I have so many beauty products that I use daily, and I realize I have never even uttered one word about it on the blog or on social media. I am changing that right now by vowing to do more beauty in review posts, even if they are short because I realize I tend to get long-winded about many things.

Over the past year or so I've started to receive a lot more beauty PR and I am so grateful for that because it allows me to try things I never would've picked up on my own.

One of those items that have come across my desk recently is the Ilia Lip Wrap Reviving Balm. I am a sucker for a good lip balm and I am always looking for a new one to try. I have never tried anything from Ilia before, despite knowing that it's supposed to be an amazing brand according to every review I've ever seen.

The Lip Wrap being my introduction to the brand made a good first impression; I've been using it for months and it is without a doubt, one of the best balms that have ever graced my lips.

What Is It

The Lip Wrap Reviving Balm is described as an everyday balm that with continued use, will create a barrier of moisture that helps your lips stay hydrated and nourished over time, not just in the moment.

What's In It

There are three main ingredients in the Lip Wrap: hyaluronic acid, sailcornia, and prickly pear oil. The Salicornia in ingredient responsible for boosting hydration and creating that beautiful barrier while hyaluronic acid and prickly pear oil moisturize and smooth, along with a little plumping action which I don't really notice when using this balm.

Lip Wrap is classified as a clean beauty product, is vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free, and has recyclable packaging. All of those are added bonuses for me and very nice to have in a beauty product!

The Pros & Cons

I have to say that there are no cons to this lip balm, aside from maybe the size. It's very small, smaller than I expected but that is fine with me because you only need a little bit.

The Lip Wrap goes on super cold and it gives you the most wonderful cooling feeling when applying; it feels like you've kept it in a refrigerator overnight and for me, definitely adds to the application experience.

While you might not be supposed to feel a barrier on your lips, I definitely do - my lips feel protected and the product really sinks in after you're finished applying. It's not a sticky, greasy, or slick feeling lip balm - it almost feels like you've put an ice-cold moisturizer on your lips and you're letting it absorb. It's a really cool, interesting, and unique feeling and my lips always feel better after using this.

Lip Wrap is a very easy product to use even though it might sound a little complex. It's the type of balm that you can throw in your bag and can apply in a moving car. Compared to something like my Glossier Balm Dot Com which I usually apply with my hands, this you use with the applicator and put it straight to your lips so no mess is required.

This is the perfect lip balm that is straight up a great hydrator and nourished. It's definitely in the top 5 favorites of all time.

Will you be trying the Ilia Lip Wrap Reviving Balm?
