Beauty in Review: Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick

There is nothing I love more than a foundation stick. It's the easiest, most seamless beauty product to use and makes putting makeup on a breeze. Once you find a good foundation stick, your life will be changed, I promise that.

I've tried so many foundation sticks over the years, and while I've loved a lot I don't know if I've ever had a love quite like this.

The Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick has been around for ages and is one of their better known products (in my opinion) but I had never tried it. Months ago, I was shopping in the Company Store at work -- I work for Estee Lauder who owns Bobbi Brown and we have a store in our office that has all of our brands -- and felt the need to spend some money.

I was craving a new foundation and figured I could use a new foundation stick since I was getting bored of my Hourglass one (which I still love). I swatched the Bobbi Brown one and was immediately sold. The first time I used it on my face, I was in shock. 

Who Can Use It? 

The Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick is ideal for all skin types. I have very dry skin and find that this doesn't dry me out, nor does it cling to dry patches. I have been dealing with a lot of texture and the foundation doesn't accentuate any of it, so I really think anyone and everyone could use this. 

The Finish and Feel

The Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick is very much a natural finish and as the name says -- looks very much like your own skin. It has a medium to full, buildable coverage and the product description says that it has a transparent base that is 'expertly calibrated' to your undertone to even and correct your complexion. 

The foundation is very smooth both in the stick and once you apply it to your skin which makes it incredibly easy to blend. 

It evens out my skin tone immediately, never looks cakey and provides a really seamless and weightless finish. You almost cannot even tell that I have foundation on when I'm wearing it, which makes it ideal for every day wear. I find that it plays nicely with other products and really provides the perfect base to any look. 

How Do I Wear It 

I'm not exaggerating when I say I wear this every single day. It's hard for me to wear another foundation because nothing compares to the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick. If I'm running out of the house, going to work, or just want a simple & quick makeup look, I'm grabbing this because it takes no time to apply and you can wear it on it's own.

I never find the need to set this foundation with powder because it feels like it sets itself, and like I said before, it plays well with other products so you can layer on other creams, liquids or powders with no problem. 

The wear time is pretty great on it as well; I find that it wears off naturally and unnoticeable throughout the day. It doesn't slip or slide off, or wear off in patches -- it looks just as beautiful 8 hours later as it does when you first apply.  

This is probably a top 5 favorite foundation for me and I'm convinced it's the perfect product for everyone; you can keep it in your bag, desk, car, vanity -- it's the ideal on the go product for when you need a quick touch up or want to start from scratch. Whenever I'm in the Company store, I'm always considering buying another to keep at my desk for when I want to do my makeup or work or need to touch up. It's that good.
