April felt like a very slow month and I'm grateful for that. The year feels like it's flying by and I would very much like it to slow down. I can't believe it's already May... summer is upon us, NYC is coming back to life, and we're halfway to Halloween!
April was a solid month, I think. I spent a lot of time with family and friends, celebrated bridal showers & weddings and also did a lot in terms of blogging, writing, and freelancing. It was pretty good.
May is sure to be a busy, fun month as well and then summer is officially here. If you've been reading for a while you know how much I dislike the summer but last summer was pretty solid, pandemic aside, so I'm wondering how this summer will go! We shall see.
For now, let's get into the items I loved in the month of April!
Love Wellness
I've known about Love Wellness for a while and have been using one of their supplements for over a year now. However, something happened in the past two months where I wanted to use more of them and became more intrigued by the brand. Now, I'm obsessed! Love Wellness is a wellness and supplement brand created by Lo Bosworth aka Lo from Laguna Beach & The Hills. It's products for women, by women to help with the plethora of health issues we deal with. I love the branding, love the formulas, and love the variety of products the brand has. They put a lot of education behind their products, on their website and through their Instagram so it's really such a win win. I'll probably do a more in depth post about the brand but wanted to mention it because I'm obsessed.
Currently, I'm using Bye Bye Bloat (my favorite! It really helps with the bloating you experience in the days/week leading up to your period) and Good Girl Probiotics. I haven't noticed a huge difference with the probiotic but I'm sure we'll get there. I also started testing out Metabolove but need to try it more before giving it my stamp of approval. If you're looking to test out some supplements, I highly recommend Love Wellness!
Dior Rose and Roses Perfume
When it came to the Sephora VIB Rouge sale, I knew I wanted to pick up some new perfumes. I had seen Dior release this rose perfume a few months back and had saved it to my favorites. It wasn't until I was in store and smelled it that I knew I needed it. It's the most perfect rose scent ever. It's really fragrant and floral but not overpowering. I'm obsessed with the packaging -- it's so luxe for a rollerball and I love to keep it on my desk throughout the day. I haven't really worn any other perfume since purchasing this a few weeks back and I don't think I'll ever be without it. I've always enjoyed rose perfumes but sometimes they can feel a little too mature. Dior definitely hit the nail on the head when it came to this scent because it feels very vibrant, perfect for the warmer weather. It's my new favorite for sure!
Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil
Another Dior beauty product makes the list... Dior has really been my favorite lately. These new lip oils were released a few weeks back and I picked one up during the VIB Sale. I love my Dior Addict Lipglow and this is the oil version so I had high hopes. I was right! Lip oils are so great and underrated in my opinion; they're hydrating, glossy but not too sticky. That's exactly how I would describe this one. I have the shade Pink and have been wearing it daily. Along with my perfume, I keep it on my desk for easy reapplication and love that it adds the perfect amount of shine for a Zoom call. I also appreciate the staying power and how I don't have to constantly reapply, nor does it further dry out my lips. I'm eyeing the clear shade for easy, breezy application this summer -- I might have to get it!
C&C Luxury Rings
I've been shopping at C&C for a very long time. It's a small, Canadian based jewelry brand that was started by two sisters who also happen to be Youtubers -- Toni and Allie Sevadalis. Over the years their jewelry has gotten better and better, and right now I feel like they're having a moment. The quality is superb and I can't stop ordering from them! I've been buying (and wearing) a lot of their rings recently and I cannot rave about them enough. They're so cute, so well made, and pretty affordable compared to other rings on the market. Not a day goes by that I don't wear one of these rings. Currently, I have the Oval Eternity Ring, the Croissant Ring, and the Nail Stacking Ring. They're perfect for everyday wear and look so chic on the hands. I love all of C&C's jewelry but the rings are my current fav!
