It's been a minute since my last Manicure Monday post, and probably almost a year since I did a post about any brand other than Olive & June. I don't know what sparked my interest in these nail polishes again, maybe a TikTok video or beauty editor, but I caught the Gel Couture bug.

My mom took notice because she included a few colors in my Easter basket and I've been wearing them non stop. There's just something about the shininess of an Essie polish that looks so glamorous and put together. Olive & June still has my heart but I've been enjoying the variation.

The shade I got for Easter and have been obsessed with is Electric Geometric. It's a bright poppy red, with a splash of pink and peach undertones, which to me, makes it both timeless and seasonal. It's a bit more neon than your classic red but I think that's what makes it great for this time of year.

It looks so beautiful on your nails, it really pops but has that classic look of a red nail which I've been very into lately.

Essie is a little thicker and messier than Olive & June so that took a minute to get used too but once I got the hang of it, it was a seamless application process. The shining star in this manicure process was the Essie Gel Couture top coat which makes every manicure look it's best.

Even though I've had a loyalty to Olive & June for over a year, I always use my Essie Gel Couture top coat and it always looks stunning. However, when you use the top coat in combination with the Essie Gel Couture polish it's a match made in heaven.

I don't know if my manicure lasted longer than usual, maybe a day or two more than Olive & June but it looked stunning. It was super shiny and looked like I had gone to the nail salon.

Since obsessively wearing Electric Geometric for weeks, I bought two other colors that I can't wait to wear and review.

If you've been sleeping on Essie Gel Couture, it's time to wake up to them again!

xoxo
