The shortest month of the year is over and honestly, it feels like it was super long. I'm not ready to say goodbye to winter but realistically, it probably won't warm up for another few months.

The entire month feels like a little bit of a blur; I saw some friends and accomplished a few things but truthfully, it was a really low time for me. I was having daily panic attacks, feeling nervy every morning and night and just overall felt unlike myself. I think I'm starting to come out of it which is good since the next few months are going to be busy and social.

As I've mentioned before, I was trying to do a low-buy year but this month I failed epically. I just couldn't do it; I was too anxious and stressed to not use shopping as a coping mechanism so I've come to love a few new items.

Here's what I loved this month - some new, some old but all perfect.

Kindle Paperwhite

I've had a Kindle for a few years and have gone back and forth with how I like it. I always preferred my Nooks more but since I've been receiving more ARCs to read early, I was using my Kindle more and more. I figured it was time to invest in a new one since mine was a few years old, it was working pretty slowly and Amazon just released a new Kindle Paperwhite.

I didn't have the Paperwhite and didn't really understand the difference between a regular Kindle and the Paperwhite... until I got one in my hands.

Oh wow... what a huge difference! The screen is big, the processor is faster than the speed of life and the screen is more sensitive to touch. I have never had an e-reader like this and now I see what I've been missing. I have to stop myself from only reading on my Kindle versus my Nook since I have so many books between the two.

I will probably do a focused review on the Kindle and I might want to upgrade my Nook and then do another Kindle vs Nook post.

PS: I now have an Amazon storefront and you can shop the Kindle there and a lot of my favorite books!

Louis Vuitton Desk Agenda

I purchased my dream item at the beginning of January and it was in my hands by the end of the month - Poshmark Authentication services are so cool (post soon!) and I have been loving it. It's exactly what I envisioned it to be after wanting it for so many years. I decided to use it as my blog agenda and I have a notebook and planner nestled inside. It's really nice to have a designated place to plan and brainstorm, and it looks so sleek on my desk. Because I am me, I will obviously switch things up in this agenda for years to come but I can't believe she is finally mine!

Summer Fridays Lip Butter Lip Balm

As the temperatures continue to drop, my lips continue to need as much help they could get. I've talked about the Summer Fridays lip balm before but ever since I upgraded to the new packaging and tried the Vanilla Beige shade, I've been even more obsessed. The formula isn't too heavy but you can feel it sink in and nourish your lips. It doesn't feel sticky or tacky and even though it does a great job at hydrating, it's not messy or thick.

It's so easy to put on now versus the old packaging and I'm obsessed with the Vanilla Beige shade. It gives you the slightest tint without looking like a true lip gloss. If you haven't tried these balms yet, run to Sephora and get one. It's hands down one of the best lip balms I've ever used.

JVN Complete Nourishing Hair Oil

Hair oil isn't something I use a lot because I always feel like it's going to make my scalp itchy and my hair greasy. However, this month, my hair was all kinds of wacky and I really needed to hydrate it. It felt so dull, dry and damaged. I stopped my birth control pill (more on that soon) and my hormones were out of whack, and that affected my hair deeply. After purchasing the JVN scalp oil, I decided to try the hair oil. I was reading reviews, looking at all different types and felt like this was probably what I was looking for. Well, I was right. This is such a lightweight oil that doesn't weigh down your hair nor leave behind a greasy, wet looking residue. It gives my hair the perfect amount of moisture while making it shine to the high heavens. I'm obsessed and it's the best way to bring my hair together.

What did you love this month?
