One thing about me that is consistent year after year is the fact that I am obsessed with the stuff. Each year, I never learn my lesson and I continue to impulse shop and make unnecessary purchases... that I believe all enrich my life until they don't.

That's almost what this entire blog is based on: my love of stuff. I mean, I have a golden croissant sitting on my desk! I'm the queen of useless items... but, I love it all the same.

In the same breath, I do want to try to pair down my belongings, and one of my goals for 2022 is to do less shopping. I've said that many times before but have failed every single time so we will see what happens.

All of that being said, I loved a lot of items this year. Some are repeats aka Stoney Clover products and others shouldn't be a surprise since I've talked about them all year long.

Shall we get into it?

Stoney Clover x American Girl

There were a lot of Stoney Clover products I loved this year, and a lot of collaborations that the brand did that I fell in love with... but I don't think anything topped this one for me. When I was a little girl, American Girl was my favorite thing. At one point I think I loved it more than Barbie. It was a huge deal when I got my first doll, Molly, of course... and I remember opening it on my 7th birthday.

From there, Molly was my best friend, my security blanket and I loved her. A few years ago, I was in Florida for work and the shopping center we were at had an American Girl store and when I went inside, I started crying. American Girl just means so much to me... so when they collaborated with my current favorite brand, Stoney Clover Lane I lost my mind.

I purchased a handful of items from this collab: a Samantha and Molly small, a Molly large, and a Felicity and Addy Flats. I am prone to flat pouches because I love using them as purses and iPad cases, but the entire collection is beautiful. Each pouch really encompasses each girl's personality and story. It brings me so much joy to use these and it brings back so many memories.

Macbook Air 2020 Edition

I started 2021 by buying a new laptop. I was in need of something more updated as my other MacBook Air was from 2015/2016. I decided on the Macbook Air that came out in 2020 and immediately fell in love with it. I got the Bronze color which definitely comes off as rose gold so you know I love that. It's also super sleek, chic, fast, and just brings me so much joy when I use it. Having good electronics that make working easier, which makes it more fun and seamless, is so underrated. I look forward to using my laptop every day because I love it so much!

Hey Dewy Portable Humidifier

I suppose this could be classified as a beauty product but I really use it as a health product. I received this humidifier from Hey Dewy in 2020 but it wasn't until this year that I consistently used it. I had the worst allergies of my entire life this year (more on that in an upcoming post) and I realized I needed something to help my congestion. I started using this nightly and have noticed that my allergies and congestion has cleared up a little. I also use it during the day at my desk/work station and it just adds a really nice element of calmness to your setup. It's almost like a meditation, to have the steam blowing into your face and air around you, and the slight whirring nose... it's so nice. I honestly can't be without this humidifier and I can't believe it took me so long to really fall in love with it.

Barnes & Noble Nook Glowlight 3

I ended my year in 2020 by receiving a new Nook from my mom for Christmas. My old Nook was kicking the bucket and I just prefer Nooks to Kindles so I was so happy to have a new one. This got so much use this year; there isn't ever really a time when I'm not reading at least one Nook book. I am also constantly searching for ebook deals on Barnes & Noble and I've scored some great books for under $5. I prefer the larger screen, the buttons to turn the page, and I would rather support Barnes & Noble vs Amazon where I can. I only ever use my Kindle for NetGalley Arcs I receive. I don't ever want to be without a Barnes & Noble Nook, it's my favorite gadget!

Slip Silk Eye Masks

I have been raving about these eye masks for years but this year I think I became addicted. I can't sleep without one and if I do sleep without one, I get a really horrible nights sleep. With one of these silk eye masks, I can fall asleep just about anywhere. I haven't strayed from Slip since discovering them but this year I tried a cashmere eye mask from J.Crew (that had a silk lining) and the Stoney Clover Silk Eye Masks and they can't compare to Slip. If you are having a difficult time sleeping, I can't recommend these enough. I fall asleep fast, stay asleep and just feel so safe. I'm addicted.

*I also didn't realize I put this on my list of favorites from 2019. I don't like to repeat items on these end of year lists but I can't get enough of these.

And that completes my 2021 product roundup! Stay tuned next week for the best sellers of the year (the items you clicked/bought the most) and for my personal 2021 reflection along with some 2022 goals!
