I write this as I lay in my dark bedroom, with a rainy ambiance Youtube video on my television, and horrible tooth pain. I got three wisdom teeth pulled on Tuesday (I had one removed a few years ago because it had a cavity) and I am spent.

The procedure was fine; I was a nervous wreck and started crying in the chair as they put the oxygen mask on me but with IV sedation, I fell asleep immediately and before I knew it, I was awake. I did, however, wake up mid-procedure which was my biggest fear but was warned beforehand that it might happen. It wasn't as scary as I thought.

Tuesday was weird; I felt gross and drowsy, with a mouth full of blood... I legit looked like I could be a cast member of The Vampire Diaries which made me laugh. Wednesday was slightly better and I had stopped bleeding though I couldn't eat anything but mashed potatoes and some ice cream. I was starting to feel nauseos and weak.

Then, Thursday, I felt worse. The pain was still very manageable with prescription-strength ibuprofen but my mouth feels so weird. I have no appetite despite being hungry and can't eat anything that has a harder texture than scrambled eggs and pasta. It's so uncomfortable, my mouth smells bad and I feel beside myself.

I've been laying in bed for three days and starting to feel stir crazy but I don't have the energy to do anything. Thankfully, today is my last day of work at my current job and I have a week off for full recovery before starting my new one which I'm excited about.

For now, I will continue to lay in bed with reruns of The Nanny playing on HBO Max and an ice pack on my face.

Pink Positivity of the Week

Is it positive that I haven't moved from bed? It does feel good to be forced to relax and not move much so I guess that is the bright side of things.
