I've been thinking of new content to create for the blog and I think I want to incorporate new beauty content. I took a look at my content over the past few years and there was a lot of beauty series that  I started and kind of just forgot about. I'm kind of analyzing that beauty content and redoing some of it to bring it back and make it better and more consistent.

One thing I want to do monthly is this post right here -- my current beauty favorites. I include a lot of beauty products in my monthly muse/favorites posts but sometimes I'd rather include a handbag or an app or something random and not focus on the makeup product. Sometimes I love things and use them so much but I loved something else more.

That's why I'm going to start doing a monthly current beauty favorites post to talk about some products more in-depth. I'm want to review the product for you more closely and just be able to ramble a bit more.

There was a time where I took a break from makeup and wasn't excited about anything but recently that has been changing so it's time to bring it back to my blog.

*You will see repeated products mentioned but I think it's more authentic that way. It shows you that I'm really using and loving the product.

So let's get into my favorites right now!

1. First Aid Beauty Bendy Avocado Concealer: I was so excited when I saw First Aid Beauty was going to release a concealer. Concealer is my all time favorite beauty product and FAB is one of my favorite brands. I was a little nervous about it because it does have avocado in it and I am allergic to raw avocado but I figured it would be fine. *I do notice a little irritation when I use it a few days in a row but I'm not 100% sure if it's from this product*.

But OMG this concealer is heaven sent. I have shade 3 and it's a little on the yellow side but it blends out beautifully, is super creamy and a light-medium coverage. It covers my dark circles enough but isn't as full coverage as something like Tarte Shape Tape. I don't judge my makeup based on how long it lasts because I feel like none of my makeup lasts that long, but it seems to be lasting fine. I think this is a great concealer for those who like something on the lighter side, little more natural and lightweight. Definitely, go in store to Sephora and try it out but it's a good concealer for everyone.

2. Bite Beauty French Press Lipgloss: I cannot rave about these lipglosses ENOUGH. I've mentioned them twice before: in my Current Everyday Makeup Routine and my July Monthly Muse, and with good reason. I hate lipgloss and before Laura Geller released Nude Kisses Lip Hugging Lipgloss earlier this year, I never wore gloss. It's sticky, tacky and just gross! However, Nude Kisses proved to me that there is a formula out there that is creamy, luscious, and not sticky.

When Samantha Ravndahl (best beauty vlogger ever) posted about these glosses in early July, I marked the date on my calendar. I purchased two shades, Salted Caramel and Vanilla Latte, and fell in love. They are pigmented but not too pigmented where it looks like a goopy lipstick; they are creamy, apply evenly, and don't leave a tacky residue behind. They are also perfectly glossy but not overdone where your lips look incredibly wet.

I knew I needed the entire line so I ordered Flat White, which is the lightest shade in the range but it looked grey on me so I returned it. Last weekend during the VIB Rouge sale I ordered French Press and Dirty Chai so more on those to come!

3. Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Waterproof Mascara: It's not a secret that I don't really show drugstore makeup on my blog anymore. There isn't a real reason for it other than drugstore products don't really have drugstore prices anymore. I mean, a foundation from the drugstore is running $20 these days. I'd rather spend $10 more at Sephora and get a high-end foundation. It just doesn't make sense to me. However, I had this mascara in my backup drawer and decided to pull it out. I've been using it pretty consistently this month and I am IN LOVE. The brush has spirals on all sides of it, which helps separate and lengthen my lashes; the formula is the perfect mix between very wet and slightly dry which I love and it just leaves me with my perfect lashes: natural yet long and that's all I ever need from a mascara! I will for sure be repurchasing this and probably trying out more drugstore mascaras (I hate spending money on high-end mascara!!)

4. Gucci Bloom Perfume: I've been looking at this perfume for months, ever since it was released earlier this year and made a splash on Instagram. I finally smelled it in stores back in June and fell in love. I finally purchased it this month and it's amazing. It's not an overly floral smell and to me, has a hint of smokiness to it which makes it ideal for all year round wear. I'm not picky when it comes to my perfumes and I pretty much have loved every scent I've ever tried but I know I will fly through this perfume and just want more.
