Little Loves, Vol 14

It's been about 3 months since my last little loves post and I figured I'd do another one because lots has been happening. I'm fully transitioning into the holiday season now and I'm really excited about it. I love the fall so much and it is hands down my favorite season but this year something felt off. Perhaps it's the climate change that left New York well into the 70s until mid October (and a few days in November) or just feeling a little out of sorts with all the parties and weddings I had.

I have been drinking Pumpkin Spice Lattes since Labor Day Weekend but pumpkin flavored food was not something I enjoyed this year. Aside from pumpkin bread, which I always enjoy, I didn't like the pumpkin flavored snacks and cookies I tried. Maybe my taste buds are changing or maybe I'm just happy with my coffee and bread.

All of that being said, I'm really happy to say hello to winter. Over the years I've grown to like November more and more; you get the best of both worlds... a cozy fall and transition right into winter and Christmastime. It's also my birth month which is very exciting.

This year, I turn 30 which I'm not freaking out about as much as I was last year when I entered the last year of my twenties. I've made peace with this new age and I'm looking forward to hopefully a better decade than this has been. I also feel really excited that my 30th birthday is my golden birthday. I turn 30 on the 30th and I think that is so special and exciting. It has to be a good omen, right?

I feel like I had a lot to ramble about today but let's dive right into the little loves and everything that has been happening.

My trip to Disney & Universal has been the highlight of my year. I felt so lucky to be there with friends, and on a trip that I paid for myself, that I was in control of. We went to Universal Studios on our last day and I finally saw Harry Potter world and wow, it was like you stepped out onto a movie set. It nearly brought me to tears. I've never felt magic like that.

I loved being in the Magic Kingdom and after visiting every park in one trip, I know that's my favorite. There is so much to explore and to do in this park and I feel like there is something for everyone. I loved seeing the parts of the park I've been seeing on Instagram and in Youtube videos for years; it felt very full circle for me. I especially loved getting a look at the Cinderella status behind the castle.

The highlight, however, was definitely the fall decor. I do think it was a little less fall-y compared to recent years but seeing the pumpkin and leaves on the light poles throughout the park was enough for me. It almost didn't feel real.

I've been paying a lot more attention to how I'm taking photos and I'm pretty happy with how things are coming along. I also have been loving my elevated, luxe mindset. Little luxuries, like a good body butter or an expensive (but effective) lip balm really put me in a different mindset. I also scored a new Slip silk eye mask in Caramel during the Sephora VIB sale which has been delightful. There is nothing like the feeling of fresh silk on your eyes to relax you.

The Kate Spade Croissant collection has been giving me life and I loved this little setup with my two Trader Joes' croissants and little croissant coin purse.

I partnered with Sephora on an Instagram post on Holiday fragrance campaign and I chose the new Prada fragrance called Paradoxe. I was seeing this all over social media and needed it, just for the bottle alone, but it smells incredible. It's a warm, floral scent with notes of white amber and musk which is perfect for fall.

I've mentioned this before but I love seeing the Plaza Hotel whenever I go into the office. It almost brings me out of my body because it's so surreal to be working in an iconic area.

Speaking of iconic... this view from my office is incredible. It makes me so happy whenever I look at Central Park from my window and it honestly inspires and motivates me. Plus, when you add in the fall foliage, it just makes me feel like I'm in an episode of Gossip Girl.

I've been so into my neutrals this season and I love my LoveShackFancy collared sweater. It looked so good with dark jeans, my Chanel bag and Marc Fisher heels.

Have a great day everyone!
