I was fully able to relish in the best '-ber' month of all. I did some fall things, like watch Hocus Pocus every single day (including when on three plane rides),  I hosted my friends for our annual fall girls night, baked fall cookies and used all my fall themed items, like Pumpkin Spice hand sanitizer and my Hocus Pocus Stoney Clover pouch.

The weather in New York agreed with the calendar changing and we had some decent fall weather. I think only a few days over the last few weeks were hot, making it feel like August instead of October so I'll take it! Before the month is over, I plan to bake some pumpkin bread and indulge in a few more fall scented candles.

October was a fun, busy month as I've mentioned 100 times over the course of the last few blog posts. I started it off in California for a work trip, my sister got engaged, I had countless family parties from birthdays, baptisms, and weddings. I went to Florida, saw Taylor Swift in concert, and had fun with friends. It really was one of the most exciting months I've had in a while and truthfully, it all went swimmingly.

I didn't have any anxiety freak outs related to travel or being busy; in fact, it was the opposite. I found myself feeling oddly calm with a packed calendar which makes me think that I need to be doing more things to feel calmer. What an odd feeling!

My shopping was at a minimum in October which is always a positive but that doesn't mean I don't have some new favorites to add to my list.

Let's get into it!

Summer Fridays Hot Coco Lip Butter Balm

Whenever a seasonal lip balm is released, my ears start ringing. There is nothing I love more than a cozy, cold weather themed lip balm and Summer Fridays delivered. They released the Hot Coco lip balm earlier this month and I immediately bought it. I didn't even hesitate because I could never have too much lip balm. Summer Fridays is my favorite formula and the Hot Coco scent is divine. It's very milky on the lips, so you get a tint of color & a lot of shine, and the scent is so good! It smells just like hot chocolate mix and it's been on my lips every day for the past few weeks.

Gel Manicures

You may have noticed that I haven't written a Manicure Monday post in a long time... and that's because I've spent the month of October with two different gel manicures on my nails. Because I had so much going on, I really needed my nails to be in tip top shape so I headed to my local salon and got my first gel manicure in maybe like 10 years. I loved having freshly manicured nails for weeks and not having to worry about them chipping or looking weathered. I do not love the removal process, and my nails are super brittle and sad at the moment but I really love the effect of a gel manicure. Good thing Olive & June just released their gel manicure system...

Kate Spade Jolie Crossbody

I've been loving mini bags lately and have been shopping my own collection to spark some joy. When packing for Florida, I knew I wanted something tiny and chic that would match everything & fit what I needed. Enter my Kate Spade Jolie Crossbody bag in black. I got it last year for Christmas and while I've used it a handful of times, this was the first time I was truly test driving it and it definitely works. The chunky gold chain adds a touch of glam while the black crossbody strap is functional, and the shape lends itself to be something more special than a normal crossbody. I used it in the airport and as my night bag while in Florida and it was perfect. It fit all I needed (more than I thought it would) and it looked so pretty. It's definitely a new favorite!

What did you love this month?
