It's the summer of pink. It's the summer of Barbie.
When I was a little girl, Barbie was my entire world but what little girl doesn't love her miniature blonde best friend? My mom tells stories of how I was so occupied with my Barbie dolls that I didn't go anywhere without them and wouldn't even leave my room to stop playing with them.
Barbie is a core memory for me in so many ways so when word got out that there was going to be a Barbie movie starting none other than the iconic, beautiful, talented Margot Robbie, I was sold. Add in Ryan Reynolds as Ken and other celebrities and you have the perfect film.
When the trailer was released, I started crying, and I honestly don't know who I will become when the movie is released. I am ready to make Barbie my entire personality because that is just simply what I do.
With the excitement behind this film taking over the public, everyone is getting on board with it. The Barbie collaborations are flowing and everything is coming up female. Everything is coming up pink!

However, pink, and specifically hot pink, has been trending for at least a year and it's all going to come to a head on July 21st when Barbie premieres. The color is the 2023 Pantone Color of the Year and I personally feel vindicated that pink is back in everyone's repertoire. Millennial Pink remains one of my favorite moments in history but I could get on board with a hot pink.
I've been enjoying incorporating a touch more pink into my makeup recently so I wanted to round up all my favorite parts of the Barbiecore makeup trend.
