Friday Five

I had a love/hate relationship with this week. It started rocky and ended rocky with lots of assignments, stress and all around bad moods. The weather was taking a toll on me, physically and mentally, and the fact that it's May 2nd means I graduate in 15 days. I'm not happy about it.

The good news is my Big sister in my sorority is visiting this weekend and it's our annual Cinco De Mayo celebration at school. Also it's the end of a fabulous Greek Week so all will hopefully turn out well.

I really love doing these Friday Five posts because they're things that I've been obsessed with throughout the week and are so easy to write! Also there are always things I want to post but are never long enough to write an entire blog post about so I just throw them in here.

Here's what I'm obsessed with this week:

1. The Fault in Our Stars: I don't know if I've talked about this book/movie yet on the blog yet but I'm going to anyway. This is the best book I've ever read and I'm pretty sure it's my favorite. John Green is pure genius and I'm seriously in love. He is involved with the film version that stars Shailene Woodley and is being released this summer. 

The first trailer came out a few months ago but an extended version was released this week and oh goodness, is it amazing. I cried like a baby because it's so sad and so beautiful. I could tell that this will be one of the best book to film adaptations I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot).  Hands down my favorite quote of the latest trailer "I fell in love the way you fall asleep, slowly then all at once." Be still my heart!

2. Things You Should Never Say to a Sorority Girl: I've been obsessed with this column that Comso posted at the beginning of the week. It went viral on my Facebook page from all different sorority gals and I've read it multiple times. I'm constantly battling stereotypes as I assume most sorority girls do and it was a spot on column. 

3. Revlon Lash Potion: I know I did a make-up haul review/post this week (and I'll be doing another one next week) but I was in desperate need of a new mascara this week. My other ones were really dry and just not applying as well. Ever since Emma Stone became Revlon's spokesperson, I've been kind of drawn to them. I love her and their advertisements but never tried any of the products. I've had my eye on the Lash Potion mascara and finally caved this week! 

OH MY GOD! I'm so annoyed that I haven't been buying this mascara the entire time. The brush is small and hourglass shape but attaches to my lashes so perfectly. The mascara really separates my lashes and lengthens them. It doesn't do a fabulous job at thickening my lashes but I'm not always looking for that. This is a great everyday mascara for me and I'm so happy I bought it!

4. Makeup Youtube Channels: For the past year or so, I've been a big fan of watching beauty tutorials/hauls on Youtube. I love watching these fabulous women review and swatch all different kinds of beauty products. This is where I go to discover new products, looks and pick what items I'm going to buy next. Watching a few of these videos everyday calmed me down and were the perfect way to procrastinate.

5. Lovely Quote: I found this quote on Pinterest this week and it kind of just stuck with me. It makes so much sense and is just all around perfect.
