Back-to-school shopping was always my favorite time of the year. I loved roaming the aisles of Staples, choosing my new pens, pencils, and notebooks, and making a fresh start for the new year. I've always been someone who loved writing, being organized, planning and having options when it comes to notebooks.

I always have a pen on me and usually will have some sort of mini notebook or planner in my purse. I need to be able to write down a thought at any time of the day. It helps center me and stationery products are a big part of that.

I love to be surrounded by pretty paper, have countless notebooks for different things, and pens that write beautifully. It's the little things that make me happy and that definitely includes stationery products.

Over the years, I've tried so many different stationery products and I have actually had to really limit myself in what I buy because I accumulate so much. With working from home for the past year and a half, I've been using more stationery than ever, for so many different things, I figured now was a great time to share my favorites!

Stoney Clover Notebook Covers

Ever since my favorite brand released these notebook covers, I've been obsessed. I have three of them for three different needs and they just make me so happy. You can remove the inside notebook and put whatever you want inside, which I do for one of my covers, and I obviously love the customization. It's a great way to keep things organized so you know exactly what each is for. I have one for work (which I have been putting a Kittenish notebook inside, then one for my blog, and one for personal & freelance writing. They are a must-have in my opinion.

Sugar Paper LA Notepads

I've tried a few different Sugar Paper notepads over the past year, and I love them a lot. They are so simple yet really pretty and minimalistic. They have several different sizes with different layouts, but I'm currently using the Today pad in grey. I love that this keeps me organized for daily tasks, the paper is thick and pens don't bleed through, plus it looks really pretty sitting on my desk. In the past, I've used the Concealed Pale Pink Notepad which is my favorite for jotting down little lists or something I need to remember. I also think something like this would make a great gift because there's a lot of options and they're very neutral.

Kittenish Notebooks

This is a very niche product but I have to put it on the list. Years ago, my sister went to Nashville on a work trip and bought me a "Busy As Shit" notebook from Jessie James Decker's store, "Kittenish". I fell in love with this simple, plain notebook that aside from the cover, didn't have anything special going on. I don't know what it is, maybe it's the lightness of the notebook, the size, the paper (which is thicker than traditional notebook paper but doesn't feel like card stock), or the way a pen glides across it. I exclusively use these for work and put them in my SCL notebook cover so I can use two things I love at once! All I know is that I buy these notebooks in bulk from the Kittenish website so I'm never without them. I

Le Pens

I've heard about these Le Pens for years but never bought them. I'm not sure why, but I finally purchased a pack a few years ago, and I'm sad that I put it off for so long. These are felt tip pens that come in a lot of different colors and I love writing with them. They aren't liquidy, don't bleed through the page, nor do they smudge easily. It's as if you were using a regular ink pen but with the feeling of a felt tip. They are very thin so it can be a learning curve in terms of holding them in your hands but you get used to it. If you're in the market for a new type of pen and want something a little fancier than the average ink, you need Le Pens.

Pilot Acroball PureWhite Advanced Ink

These pens have been my go-to for years... like I'm pretty sure I used them throughout high school and college. They fit so perfectly in your hand, are very comfortable to write with, and glide across the page with ease. Lauryn Evarts Bosstick aka The Skinny Confidential has raved about these pens for a while and when she reminded me of them, I had to purchase them. I love writing with these for work, in my notebooks, to journal... they're just the ultimate, regular old pen and will ruin every other writing utensil for you.

What are your favorite stationery items right now?
