My first memory of making S'mores was at my family's summer house in Long Island. My cousins and I would look forward to the nighttime when we would gather around the firepit their great grandfather built every night we were there. Our parents helped us roast marshmallows and put together the S'mores and it is just such an amazing memory I have.

S'mores are freaking delicious. I don't find them too sweet or too much-- they're perfect and after one or two, you're satisfied.

This delectable, three-ingredient dessert isn't the healthiest nor is it easy to make when you don't have access to a firepit/fireplace. Despite that, I've found a 'healthier' way to make your favorite summer dessert-- no fire required.

Ingredients:

Points Value:

  • Smashmallows are mostly 1 point (on Blue) for 1 marshmallow
  • 1/8 of most Lilly's Chocolate Bars are 2 points - you won't need too much chocolate
  • 1 graham cracker sheet (broken in half) is 2 points
While one S'more will probably cost you around 5 points, it's a sweet treat that will have you feeling like you're indulging in something really fattening

To assemble your S'more, it's very simple: graham cracker, chocolate, marshmallow, and then microwave for 30 seconds. Once the chocolate is soft, place your other graham cracker on top and enjoy! I definitely recommend keeping a close eye on the marshmallow in the microwave because it will expand and might explode.

I have made these S'mores a lot in the past and it satisfies all my sweet tooth cravings and it's also something fun and different than ice cream or a low-point snack.

I hope you have a happy National S'mores Day and enjoy something tasty!
