It's the first round up of the new year! It was a a solid week of 2024; I didn't go back to work until Wednesday so the adjustment took a minute but I am happy to be back in a true routine. Next week will be even better since I'll be back in the office.
I will say though that it was so nice to have a good chunk of time off. I spent a lot of time at home, getting things done, enjoying every moment of the holiday season and reflecting on the past year. I was so refreshed and rejuvenated afterwards and saw how important it is to have extended periods of time off.
Throughout the year I usually just take a day or two in a row off, if I'm not going on vacation (which I rarely do) so I think one of my 'resolutions' this year will be to take more 'staycations' to give myself that much needed refreshed feeling.
This weekend will be spent with friends and family, and just trying to do whatever I have to do...as usual.
