NatureBox Review

Let me start off by saying that I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with their families and friends. It didn't feel too much like Christmas to me but it was an awesome week nonetheless. I was off from work, baked and cooked, saw my friends and family and got lots of great presents.

I also treated myself to a brand new blog design! How does everyone like it? I wanted something more sophisticated and neat so I hope it's more appealing to the eye. The lovely Lauren from TeachPrayLoveDesigns on Etsy created this and I couldn't be happier

I took a little blogging break last week and this week, with NYE around the corner, may also be a little shorter, just wanted to let you all know!

Now onto the post :)

I love the idea of subscription services; a little gift delivered to your door every month. I remember when I first heard about Birchbox, the first subscription service I ever heard of, and it was something so new to me. I thought the idea was genius.

That was back in 2012 and in two years, subscription services have come a long way. There is a subscription service for everything: beauty, fashion, kids, your dog...even food.

I never strayed outside of the beauty subscription world but after watching one of Blair Fowler's youtube videos where she mentioned NatureBox, I thought I'd give it a whirl. She had a special coupon code to get your first box free so what did I have to lose?

Let me explain a little bit about NatureBox before diving into my review. It's a $19.95 a month subscription box where you can choose (or be surprised) 5 nutritionist approved snacks. I say you can choose them because you have a 'pantry' once you create an account and you can look through the snacks available, place them in your pantry, and then those are the snacks you'll receive for the month.

They also have a surprise option where you can choose to not know what you will receive.

That's how you get your first box...I didn't know anything coming in my box but afterwards, I looked through the site and picked the items for my 2nd box.

Your first sample box comes with one, full size, large pouch (which is the standard size for the snacks) and the other four snacks come in smaller pouches, basically a sample size.

Once you sign up and start paying for the box, you'll receive 5 full size pouches.

I received my sample box about a month ago and I'm pretty sure every snack was gone in an instant. Between my mom, my sister, and myself, we finished everything. Whatever I didn't like, they ate and vice versa.

Once I was able to sign up and pay for my first box, I chose a variety of snacks that we all could enjoy.

In my first, full size box I chose:

I'd have to say my favorite snacks were the Dark Coca Nom Noms, Chocolate Quiona Granola, and Asiago Cheddar Cheese Crisps.

The thing I love most about this subscription service is that it makes snacking healthy a lot easier. I'm not the healthiest eater and I do love snacks. I've seen other healthy snack subscription services that I wanted to try but I think NatureBox has the largest selection. I'm also allergic to a lot of nuts and soy products so this made it a lot easier to choose exactly what I could eat.

There's almost too many snacks to choose from so NatureBox gives you the option of adding extra snacks to your box for $3 per pouch. That's not so bad at all.

Everything was so delicious and it borderline didn't even taste like I was eating something healthy. All the snacks are approved by nutritionists so you know you're in good hands.

Between oat cluster, fruit bars, pretzels, granola, and more, there is truly something for everyone at NatureBox

Have you tried any non beauty subscription services? Tell me in the comments!
