There are very few foundations that I believe the hype on until I try it; the foundation is so personal and based totally on preference. Everyone's skin is different and everyone has different likes and dislikes when it comes to what they want out of a foundation.

Personally, I prefer a hydrating, light-full coverage foundation. I love a dewy, satin, or natural skin finish and stay away from matte finishes. The more lightweight the formula, the better for my dry skin!

Over the years, I've tried a lot of different foundations and have loved most of them. There have been a few I've hated, a few I've changed my mind about, and a few I would definitely repurchase. I've noticed that my desire for new foundations is at an all-time low and that is due to the favorites I have in my collection. I figured what better time to do a foundation round up?

These are my favorite foundations and the ones I would repurchase 100x over.

Too Faced Born This Way

This is a complete surprise if you've previously read one of my disappointing makeup posts. When I first tried the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation I hated the way it looked on my skin. It was uneven, patchy, and clung to dry patches. It was horrible. However, I kept it in my collection (I think it's still the original one and not one I repurchased) and tried it a year or so later and it looked so much better! It has become my go-to foundation for when I want to look completely glammed up. It blends into the skin beautifully, doesn't sink into lines or settle on dry patches, and evens out the skin perfectly. It's truly "your skin but the better" foundation and I never want to be without it.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation

I've raved about this foundation before and it's probably the first foundation I have ever fallen in love with. It is very similar to the Too Faced Born This Way but a little more lightweight and a little dewier. I should probably get rid of the bottle I have and repurchase but I'm just totally addicted. I will say that Born This Way has replaced this in some cases but I will never let go of CT.

Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten Baked Powder Foundation

Working for Laura Geller for four years, I fell head over heels for this best selling product. It's not necessarily a powder foundation because it starts out as a cream and then is baked in an oven for 24 hours. *The foundation is also handmade and the process is pretty wild* I've never really tried a powder foundation that I liked because this has spoiled the rest for me. It's not drying but very smooth and has a creamy texture that a powder definitely shouldn't have but it makes it so much better than anything else on the market. I use this as a finishing powder over liquid foundation or as a foundation on its own for when I want a more natural look. If you haven't tried it and are curious about the powder foundation, you need this in your life.

Hourglass Vanish Seamless Stick Foundation

I've always been a fan of stick foundations and when Hourglass released their version, it took the beauty community by storm. It got rave reviews and went to the top of everyone's favorite lists but it took me a while to try it out. Nothing was really holding me back, I just had a lot of foundations to get through. When I did get it, it quickly became my favorite foundation. It's my everyday foundation, what I put on when I want something quick and easy, something that is going to make my skin look flawless and last all day. That's exactly what the Seamless foundation stick does. It changes your skin and makes it better than anything else I've ever tried. If you love stick foundations, or just need something that is easy to apply, you will fall head over heels for this.

Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Foundation

I received this in PR from Makeup Revolution but have had it on my wishlist for a while. Everyone raves about this foundation and it's so cheap! I was a little hesitant because it is full coverage and I'm not usually a fan, but this foundation is very different from other full coverage foundations. It has a demi-matte finish and is very buildable; I love the large doe-foot applicator and dot a few splats on my forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin and then blend it in with a beauty blender. It leaves a very natural finish and the demi-matte is very flattering; it doesn't settle into lines or cling to patches -- it's a pretty awesome foundation.

What are your favorite foundations?
