Recent Happenings

Wow...I went an entire week without blogging, I don't think that has ever happened but with all good reason, it's finals week!

I was swamped with work; I had two 10 page papers, two finals, and a presentation, all due on Thursday so the week was filled with long, drawn out library sessions, caffeine and KIND bars. Put it this way, I was the first person in the library on Wednesday (reading day); it was quite the kicker.

Well, I finished brightly yesterday at noon and couldn't be happier. That's it, the fall semester of senior year is over.

It's a very bittersweet feeling; I'm happy that my work is done, Christmas is approaching and I'll be heading home next week for a much needed, month long break. I'm incredibly sad because this is my last Christmas break and when I get back in January, that's it. As my mother would say "The party is over."

I'm a second semester senior and the real world is getting ready to knock on my door. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I do not feel ready to leave college and get a job. The mere thought of it is enough to send me into a panic.

I can't even begin to think about it, I'm sure my anxiety and fear will be catalogued for you all to watch over the next few months.

All that aside, here are some fun things that have happened over the past week:

Semi Formal

It was my last semi formal as an active in my sorority last week and it was probably one of the best formals yet. It was so much fun; I love being with my sisters in that fancy, classy atmosphere. Formal is simply one of the greatest nights of the year.

Cyber Monday Purchases

My purchases from Cyber Monday have (almost) all arrived. I was dying when I opened my Kate Spade package and saw my lovely little stationary goodies! This Great Gatsby notebook, which I've had my eye on for quite some time, is my new blogging notebook and I couldn't be more excited! The literary glasses notepad is glorious. EEK! I'm excited

Christmas Break

I am seriously looking forward to crafting, blogging, reading, watching movies and baking Christmas goodies. Christmas Eve is at my (new) house this year and I'm really excited to help my mom with all the cooking and decorating. As much as I don't want to leave school and have the semester end, I'm excited to head home.

Other than those few things, my life has been spent studying and writing papers. I'm ready to get back into a normal routine.
