Chanel bags have always been my end goal in life. I know that sounds insane but I am a materialistic, girly girl and I grew up salivating over designer items. No one in my life has ever had a Chanel bag until I got older; my aunt has one, a few of my friends had one and of course, every influencer and celebrity under the sun has one.

I remember learning about all the design houses, admiring Chanel from afar, not thinking I would ever be able to afford one. Granted, I still cannot afford a brand new Chanel bag but I'll get to that.

I used to dream about what kind of bag I would get first; of course, it would be black and it would be a classic silhouette. I didn't know when the time would come where I would be able to purchase one but I knew that eventually, I was going to own one.

Chanel was always the goal; it was what I've been working toward and as shallow as it sounds, it was a milestone I wanted to complete.

Last week I posted my 'How I Purchase Pre-Loved Luxury' guide but now, I think it's a good idea to talk about how I purchase off eBay.

I mentioned in that post that eBay is my favorite place to shop for pre-loved luxury items, mostly because you can get the most bang for your buck, you're super protected if anything goes wrong, and I've learned how to shop there.

At first, I was apprehensive about shopping on eBay because you hear horror stories and mostly because eBay has a reputation for not being reliable. That is so not true! eBay has come such a long way and if you know how to shop the site, you'll have a great experience!

How to Shop on eBay

Pay attention to people's ratings

If someone has a 0% rating do not buy from them! Especially if the price + product looks too good to be true. I've come across so many good deals only to see that someone has a nonexistent rating and that usually means its a fake account.

Go with your gut

If something doesn't look right about a listing or a bag, get it authenticated. There are so many online authenticators that cost $5 and are very trusted in the luxury community. You can send them the link and within 24 hours you have written proof if something is real or fake.

Use Paypal

I always use Paypal when shopping on eBay and try to use it wherever I shop if it's an option. eBay protects its buyers very well so if something goes wrong, you can get your money back but I just feel like Paypal adds that extra layer of protection.

It's not just luxury

Yes, I mostly use eBay for luxury items from Louis Vuitton but I've gotten so many amazing deals on contemporary brands like Kate Spade and Tory Burch. When I want something that isn't available in stores anymore or just wants a deal on, I turn to eBay. I just got my new Kate Spade mini backpack from eBay for around 50% off the retail price and it was new with tags! If you want to try your hand at eBay buying, try something less expensive and less of an investment!

eBay Authenticators

eBay has made strides in the past year or so to offer the best of the best to their customers and to earn your trust in the buying process. That's why they've introduced eBay Authenticators which provides you with certified authentic handbags. eBay has authenticated all the bags so you can purchase safely knowing everything is real -- no guessing games here! You aren't dealing with individual sellers but eBay themselves so it provides an extra layer of safety which is great. If you're iffy about buying from eBay, try the Authenticators because it's similar to buying from sites like Fashionphile and The Real Real.

Have you ever purchased anything from eBay? What was your experience?

This is a sponsored post but all opinions are my own

From May-June, the only thing on people's mines are graduations. There is always someone in the family, one of your friends, or someone you know that is graduating high school or college. Both are incredible milestones (I would know) and these celebrations really call for something special.

Special celebrations call for special gifts and if you are anything like me, you had no idea what to buy or ask for. There are so many different ways you could go with buying a graduation gift and sometimes the decision is more difficult that one would like.

Thankfully, there are a lot of solutions out there for deciding and purchasing a graduation present.

Ebay.com is not a place where one immediately thinks to go for purchasing any type of gift. I feel that Ebay sometimes gets a bad rep because it's usually seller to seller and the items are used but in their defense, I always shop on Ebay and I love it.

You find the best deals on there and I've bought clothes, accessories, and everything in between. I've even sold some stuff and it's really something everyone should look into.

Not everything on Ebay is used though, they have new items as well. It's just like any other store but made simpler.

Ebay has made shopping for your grad even easier with their #GiftsforGradGuide. It's a special, easy to access collection that has everything from dresses to wallets to computers, especially designed for the graduate of your choice.

I went onto Ebay and from the #GiftsforGradGuide, created my own two guides that I thought would fit perfectly well for what PostGrad life entails.

My first collection is located here and includes everything from neon sneakers to a DSLR camera. The possibilities are endless!

Also in my collection, I feature two handbags--Michael Kors and Kate Spade. I think this is the number one gift for a post grad lady. There is nothing better than the smell of new leather and a sleek style for your first ladyboss job. Starting fresh with a new tote that will carry everything you need while at work is the perfect gift.

I also created a second collection, one for the guys. I never tap into a guy market because I know my audience is mostly ladies. In this collection, there are a lot of electronics such as touchscreen computers and flat screen televisions because I feel like guys really love technology in a different way than girls. Boys are really difficult to buy gifts for so I thought why not; Ebay made it easy enough!

I picked out the best gifts that I thought would be appreciated and useful to recent male graduates. What guy is going to say no to a beautiful watch? Most of my guy friends adore watches so a designer watch would be the ideal gift.

Even though they shouldn't, most 20 something guys love their video games so a PS4 is something valuable to them that they would love and cherish.

Ebay is doing something fun for all readers out there; they're hosting a sweepstakes to win $500 to spend on Ebay.

“Create your own #GiftsForGrad collection and enter for a chance to win $500 to shop on eBay.” Link to: www.ebay.com/celebratecollections (sweeps ends June 15, 2014)

What is your experience with Ebay? What do you think is the ideal graduation gift? Tell me in the comments!
