Surprise surprise, it's another Olive & June review! I simply cannot get enough of this brand and these formulas. They are by far my current favorite and it takes everything in me to not place a new order every single week. I am ready to throw out all my other polishes and exclusively use O&J. It's that good.
This week, it's all about one of Olive & June's Fall 2021 shades called 'World Lit'. When they announced the collection a few months back, before fall started, I was immediately drawn to the shade 'World Lit'. It's everything you think of when you think of a fall polish and reminds me a lot of Essie's Angora Cardi... but still different enough that I don't feel like they are identical.
I purchased the shade during the Black Friday sale, just like the other shades I recently talked about and I was so excited to use it. While it does definitely not fall anymore, I think this is definitely a 'year round' shade or at least a cold-weather shade.
World Lit is described as a true mauve but I think there is a hint of pink that makes it a little lighter and more neutral looking vs Angora Cardi which is much darker. That's why I think it's more universally wearable all throughout the year.
The formula was of course, perfect. It went on evenly, smoothly, and without a care in the world. The chipping was minimal and it still looked glossy after a few days. I've noticed sometimes my nail polish looks dull after a few days of wear but not with Olive & June.
This is also a shade that made me so happy when wearing it that I didn't want to take it off. It's definitely going to be repeated constantly throughout the year.
If you haven't tried Olive & June yet, what are you waiting for? You will fall in love!
