For the past few years, my summers have been something less than exciting. I don't know if it's because me and my friends interned all summer, worked, and were just too in between things to enjoy ourselves. We weren't 21 years old so bars and clubs were out of the question and we were busy during the day so I haven't seen a beach in a while.

Also, I spent my summers wishfully counting down the days till I returned to New Rochelle and to my ratchet ways with my favorite/best friends.

This time around, that's totally different. I'm not going back to school in August so the light at the end of the tunnel is virtually nonexistent. It's kind of shocking, really. Sometimes I get these bursts of realization in my day hazes where I realize that this is life now, I don't go back to school and things are the way they are.

It kind of sucks, really. As you can tell, I'm dealing with post-grad exceptionally well.

Not really, it really does suck.

I'm getting sidetracked...back to the summer.

There are always lists of things that I want to do when summer rolls around but never have the chance because theres always something in the way. Now that I'm officially FUNemployed, the world is my oyster and summer is only the beginning.

I decided to make a bucket list of things that I hope/want/need to do this summer and since it's already June 12th, I better get a move on it.

-Walk across the Brooklyn bridge: always looks like so much fun
-Spend a day at Coney Island: something I could always do but never do
-Visit Atlantic City: Harrah's pool party anyone?
-Take a roadtrip: The Carolinas, Martha's Vineyard, Cape Cod, I don't care, just get me there)
-Spend a day in Manhattan: Lilly Pulitzer, Laudree, Central Park; it's right here and I never take advantage of it, strike for me
-Beach, Pool, Beach, Repeat: I need some sun and water in my life, desperately
-Bottomless Brunch: Once again, something right in my own backyard but I never go
-Visit the Birchbox Store: News sprung up in early Spring that the lovely Birchbox was opening a store in SoHo this summer. I need to visit it once it opens.
-City nights: Bar hopping in Manhattan during the summer heat? There's nothing like it
-Baseball games: Between the Yankees and the Mets, you could get tickets for cheap and they're just so much fun.
-Work out: My mom just bought an elliptical for the house so I plan on being a beast on that thing all summer.

Honorable mention: Hang out with my friends, those post grad lovelies and the ones still in college. Without friends, you have nothing.

And one thing I'm not too excited for? Applying for jobs. Go me.

I don't know if I'll do everything on this list or if I'll do anything but I really hope so.

What do you have planned for the summer months? Tell me in the comments!
