Hello again. This week kind of flew by yet was slow at the same time and I never got a chance to write another blog post after scheduling my October favorites. The week truly got away from me.

Halloween was so cute; we had a party & costume contest at work and then the office closed early so I was able to come home, watch "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and hand out some candy. I planned on working from home the rest of the week so was able to get some things done around the house and start NaNoWriMo.

If you have no idea what that is... November is National Novel Writing Month aka NaNoWriMo and lots of writers do it to either start or finish their novels. I did it in some part the last two years and it was really successful for me to make huge dents in some projects I've been working on. I'm determined to write at least another 20,000 words before the month is over so I could be almost done with the current book I'm working on.

Being an author is my dream and it's something that I've been thinking about since I was 14 years old. As I've gotten older it's obviously become more of a reality that seems within grasp yet the only thing stopping me is my own self discipline. Over the course of the past few years, probably since the pandemic, it's been very hard for me to be organized and strict with myself. I have no motivation or will to do anything but watch Bravo and scroll on TikTok...yet I still keep up with this blog so maybe it's just that this has been such a habit and part of my life for 12 years it comes naturally.

NaNoWriMo helps me stay on track, even if its just 500 words that I get down on paper so I'm excited to participate again.

November also means my birthday and I'll be 31 on November 30th. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous and having my annual mid-life crisis; I might save this sob story for another post but it's definitely in the back of my head...

I'm also going to be in Christmas mode much earlier than usual because I think I need the extra cheer. We'll see what happens!

Enough rambling, let's get into the roundup!

Pink Positivity of the Week

I had a really great day at work with my co-workers on Halloween and just enjoyed myself. Since we're the social team, we dressed up as TikTok trends. I was 'latte makeup' and it was very cute. I also spent time over the weekend at a 'babies day out' Halloween party with all my friends and their kids. It's crazy that I have friends that have children but it was so sweet and filled my heart with so much joy.
