Golden Globe Recap

Award season to me is the most wonderful time of the year. I adore hearing who is being honored for their incredible talent throughout the year.

I have a special place in my heart for all the award show monologues that are perfected during these next two months. Amy and Tina KILLED it last night at the Golden Globes. They are insanely perfect and I thought they did incredible. They were the right amount of vulgar and offensive but didn't go over board. They are two of the funniest women in Hollywood.

I don't want to focus too much on the actual award shows but I want to point out a few of my favorite highlights:

-Anne Hathaway's acceptance speech: Her calling out Sally Field and not being type-casted touched my heart. I loved hearing her reference her Princess Diaries today--she never forgot where she came from. I love Ms. Hathaway and her being recognized for her talent was one of the best parts of the night for me.

-Lena Dunham: She is PERFECT. I found my love for "Girls" while home over break when I watched the entire series and I was super excited that she won last night. Dunham is a writer, producer, director, and actor on her own television show--and she is 26 years old! "Girls" is the voice of our generation and Lena is the driving force behind that. She gives us all a little bit of hope that our dreams will come true and I simply love her.

-Jennifer Lawerence: My girl crush on her is ridiculous and she is perfect. She can do no wrong in my book. I love how successful she has become and not just because of "The Hunger Games." Lawerence has real talent and the fact that other people are seeing it and don't just take her for Katniss Everdeen is impressive. I also love how silly she is and does not really care what anyone says about her.

-I loved all the comedy going on throughout the night: from Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell to Robert Downey Jr. It looked like everyone was having a lot of fun and that's the best, when you see the stars having fun.

Now onto my favorite looks of the night:

What were your favorite parts of the 70th Annual Golden Globes last night?
