I've been busting to purchase some new beauty products. I've been reading a lot of blogs and articles featuring make-up and skincare products that I really want to try. With the end of the year behind us, many fashion/lifestyle sites and magazines featured "Best of 2013" and "What to Watch for in 2014" so it only made me want to buy more and more.
I've been compiling a list of beauty products that I've been hearing are relatively good and recommended. Some are old, some are new and others are kind of random. Either way, they need to be in my hands eventually.
1. Medicated Baby Lips: I've purchased two types of baby lips before: regular and tinted. Both are incredibly moisturizing, leave my lips soft and I don't feel the need to reapply so frequently. At the beginning of the cool weather, I saw advertisements for the medicated version of BabyLips that is supposed to soothe the dryness that happens to your lips in the winter months.
2. Michael Kors Leg Shine: I saw this featured on a beauty website a few weeks ago and was intrigued by the idea. People go tanning and use self tanner to get a vacation glow. Most people (myself included) love to have that tanned skin right before a big event where you'll be wearing a dress and your legs will be shone off. MK Leg Shine takes care of that and allows you to get the glow only on your legs and only with the few strokes. I'm kind of obsessed with this idea.
3. NARS Satin Lip Pencil: I've been seeing these along with the Matte Lip Pencils all over the internet for the past year and a half and I have yet to take the plunge and purchase one. I was at the mall recently and tried one of these...my goodness the reviews are correct! This is the smoothest lip product I've ever used and I need one, immediately.
4. Clear Scalp and Hair Beauty Therapy Treatment Mask: In the winter, my scalp gets extremely itchy and dry. I never am able to find the right products to use until now. I've seen this around and the reviews are pretty wonderful. A deep nourishing mask for troubled scalp seems to be the cure this winter.
5. ELF Lip Exfoliator: I have already purchased this product because ELF was having an after Christmas sale and I had giftcards to burn. The price for this product for the benefits ($3.00!) is insane and I'm so excited to try this lip treatment that is sort of like chap stick and a lip scrub mixed together.
6. Stila One Step Correct: I've noticed my skin tone has become uneven recently, especially with my dark under eye circles and hints of dark spots strewn across my face. I've been searching for good face products and this showed up on a lot of lists. The different colors all have different uses and helps neutralize the color of your skin.
7. NARS Laguna Bronzer: I've put this product in my shopping cart so many times on multiple sites but keep holding back just because I'm too cheap. This is the most coveted bronzer in the universe, I'm pretty sure, and I want it.
8. Olay Effects BB Cream: I've been in the running for a new BB Cream because I don't want to spend $34 on the Urban Decay Naked BB Cream (that is pure magic) and the Olay one for $13-15 seems pretty awesome. It's gotten good reviews and I used a sample of it I got in a magazine and it's purely wonderful. Get me a full size now!
