My hair has been a mess lately. If we're being honest, it's been a mess my entire life. I've said before how my hair is curly, frizzy, and very unruly. Because of this, I am always on the search for something new and exciting -- a product that will blow the socks off of me and change my hair.

I did a post like this last summer but I've since found different products that work just as well. Lately, my hair has felt fried, dry, and stiff so the following products have been helping me keep that feeling at bay.




1. Ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil: I've always been very honest with my love of all things rose scented so when I got this in the Vogue x Birchbox Limited Edition box, I was thrilled. I'm always in the market for a new oil and this one really helps to moisturize my hair and to tame the frizz and fly aways. I also love how this is a travel size because I keep it in my work bag for when the humidity gets a little crazy when I'm on my commute. I don't use oil in my hair when it's wet because I feel like it makes my hair a tad bit too greasy but after it's styled, I always finish off with this oil. *I have yet to try it on my body but I'm sure it's fabulous.

2. Ouai Wave Spray: I don't think I talked about this last summer but I really should've. I alternated between this and the Bumble and Bumble Don't Blow It cream, but I think I might like this more. When I'm   rocking curly hair, I will spray this in wet hair and then sleep on it. I wake up in the morning with full, soft curls and waves. It doesn't leave my hair oily, greasy, or stiff -- it's so good. I have been loving everything I've tried from Ouai and I really want to try more because the products are SO GOOD.

3. Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask: I can't tell you how many of these I've gone through. I have consistently using deep conditioners and hair masks as a regular conditioner for years now and this I think has been my favorite. It has a wonderful price tag of $11-$14 depending on if it's on sale at Ulta, and it take a while to go through. It's very thick, very hydrating, but does not weigh down your hair. It leaves my hair very smooth, shiny, and perfectly conditioned.

4. Drybar Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler: Drybar is still one of my favorite hair brands and I still have a lot of their products (and need to buy their newer products) but this is a must-have for me. It's so good my sister kept stealing it from me, and my bottle is now finished. I need to buy more and I'm thinking me not using this is why my hair has felt weird lately. Anyways... it's a hair primer and detangler that you spray in before brushing your wet hair, and before styling. It has heat protectant and hydrates the hair, while also strengtehning it. I can 100% attest to all of these claims. It's such a stand out product and now holds the spot for my #1 hair primer.

I love a good beauty trend: highlighting, contouring, and everything in between. I love a good skincare treatment, or anything that will help make my skin better.

That's why, when I saw that lip oils were about to become a hot trend late last year, I got really excited. I was skeptical at first because the thought of slathering an oil on my lips wasn't enticing. After doing a little more research, lip oils are a mixture of a balm, a gloss, and an actual oil. They have great hydrating properties, keep your lips smooth and soft, but don't feel thick and slimy on your lips like some lip balms.

I have found that lip oils give a great tint to the lips and are a good alternative to lip gloss, or a tinted lip balm. The staying power is better than you would expect from an oil and they don't feel sticky on your lips. I actually prefer these over lip balms because they feel like they're actually doing something.

If you were hesitant to try lip oils, I promise you, you won't regret it. A lot of brands have been coming out with lip oils recently and I've tried to get my hands on as many as possible, because like I said, I have a slight addiction. I keep one in every makeup bag/purse and usually rely on these when I'm out and about instead of a lip balm.

I don't necessarily think I like any of these over another one -- they're all easy to apply and similar in consistency. I will say that the Hourglass is slightly thicker than the rest, and the thinnest formula is definitely the Sephora brand.

The Sephora brand was the first one I tried and it really set the bar for all the other lip oils. My favorite one, if I had to choose, is probably the YSL because it's the perfect combination of hydration, shininess, and consistency on the lips.

Have you ever tried a lip oil? What are your thoughts?

I have never been a huge lip lover. I'm not drawn to lipsticks as I am other beauty products, like concealers. Lipsticks, glosses, none of it used to intrigue me.

And then, all of a sudden, one day I woke up with 100 different lip products (not actually 100) ranging from lip scrubs to liquid lipsticks and everything in between.

I love them all, pretty much equally. There are some lipstick formulas I prefer over others, some lip balms I love to death, and there are certain brands of liquid lipsticks that I will only purchase.

However, I switch them up on the daily. Some days I'm feeling a tinted lip balm and the next day I am Kylie Jenner with my matte liquid lips. I do not discriminate... until now.

I have found a lip product so incredible that it deserved it own blog post. YUP-- I don't think I've ever done this before.

I've developed a love affair with Smith & Cult as a brand, but that is no secret from my many Manicure Mondays including their nail polishes. Last year I realized that the brand also made lip glosses, which I enjoyed enough to wear continually.

A few months ago I saw on their Instagram page that they had two different color lip stains. Lip stains seem like an old school idea, especially this day in age where there are liquid lipsticks, transforming glosses and lip oils. I was intrigued and looked for them online-- the only place I could find them were Neiman Marcus, a retailer I have never shopped before.




I put off the purchase for weeks and weeks, until recently where I had the sudden urge to try something new. I took the plunge, ordered Linger Sigh, and the rest is history.

I don't really know what I was expecting but it was love at first sight. The stain is not sticky like a gloss, feels like a balm, and has a slight tingly sensation. It has the ever slightest hint of color that actually does stain your lips, but not in the "get this stuff off of me, I look like a clown" kind of way.

It is a very unique product, something I have never seen on the market before.



Linger Sigh is supposed to be the nude shade, wile Sweet Suite is the more pinkish color of the two shades. Maybe someone mixed up the labels, because you can clearly see, it is pink.

I think this is the perfect everyday lip color/product, especially on those days when you don't want to think about what to put on. If you're having a true no makeup makeup day, but want something on your lips, this is your product. Sometimes I feel like wearing a slight lip color but feel silly slapping on a bright pink matte lip when my face is bare.

This solves that problem in one swipe.

I am truly obsessed and addicted and will never be without this product. At some point, I will buy the 2nd shade and I pray that Smith & Cult releases more shades!
