I can't believe we're at the end of January... or I could because it feels like the month was 100 days long. It was not what I expected when the new year started... it was filled with a lot of weirdness pretty suddenly. I got Covid and was out of it for about a week, then we had a death in the family, and work knocked me on my ass. It was not what I expected from January 2022 but it came and went, and I hope that I can survive all the other months the way I survived this one.

January was also the start of a low buy for me. I really am trying to control my impulsive spending and I came to the conclusion that a complete no buy isn't going to work for me. I need parameters and rules to follow that allow me to shop a little bit without going insane. I think I found a system that works for me which is another post for another day.

Because of that, I don't have a ton of new products that I loved. Two items on the list are not really tangible products and the other two are new to me but one I bought months ago on pre-order and the other was received in PR. Either way, I couldn't live life without these products this month!

Notion

I discovered Notion at the beginning of December and I don't think my life will ever be the same. I saw it on TikTok, in all the end-of-year videos, and people were organizing their lives, making lists, and getting prepared for 2022. I was intrigued and quickly became obsessed. I can't explain how many Notion boards I have right now and I'm doing my best to play around with different layouts, designs and find what works for me. I've found that I do tend to get a little obsessive with trying to perfectly make a list that is accessible or a page that suits my needs, or just really into organizing my life but wow, this is a life-changing app/website. I simply cannot get enough and I will be doing an entire post on it soon.

Disney+ Yule Log

This Christmas season I got really into Yule Log videos. I think they are so calming and create such a beautiful, comforting ambiance. We had one playing on Christmas Day and it was wonderful. I am also someone who needs the TV on if I am home but I don't always want a show or movie on... I just need the light and a little background noise, especially when I'm reading. That's where this Disney+ Frozen-themed Yule Log comes in. There are two different ones to choose from; one that has paper cutouts of the Frozen characters and one that is a simple fireplace with a little Olaf thrown in. I've been putting one of the Yule logs on at night while I read and it's super relaxing and a great way to unwind. I love hearing the crackle of the fireplace and it's the perfect background noise. If you have Disney+, I highly recommend it!

Ugg x Telfar Fleece Medium Tote Bag

In mid-November, I saw an influencer post that Saks had the new Ugg x Telfar collaboration and I immediately pre-ordered the gray medium tote bag. It wasn't expected to ship until mid-December, then was changed to January, and then switched back to December. I've been using it for at least a month now and I am obsessed. Telfar has the fashion industry on lock right now and getting their bags is like an Olympic sport. I felt so lucky to purchase one and I am completely in love. It's super lightweight, thanks to the UGG material, and obviously feels so soft. It fits a ton, more than any other bag I have, and is just so practical. I will be doing a full review on this so stay tuned but if you can get your hands on a Telfar bag, I highly recommend it!

Josie Maran Argan Apothecary Intensive Daily Repair Body Butter

When I got the email that Josie Maran was releasing a new body butter, designed specifically for sensitive, eczema-prone skin, I jumped at the chance to try it. This body butter is intense, one of the thickest, richest body butter I've ever tried, and I indulge myself in the texture. It's formulated with, of course, argan oil, colloidal oatmeal, and aloe, all of which are excellent for sensitive, dry skin. I will probably do a larger eczema product post at some point but my arms and legs get extremely dry, flaky, red, and itchy when the temperature drops and it's been especially bad the past few weeks. This body butter, along with another one that I recently posted on Instagram, has been a saving grace. The Josie Maran one is definitely thicker and feels a little more cooling on the skin and it really does help 'heal' my eczema. It's one of the best body products I've ever used.

What did you love this month?
